Tyler u can always install an emu wing to give u ease of access to the rear wen the doors r open n the tables down. use the left side so its under the 270 awning. they r water n dust proof wen installed properly. just a suggestion mate. keep up the DIYs mate, ur killin it.
A tip for your 270 Degree Awning, using 3-4 velcro straps, you can mount an adjustable pole on the arms of your awning. That way, you always have it handy when needed and it's neatly packed away when not.
@@krump743 Why don't you visit the website of the manufacturers of these "Free Standing Awnings" and find out what they consider as windy conditions. They all have a different interpretation.
I really like these longer videos you make :) You can easilly cut it into 3x10+ minutes to get more content/money but you dont do that :) I like it... this isn't content for these super short attention span kids :))
GDay from W.A 📍🦘 Goodness👍 to see you’re Still Patrolling, on mine I’m learning about turbo vacuum sensors & daydreaming 💭 about a particular 3D printer, that would of $aveD me a bundle, instead of a Whole New Rad 💧 😢 🍻 🧭 31:20
take a look at the Fire Stryker fire extinguishers, think ARB are only dealer, they will work for 1 and half minutes not 8-10 secs like the "standard" one you have, which isn't much time to do anything. they are expensive, but will outlast powder units....highly recommended.
Cap industries for your fire extinguisher bracket bro. Should work perfect with your extinguisher you have. Mounts on passenger side seat rails. Check it out.
Fire extinguisher can be mounted to the passenger seat front bolts the bracket is available somewhere. And is an easy reach for driver or front passenger
Love Tyler's videos but those prices 😳 so overpriced for what they are especially the center console! And i hope those tyre pressure caps are anti-theft
Hi Tyler. With the tyre monitor system you didn't mention if they had lock nuts as i have used a couple of brands and they have the lock nuts So did yours have them as its a pain when off road to remove them ?
I love the Drift awning and I'm not a fan of awnings so its refreshing to see a good review and description of it. The problem is that while it can be done with one person which is great, I have lots of issues so guess I can't do it 😆.
hi tyler i purchase an ex government car and they place fire extinguishers is in front of the passengers on floor as you place and does not get in the for them and easily in reach for you
The standard seat fabric is actually pretty good. I mean they look good for a Patrol or most Nissan’s for that fact as Nissan usually style the interior with over 65’s in mind. Interior styling was never Nissan’s strong point unfortunately. The std fabric seats in that Patrol looked good.
Good clip bud 👍 the other thing that are great with dash mats is they MASSIVELY cut down that vinyl haze on your windscreen - that fog like haze from the gasses coming out of the vinyl on the dashboard when they get got and it sticks to your windscreen like fog and forever needs cleaning off. I always put a dash mat in, people say looks like an old mans car but I don’t care, it’s practical and that’s all that matters 😉👍 the MSA dash organisers are great too, picked up a brand new one on FB marketplace for $20 😁👍 thanks for sharing bud.
Hey Tyler. I had screw on tyre monitoring system, different brand, but same idea. Travelling around OZ they rubbed up against the rims and really cut into them. Eventually got rid of them. Check to see if/how they’ll rub when you’re travelling at speed. Thinks it’s the inertia pulling the extra weight on the valve stem out towards the rim ✌️
Good point. I would be more concerned about theft. I can't count how many valve caps that are constantly getting stolen off my daily and my truck. Seems like once a month I'm replacing a full set on both vehicles.
I understand the practicality of a dash mat but damn I hate them. Fire extinguisher installation probably somewhere around the front passenger seat. Nice added touches overall.
Amazing!!! You are a clever bugger. With I little tinkering & then a whole new looking interior. I never believe anything takes 5mins. I allow an hour then take 2 hrs haha. Truely like the awning. I’d have one,…if I had a 4WD 🚙 cheers 🐨
Hi mate - I bought the exact same vehicle a year ago, I bought Sand grabber mats, and the department of interior roof console - can highly recommend both.
Best place I found for the Fire Extinguisher's is on the floor just infront of the front seats. I have a pair of 1KG dry-chems sitting in brackets there, no issues with them and very easy to access when needed.
Did you end up selling the Nav? It was a good workhorse, certainly showed that Nav’s with some $$$ spent on them, are just as capable as other 4wd’s in their vehicle class.
I fabricated a bracket for my fire extinguisher in my Pajero, from a piece of sheet metal from Bunnings, and attached it to the front two mounting bolts of the passenger seat.
Mount the fire extinguisher on the left hand floor below front passenger seat bracket. And as you open your drifter zip bag flip it over on the roof and the arms will come out easier.
I was just about to say "too bad you got the drifta owning, the howling moon is much better" but then you said it's 16kg, and I remember the howling moon being much more than that! cool mods. Same with the tyre pressure, they run for 40bucks on ebay they're literally the same, it's all made in china anyway. Cool barndoor table. I can't wait to see all the rest of the mods. Thanks for putting all these videos together! Much appreciated!
I have a kao stand alone rear roof shelf for my gu. Thing is fantastic, also is a great spot to mount the fire extinguisher on the back. Easy to get to and can't get covered with anything.
good work mate have fun doing your mods mate you learn about thimgs when you do it yourself i have a np 300 to mate got some mods coming up soon hope to go to fraser island late next year keep up the good work on the vids an the gu love watching your shows
Just a thought I think how you mounted the trax on the roof rack you should use bolts with full thread to the head of the bolt 🔩 so when you go to use all at once on a hill or bog hole the bolts won't slide around in the rails of the rack.....chuck a washer and nut there and lock them in the 1 spot...👌
Why dont you just spray paint the centre console front section with black so it match the colour with the seat and rear section of that console..since you already took it apart...
I recommend you purchase and fit lsd diff shims. You'll need a dial indicator though to measure the backlash. If you load it heavy on trips, heavy duty rear swaybar really helped both on road and offroad predictability.
Great video again. I have the same tyre pressure monitor on my Patrol. I was told to use the lock nut as they can loosen. They have been fantastic though.
