It happens in the United States too. In 2005 I met a group of traveling Russian youth (19/20 years old) in Orlando Florida at a hotel where I was installing Wi-Fi. They told me they were met at immigration by someone claiming to be their sponsor in America. Within a few days it became clear that he was bleeding them of their seed cash (generally $100 USD) with false promises of work that never arrived. In the meantime he would take some of them out to the clubs in limos and always had a body guard with him. It became apparent based on the conversations they told me about that he was grooming them for porn or possibly prostitution. It turned out that just 2 years before someone (maybe the same guy) had run the same scam. We contacted a local news station and they did an story on it and supposedly blew it wide open. I had moved on to the next install so I didn't get to personally see it resolved but kept in touch with some of them and they seemed to come out of the experience OK. It certainly could have gone badly. What kind of scumbag preys on innocent young people? It seems once people cross a foreign border where they are unaware of the laws and protections they can fall prey to these disgusting human scum. To me, the saddest part is that it seems like the victims are all so innocent. Their innocence and trust is what facilitates them becoming victims. Just absolutely horrible.
They take their passports and force them into prostitution, yes! I was very close to being trafficked, when I was 15, back in Ukraine..I changed my mind about that " modeling agency ", last minute because my grandma locked me in the bedroom and I missed the flight ...long story short, all those girls in my team were trafficked!! I moved to the states shortly after to my dad's... true story 🥺

I know it happens in the US and rich European countries but not as often and brutal as Asia… makes me so sad watching that family become slaves … and i have the nerve to complain about my life as a Mexican American…
Dang, forced slavery/breaking zero each month and being allowed to live on your land and not have to commute to get to work sounds better then most Americans situation. Except we're manipulated and lied too about truth and political situation, tricked this is a democracy and voting makes a difference when when there's only two corporate appointed candidates and they both suck and we're cherry picked by a hidden hand. It literally makes be sick to my stomach hearing the good guy skit from the businessmen and forced labor and installing an industrial infrastructure, giving them a bill after destroying their local ecosystem, build new and unnatural, smart structures to harvest their life force energy, exploiting them to the max/doubling the payload cos your sell it back to them, and threaten violence if they're any objections. Where was JC when she was a beaten and starved slave for 10+ years? Did JC watch her being abused all those years, no friends, no school, etc., and be like nope, it's cool, she'll suffer now but I'll make it ok in her next life?
