I really appreciate this video! As a Catholic woman, I find it difficult to dress fashionably without showing too much skin. I think it's really beautiful that all of the Abrahamic religions encourage modesty, and it'd be awesome to form a sisterhood between modest-dressing Jewish, Christian, and Muslim women. :)
I love this video as a Catholic as well. Emphasis is so often placed on being "sexy" rather than being fashionable. I love that these women are exploring their faith, and sharing their steps with us is brave, inclusive, and just beautiful!
*The idea of "modesty" is a complete joke. God created us to be fully naked with NO SHAME and it was only when we started playing our own game that we started viewing our bodies as disgraceful. 99% of clothing has nothing to do with trying to be provocative, it's just the person wearing what makes them comfortable. Clothing does not influence bad actions, bad character does.*
You are such a breath of fresh air, i love to see a non-hijabi that talks about modest dressing, like you said modesty is for all Muslim women, not just those who at the stage of wearing it!
I am a Christ-follower who loves all peoole, regardless of their faith identity. I am nearly two years into my modesty journey and I watch many videos by Muslim women about modesty, both in dress and behavior. I learn a lot about styling and identify with a conservative lifestyle but I usually feel like an outsider. This video made me feel included. Thank you!
As a Christian, I am so inspired by this as well. I have been trying to dress more modestly and I really think we can learn something from such wonderful element of your belief system. Thank you so much
Another Christian here too Luna. :) Was a great video, and as women who all want to dress more modestly, it is nice to know we can find videos like this and regardless of religion, we can all be here to support each other.

I love you guys and I love how you didn't exclude other ladies based on their different religions. Thank you both for sharing and inspiring us constantly with your modest fashion
I made the concious decision to go into Hijab a few years ago an I still find it so hard on a daily basis. this video is trully so inspiring to many girls out there who wants to look amazing and trendy without feeling "limited" because of our religion. ( somehow people assume Hijabis are always in salaah tops) you both are amazing an the fact that you remain proud muslims with all that you do is so refreshing to see. may Allah swt increase you both in all that you do an grant you endless success In Shaa Allah Ameen. excited for the videos to come
this is such a stunning message from the two of you. your honesty in what hijab means and acknowledging everyone's individual journey shows what pure muslims YOU both are. thanks so much. this is so rare. such role models.
you're both so beautiful! Nabilah looks like Desi Perkins!! Also thank you for the disclaimer. I'm not Muslim even though i have no problem with women covering everything as it's each person's choice and that's great. As a christian I do aspire to modest dressing so its nice to see other options that aren't Hijabs or covering everything except those areas.
Nellah Grace Christian women are told to dress the exact same way as Muslim women. God/Allah/G-d gave his message to humans in the bible, the Torah, and the Qur'an. So I don't know what you're talking about. Check out 1 Corinthians 11:2-16.
Inspiring video girls! Really thought that the disclaimer was unique as many muslims will think otherwise. Im excited to hearing more views on dressing modestly especially when going to the beach. Some ideas would be great 😘
loved loved loved! As a young mommy and aspiring hijabi / modest muslim woman this was everything to do me! You girls are total inspiration. keep it up!!! xxx
As im sitting here watching this video, tomorrow would be the first day of Ramadaan 2017 and I think to myself (as a non-hijabi), "crap, the comments are going to start again." And by comments I mean the "Oh she only wears hijaab during Ramadaan" comments from most people. Its honestly such a stress to be going through this as I am a non-hijabi. I too aspire to be a hijabi Insha'Allah❤. However, most don't understand how difficult it can be to transition. Watching this video really makes me feel at ease. I would love for Nabilah to start her own RU-vid channel to inspire other individuals as she has done to me. Aqeelah, you really speak to my heart, please continue this Cover Girl series that you have started, youre creating a journey for all girls ♥♡
Raeesah Adams I started wearing a head scarf a year ago mainly because I hated getting the wrong attention when you walk down the street. after wearing it for about a year now I realise that it's a sacrifice I made for Allah and that deep down I actually wanted to do it a long time ago. I understand the "stress" you are talking about and it's sad that people will comment "rather don't wear a scarf because you never wear it any way" But we are all on a journey to become better Muslims so In'sha'Allah, you will get there 🌷
Yaaaaay! I enjoyed that. Two of my favs in different spaces - fashion & beauty. I wish you went on for longer, that's how much I was enjoying it. Loved hearing from Yoliswa too. Love you and your channel Xxx
Loved this! Fortunately I actually don't even feel like a "mom" with a headscarf on. So I think thats society based opinions. If you are still young and dress "young" it might help with that feeling. You too are so inspirational. Great video. MashaAllah ❤
I'm American non religious and I love watching Muslim fashion videos. Some of the best dressed women I have seen where I live in Charlotte NC wore wearing hijab.
Modesty does not just mean covering your body and head it also means the way you talk, your behaviour for example to be forward is being imoddest for instance if you visit somebody then sit in the lounge and you should be reserved and not walk into somebody`s bedroom for example unless the person allows you to do so. The way you talk to older persons with arrogance and cheekiness shows you don`t have modesty etc. Modesty is basically having respect in the way you treat each other in the presence of anybody!
You'll get there InshaAllah.. 💐 It is a process, although we acknowledge that it is a Must to dress modestly and wear hijab🧕.May Allah make it easy InshaAllah
I really enjoyed this video and your other videos as well. I'm getting so much style inspiration! I wanted to add as well that not everyone dresses modestly due to religion. I am atheist and I do not hold a belief that women should dress in any particular way. However, I am a woman living in a world that is very dangerous and unsafe for women and it's traumatic. And in my opinion it's truly unfortunate, but the way we dress as women impacts the respect we receive from other people of all genders. As you've said in other videos of yours, regardless of how we dress, we will face sexism and sexualization and that will always be wrong, but dressing a certain way does absolutely impact the way people see and treat you. Dressing with less skin or curves showing as well as dressing in a way that looks more expensive engenders more respect--at least in the United States and I'm sure in many other places around the world as well. This is why I dress what is called modestly. I simply don't want men to touch me or talk disrespectfully towards me and dressing this way serves as a layer of protection that sometimes helps me avoid this type of disrespect. I love your videos and I love your message and I simply wanted to add that religion is not a factor for all us modest dressers :)
I also think modest dressing is about you not showing your body just because it’s your preference. Personally, I like dressing modestly because I feel more comfortable that way and not really for a religious reason.
