I just love your style. It makes me imagine a nice Autumn day in 1948. It's not too cold, not too warm and there's a slight breeze that makes the leaves fall every so often. Also, the fabric covered-buttons on the little playsuit/dress give it a nice vintage vibe. Plaid is love, also long rows of buttons, so yeah, I’m with you on that skirt. Great haul! My favorite is the blouse with the full sleeves and pointed collar. The belted skirts paired with a blouse or sweater are very flattering. The cameo is a stick pin; they were mostly worn on blazers in the 1970's. Yay, disco! TFS.

I think that for a beginner wanting to dress/look vintage, a great idea is to find an image of an outfit that you might like and take that with you when thrift shopping (or secondhand shopping as I call it here in Australia) - and look for each of the different items you need. I saw you (yes you) referencing an image once when showing how to put together an outfit when shopping online, and so I decided to go one step further and use this idea out in the wild. Honestly, it really helped me to find the things I needed and also kept me “focused”...because I’m easily distracted and I get slightly anxious in .... shops, around more than 3 other people... anywhere outside with people etc etc (I’m now distracted by you showing your beautiful acorn container ... I love it 🥰). Anyway, that’s my 2 cents worth of advice. Byeeeee🙂🐿

My favourites were the pilgrim's dress, the button up plaid skirt and... the acorn! Haha so cute. But also that broach. Ok, pretty much everything! I swore I'm never going to buy a winter skirt or a jumper in a modern store ever again. I have quite a large pleated skirt collection nowadays, especially wool skirts, and they're beautifully made and were so cheap.
