Ridiculous. I've been plowing all sorts of things(snow, moms)for 83 years now. That Dodge truck comes stock with a 14 foot pusher. The only thing he did wrong was not back up the recommended 30 yards,(per manual) and blast the snow mound after picking up some real speed.
Hey hey stan, how are you doing, it has been a. Busy day for me, got my art project done, then i got some math notes copied done then went to my night math class, we had a test but the good news is I believe I did good on the test, it was relatively simple as i had been studying my notes for this.tonight’s dinner was leftover pulled pork, sorting about them leftovers, so delicious, and moist. Tonight after your video i will finalize my work schedule for leaves this weekend and for next weekend as well, since next week will be my final leaf clean up. I will have 5 lawns his weekend and 1 next week. Tomorrow i have classes from 11:00 am till about 3:30 pm, the good news is i get a ten minute intermission between classes and each class is only an hour and 20 minutes. Anyways stan, i hope you and the guys are doing well. And god bless and go get em, your pal and friend Alexander costa
Hey bud! Sounds like you’re doing an awesome job of balancing work and school. Love to hear you’re getting different landscape clean ups 👊 keep up the awesome work & God Bless!
With our company we start at our 2 inch trigger mark and we don’t leave the site until we can see blacktop or it stop snowing great videos we’ve never had good luck with ram trucks as plow trucks, we always run Ford or Chevy
I don't know but it seems like helter skelter. I plow large lots and we have a system to our madness. 3 trucks and a large loader and we slick it up pretty fast.
Hey Stan been watching your videos for the last four or five years they’re really good I know what you mean I push snow at the General Motors proving grounds in Milford Michigan we’ve been doing that for about 15 years now and it’s a big snow as well it’s good to see that somebody else feels the pain to after about 1516 hrs. of pushing snow but it never ends sometimes someone is a little bit easier than others that’s for sure love the videos..
Great choreography going on there. Plowing is tough on equipment for sure. I bet your happy when all the cars are gone and it's just a lot. I plowed apartment complexes and talk about a pain.(but you know that already)
can't wait to get a review of the f14. curious how much better it is than my wideout xl or a boss ext. also curious how much not articulating hurts it.
Great video almost makes me want to go and start plowing again. Retired after 41 years. Better off putting a couple more logs on the fire. Loved plowing at night less cars . Drop the plow and go. Good video nice line up of equipment
Your fleet has really changed from the time you started on RU-vid. I remember when you had to put plywood underneath to protect the parking lot. Something I've always wondered, what do you do if you have to go to the bathroom and you're plowing snow? Do you go where you are or drive to a gas station?
Typically once in this line of work your body develops a pretty strangely accurate "bathroom routine". One can assume for these guys if something irregular comes up it's either dealt with on site for minor movements or a quick drive to gas station to deal with the rest. When I did irrigation especially cottage sites, home owners weren't around, we were constantly finding places in the Bush to deal with things, gotta do what ya gotta do 🤙
This is truly the ice capade for the construction field where there you are landscaper, framer or even heavy equipment operator who doesn't get to see this kind of action seeing these tractors skate on ice strategically moving that snow with all the lights moving around probably good thing we can't hear the backup beepers and maybe an occasional horn hawk it takes playing in the snow to a whole different level awesome guys why hasn't some tractor company come up with a pusher for the rear end of a heavy loader again I am not familiar with snow plowing but so far I have not seen something like that
you need a better loader or a better operator. even if you are only allowed to stack snow in one spot why is he backing up the entire length of the lot. why is a truck able to outperform a loader with a pusher? thats just sad
I lost my license about a year ago and a half ago through my own fault and decisions , and it actually hurts watching you’re vids knowing no one is going to ever let me in the seat of truck/skid steer/back hoe etc. to plow again because 1. it would be really expensive to put me on a company insurance plan , and 2. No boss ever gives a guy with a record a chance .. I threw 12 years of experience out the window because I was too stupid to smarten up before it was too late and lost literally everything for it .. I still and always will love your vids Stan, you’re vids are one of the reason I decided to stick with my job instead of choose a new career and I absolutely loved every day of it .. I just can’t watch your vids right now , I only made it about a min and a half of this one before I wrote this and went to bed lol
Great job ❤ I always wanted to do that living in Chicago but never got to that point. Thanks 🙏🏽 for letting me relive and enjoy watching what I always wanted to do. It’s a beautiful satisfying feeling plowing and shoveling snow! ❄️
Don't forget you can use a leaf blower to clear the snow off the truck also. Give him a raise for learning new stuff. He now knows how to turn the wiper blades off. That will save you a lot of money going forward so he is worth a raise. I would love Muscox to give you a demo model with the dual augers to demonstrate that unit. With your snow you can give a good demo on that unit.
Hey Stan, looks like you and the crew are already hitting your stride with snow removal. Love watching the plow videos! Be safe and catch you on another one....
It's interesting to watch the snow removal, growing up in the Midwest I got to do a lot of it (usually running the Armstrong) . Now I live on the Gulf Coast and I can assure you that I don't miss it.
Hands free mic. Tim? What were you thinking? I just bumped a 4" parking lot sign this morning. It fell right over. Didn't realize I was rolling. Looked down for ten seconds. Then whoops. Oh well I'll fix it.
I know you've really got to know how to use those pushers/"pullers?" and their limits to not do damage but damn! That frame bent pretty easy unless the mans a wreck it ralph full speed ahead :D
@stanley you would have a field day with the guy my neighborhood keeps insisting on hiring to plow he plows flat smooth paved roads with gravel shoes set to 6" height creating a mess (and somehow managed to rip up someones lawn when his inattentiveness resulted in a curb ripping his gravel shoes off), I'd raise hell with the association but as a renter I have no say, and my landlord couldn't give a rip.🤷♂️
Hey Stanley, I wouldn't really know because I'm in Texas where it rarely snows but it just seems like it would be easier to blow all that snow off with a leaf blower. Have you ever tried that?
Still waiting on winter here in Southern WV, it was 66⁰ here today. I know you haven't bought any new skidsteers but have you ever even any thought about running cab tractors instead of skidsteers? At half the initial cost I would think they would be a attractive option. I would think the only downfall would be them being physically larger than a skid and not as maneuverable when using them during off plow season
I am both a fan and hater of snow. I LOVE to shovel the light and "fluffy" snow, but don't really like the thick and heavy when shoveling, too heavy even when I get a "light enough" load, with the exception that thick and heavy makes the better snowballs. And I am also in MN.......About 55-65 minutes, traffic depending, north the TC area on 169.
Stan does the 180z have the updated mounts for the wing cylinders. Mine just pulled off during that storm and my other one is about to do the same thing
Another great show. Love your loaders. Questions does your plow do as much as the backblade. Also I can't believe you don't have a cheap harbor frait shelter for your truck. Keep up the good work God bless you all.
The sdlg looks like it could use some liquid in the tires to give it weight to help the tires bite a bit better we do winter washer fluid in everything makes a huge difference and not corrosive on the rims
Stan, you should keep a push broom in the bed for brushing the snow off your truck. It works so much better than those little brushes they sell. I've even screwed an ice scraper to the back of the broom and it works pretty good unless it's really thick stuff. Lol. Better yet, put up a carport.
Hey Stan! I hope your doing great. Long time fan here. Your snow clearing videos are my favorite. I have a silly question. What are your thoughts or do you have plans to buy/rent a tractor of some type for snow clearing? I would personally love to see a NewHoland or Kaboda with a front loader attached for a plow.
Need some drone overhead shots. Maybe a video on your plow techniques in different lots...commercial, retail, apartments. With & without cars also. As always...thank you for the content.
@@Dirtmonkey so hard to tell now, even my camp up in Maine the snow falls have been so inconsistent and all over the place on the east coast it seems. Should of gotten snow here by now
Looks like that f14 is out performing that tractor by a long shot. Too bad about Tim's rear plow. Probably should have stuck with the sno power don't ya think?
We plowed at the farm with a can am 4wheeler fir years but finally brought a kabota sxs with a plow. What a huge difference just the weight of the machine makes a huge difference
You should try one of those foam snow brooms for your trucks Stan! All we need here in New England is a squeegee so far 🙁 there was more of a sign of winter back in October than mid December.. it's 53° and pouring rain 🙄
@@Dirtmonkey yes sir, we usually have a couple November snow events , and definitely December Snow.. but it is uncommonly warm still. I'm feeling alot of freezing rain and black ice salting in our future here in coastal Maine! Salting and sanding is our bread and butter here!
Stan it's like I said before hardest free money you work for atleast in Philly area can never guarantee you will make any money at it have good years and bad years with only 1 or 2 storms
After lots of research, and watching quite a few reviews, I finally purchased an arctic sno-pusher. Wondering what if any parts you keep on hand for those?
@@Dirtmonkey the second I started watching the plowing vids especially my 4 year old lit up he loves this just as much . Thanks for the wholesome entertainment man
Hey Stan in the first park of the video your truck plow was scraping better than the sledge and arctic. Which surprised me as I run arctic myself did the operator not have it set right? Hard to believe a truck plow can out scrape a sectional. Just curious
Fire him? Give that man a raise, anyone who shows up without fail and early is unheard of in this day and age. Love the videos love the crew love your attention to quality. Happy holidays to the whole dirt monkey crew.
Still waiting for enough snow to plow, what we get falls short of the forecast. Still haven't got past the first plow anxiety and got my snow groove on.
Love my sectional going on ten years.. Have you used a Quatro yet ? I ordered one. Am hoping it will do all the things without bringing in small equipment. Labor is non existent.. Centeal iowa. Looks great n thanks 4 sharing
Hey Stan, Was wondering what your final thoughts were on the SnowDogg plow? Did you stop using it so you could test others or did you just not get along with it? Thanks! Love your videos!
@Stanley "Dirt Monkey" Genadek you happen to know why? Is it purely just a business decision? Like it's the counties responsibility so you don't do it.
