Crazy this just happened to me too without the ugly crying a few days ago. No joke, I’ve been listening regularly to this album since 1998 (I’m 50 in two weeks). And I hate to say that while I loved the song, it was always kind of filler to me between truckers atlas and styrofoam boats ( which was absolutely amazing live in 2000 or so when I saw them before they got kind of big, they went for 20 mins on its all nice). I just really listened to the lyrics and got floored. It…I can’t even, it’s so…it’s just poetry.
I noticed the other day that somehow I'm only seeing the number of 'thumbs ups' the 'downs' don't have a number. I don't know how why this is, but I'm happy for it, and I hope it says this way, especially when I see mention of someone giving a 'down' to a beautiful song like this.

Does he mean that, in retrospect, say after death, you’ll realize that all the people you thought you knew were actually actors. Or does he mean that in that present moment, you knew deep down, that everyone was just acting. Maybe a bit of both. I love how Isaac always has this vision that after you die you’ll get a retrospective of some sort. “The last seconds of your life, they’re gonna show how they run this show.” Etc.
I am beginning to understand the confusion of the earthly pain and that is misunderstood because the earth is so shitty. The disposition is clear along with the frustration of this current Hell here on earth in our time here. Yes the world is taken over by greed and power, but only two apostles denied Jesus, Judas, who was bought out by the Sadducees, Jewish top controller's of money and their ritual beliefs of all the Jews. Jesus turned a page with the New Testament, which negated the rituals and based on love and truth built believers. Peter, another apostille, as predicted by Jesus, would deny him when the third crow crowd. Survival was what Peter's reason. Greed was Judas's. The angels that went with Satan were 1/3 of God's Angels, not all the angels. Satan lives here and is a total killer to us while his presence runS over this earth, yes; but this will be a blink as we go on. Revelations puts this world in perspective.
