I couldn’t make the mid mount for the snow plow work well so I made a custom front mount instead.
I use a Migatronic focus stick 160 e pfc stick welder with OK48 (7018) 2 mm sticks on this project.

See this stuff is outstanding. I could never modify anything. But by watching you , just maybe I’d have confidence to try . Good video

Thank you! Its really fun to modify and invent new ways of using stuff. I highly recommend trying! Thanks for your kind words, really appreciate it!

I see you have the same Biltema plow as me, but you had really much work by modifying it. Atleast you have the tools and skill for doing it 😀 Subscribed to you, and will watch all your videos.

Yes its the same type but from another company, but I think mine is more narrow, 120cm. It was way too much work to modify it, I should have just made a different mid mount but OK, you learn all the time! Thanks for subscribing, hope you like the content. I subscribed to you as well. Have a great day!

@@NilsKall Yes it looks just the same as mine, identical that I could see. When we mounted mine, we had to scratch our head for a long time before we found a solution. But atleast we save a little money by buying cheaper, but a little more hazzle.

@@ArcticExploring yes that is true, I actually got mine with another ATV. BUT I think this is exactly the same as Warn Value Line that cos 2x more.

Did the spring kit you put on at the end help with the premature trip the plow had. Would it help if the plow had the shoes on it to keep it from going to deep so you could just set it down all the way and it would stay off the ground a little bit.
@NilsKall
@NilsKall 3 года назад
Hi! The springs sure did help, it is working the way it should now. Perhaps the shoes would help but it wasn’t an issue once I got the correct springs there.

does the Honda hold up well? Did you need to repair the motorcycle?
@NilsKall
@NilsKall 5 месяцев назад
Motorcycle? Do you mean the ATV? The Honda still works great! I need some new gaskets for the carburetor as it is dripping a little bit of gasoline but it is 24 years old so I guess it’s OK. Parts are still easy to find.

You should maybe use 2 springs or maybe 1 spring and along one hooked together that’s a lot of tension on your blade and a long way for your spring to stretch
@NilsKall
@NilsKall 2 года назад
I change springs in the end of the video to the ones that are supposed to be on this blade. It worked great since then.

a lot of work when the correct mount would be a lot better!

There are no front mounts available for this ATV. It is too old. I have used this a lot for the snow plow, a front rake and a front trailer ball so it was definitely worth the effort. Thanks for watching!

You need stronger springs. go to Koplin web site under plow parts. just ordered some from there. good luck.

Thanks! In the end of the video I install springs that is meant for this snow plow and it works much better.

@NilsKall
@NilsKall 3 года назад
