Every time the straight was there the z06 took it. Idk where that blue subie was before but it definitely made its presence known towards the end of the vid. You have a phenomenal Z man. Keep up the great work!!!
Nice stuff man. I think that in the last S curve ( at 6:27 for example ) before the main straight you dive in to early so you have to turn more for the next one and you lose some time there , it amazes me that you can turn so fast even when you have to turn more than others(maybe a good car with good pedal work from you makes wonders), again its my opinion just watching a video and never been in that track etc, keep up the good work and enjoy
great vid really loved it, get a supercharger and your in,sounds like your maxed out on mods in NA had a 350 myself but a little to slow and 2 seater, now have c63 amg 4 door for daily, for fun sport my 85 GLH TURBO Omni(300hp) and 98 civic turbo(400hp) I love all those cars there btw
Peter and Michael are like James May and Hammond, valuing suspension tunning, aero and brakes over HP when building a racecar. I'm more like Jeremy. I think it needs more.... POWWEEEERRRRR
Sounds great! But, Sasha Anis (pretty sure walking in the pits at the start of this video), has the best sounding VQ on the planet now.... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dV0BdWOGoSg.html
WeatherElementpro on an outright laptime basis I was faster. But the Corvettes significant straightline speed advantage made maintaining track position in the race impossible.
I know this is a stupid question but can u give me info on how to participate on one of these races? I know its in Cayuga i have been there with GTA exotics only though and to bring my own car on the track they wanted to charge me like 400 $. Thank you.
This is a CSCS (Canadian Sport Compact Series) event. go to their website and look up time attack. this is Max attack which is a wheel to wheel race held at some time attack events .
aw man great stuff here, i wish people see this more then the stupid 1/4 mile and horsepower chasers. it is awesome to see a STI win =D, but i came from a 04 350z; amazing car but just so dam hard to squeeze some power out of it.
No room for any sort of passes. It’ll be great to see a time attack challenge with these same cars. I’d put money down the Z gets a better time than the Vette.
Jake Mossop yep. That's me in the grey car. Most of the video is from inside my car. I'm a Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs and Canadian Sport Compact Series champion. I've actually won 6 championships.
07Z06ss yes. On an open lap the 330 hp 350Z ran a 1:16.6 and the 600 hp Z06 ran a 1:17.6 best lap. But once you add in traffic the Z06 is too fast in the only passing zones on the track.
+Michael Gardner well all the civic si from 2000-2010 are k20 aka k-series. I just want to know if he was turbocharged or supercharged. I have an n/a fg2 but dont know if i should stick to that or go charged. He looked reasonably fast on the corners
+chris m It is all motor. It might be a K24? I can't remember. I think it makes about 260 to 265 whp. It is pretty good in the corners. It's a fairly light car. It's on continental slicks which the driver was saying were beginning to show their age a bit. It used to be a Canadian Touring Car and Tom has been working on improving it for a couple of seasons.
You are a very good driver, but that z06 could barely hang on to the road to begin with. Apparently having all that top end means its ok to piss everyone else off. When they lose its always some excuse but when they win they act like they have the greatest machine on earth. I have never met a single humble z06 owner. I could see the expression on your face @7:10 even the blue STI was tired of his shit towards the end. He didnt want to let you pass even though he knew you were a better driver. Typical corvette owner stroking his ego, but you had that guy sweating bullets for sure.
