Sixteen people do not like this. If you knew the affects coyotes have on animals, to include pets , in your area. They are also known to be a threat to people when emboldened . You will not decimate them. You will control their numbers. .

Really like what you are doing with your furs. Great idea managing your property, not having to do the time consuming work and giving to others.

I think the motivation of starvation during cold times overrides a critter's instinct to survive. You can't survive on a hungry stomach. I suspect that they're willing to take more risks in harsher conditions. Their wariness factor drops at the promise of a seemingly easy meal. The yotes here are a LOT more visible this year according to my bud who's had several encounters with them. I hope they stay that way as I go from deer season to coyote season for me.

Great video Dave.👍👍👍👍 When we set rabbit snares, we probably set anything from 30 to 160 along a line. People never think of foxes and Badgers that will destroy snares, especially the Badgers, they mess the area up and the 8 brass stranded snares are just pulled apart. We do use Fenn traps but if working in a delicate areas we need to Target rabbits only rather than risk non Target species getting caught. Drop boxes work best, I may make a video on these in use, it's always a surprise as to what you get in every box you open.

I don't trap but I love your trapping videos. I've learned enough to ask questions of the local trappers and know what they're talking about. In my area of Pennsylvania, trappers are more passionate than people who just hunt.

I bring dry dirt in a bucket with me for covering the trap. Sometimes I’d get the dirt from under bridges.

Thank the lord! I was just thinking the other day I was hoping you would do more trapping videos. I'm getting ready to run my coyote line, I still have two or three more weeks in my local deer season so I'll continue to hunt to get meat in the freezer, after that its game on until spring against the coyotes in my area

Great video! I agree 100% people get way way to hung up on fencing and scent. It's not as complicated as everyone makes it out to be along with baits and lures honestly most of it is a money racket it's all over priced the old timers didn't have all the crap we have to day and done just fine with.imo

I caught one a couple weeks ago on only two toes but nothing else since but I’m only trapping a couple acres with 4 sets. Still, I did a lot better last year.

Love the Weatherwool, but I’m not used wool as my main over layer so now I need to wait for a fullweight to come in. Wisconsin is very open & extremely unforgiving. Ralph is a great guy to work with though thank god. Sadly, I’m seeing wildlife in neighborhoods that I never saw once in 30 years in the woods. “Progress” 😡😢

We live just out of town about 5miles . At dark every evening from at least 3 different directions we hear packs of coyotes. Ive been told that if you cut their numbers back very far that the females will come into heat more often to replenish there numbers but get overpopulated for a time frame. Is that true ?

The now forty people who dislike it don't know how many times "Bambi" bites it in the jaws of a coyote.

I would like to see how you release a bobcat I live in WV and have cought a couple of bobcats they're mean and just turning a house cat loose isn't any fun

Made all my Christmas money back in the early 80s with about 10 Victor foot hold traps. Mostly raccoons when you could get 20 or 30 dollars. Hopefully will pass that on to my three grandchildren.

Dave, looks like those 550's only 2 coils? If so that is a mighty stiff trap for not being 4 coiled. Ever have any problems with Grey Fox or do you not target those much?

I have trapped a few raccoons out by the chicken coop, and any I ever caught was in really bad shape with its trapped foot. How do you let these animals go with a broken foot? Does it sometimes not break their foot or do you just leave them to tough it out? From your experience how does that work?

I have never used pan covers I think people get very biased about the way they do things the whole (my dad told me!!! Or my grandpa told me!!!) But they dont think or try things themselves
