That's like watching one of the best porno scenes you ever came across (no pun intended) and saying, "yeah all the sex experiences people have ever are just like that, awesome!!". No. You show up to a nissan meet, and all their cars sound like fucking garbage. No offense. They're good cars. But the engine sounds like shit.

Would you guys consider a video of discussing what different tires look like after runs like this? I’d like to see discussion around everything from the slicks, 40,100,140, 200 treadwear rated tires in a video. I know - but a lot of beginners at HPDEs seem to freak out and struggle with what a heat cycled tire looks like after some hot laps.

Based my calculations he averaged 115 mph during the lap which is insane. A 911 Gt2 RS did a 1:22.36 lap for reference.

Motec being so flexible, why not implement a max allowed regen strategy based on side G and steering angle? When counter steering less regeneration. If you haven’t done that yet... That whole project is one hell of a feat! Congrats

Sasha always impresses me with his commitment, dedication and tenacity when it comes to motorsports. Even when I first met him 10ish years ago, he was so dedicated to pushing the envelope. What he did with those CTCC Genesis Coupes back in the day... his level of knowledge and attention to detail inspired me when I was a younger enthusiast. Sasha was the first person to ever do a dyno tune for me, and being able to dialogue with someone like him when you are first getting into the modification and tuning end of being an enthusiast really gives you motivation. He is such a humble guy and I'm always interested in what sort of stuff he gets up to when it comes to cars and motorsports.

Thats scary fast, can't begin to imagine how fast that must have felt in real life, big props for building up this car and and driving it like hell with alot of skill. Truelly amazing results. And that slide could have ended badly if he had not corrected it so fast and precise. And the sound, is truelly something that gets me quiet.;-) best sounding Z so far, most sound like trumpets, no offence to the vq owners. My guess is that the ITB's make it sound so amazing,and probably higher compression and some serious head work.lol Great video guys, wish i was there to get the goose bumps while he passed.

This sounds genuinely like a Porsche GTE car from Le Mans with that howl., it sounds absolutely glorious, and this is from a former motorsports (now hybrid / battery) engineer who's worked in LMP / GT racing some years ago :)

Great video, I'd definitely also enjoy watching an entire lap or two from inside the car. The cuts between cameras are really nicely done and give a good showcase of the speed. A 1:16.9 is pretty crazy, I'd love to also see more whole lap in-car footage of that. My personal best at CTMP has been 1:39 in my M2. Watching Sasha bombing out of 3 and into 4 without lifting is pretty awesome, I find 4 one of the scariest corners these days since there isn't the paved run-off that they've added in 1, 2 & 8.

I remember meeting Sasha at gridlife in Michigan when he brought lotus with a Tesla powertrain. I was watching the boys drift and look to the right of me and see Sasha standing right there eating what it seemed to be poutine. Wouldn’t expect less from an a Canadian. We had a good conversation talking about engineering, direction of PHEV’s and BEV’s. Being an automotive engineer we geeked out for a solid 20 minutes. Good guy
