I always enjoy these videos man my top channel I watch thank you Eric for all your hard work and extra time you put into the videos God bless you and your family thank you keep up the good work...
The videos are always great. They always show something different. I don't want you to wake up to early but I would love a video of the milk truck coming to pick up the delivery. 🥰🥰🥰
I jump when I see you uploaded a video. I love how you care for you and yours, including your herd. Also, you guys are SMART. Love the way you make your farm a better place.
It will be interesting if you notice a reduction in lameness and mastitis from the robots keeping the alley ways cleaner. And whether the cows, tails and legs are cleaner and maybe less flies in summer.
Great video Eric! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the modifications for the barn, the robot setup, and use. Showing all the aspects of farming that you do is a great service to farming. Enjoyed the video. Well done!
Always enjoyed your videos. You and your Dad work so well together. Cherish the time you get to spend with him. Life goes by so fast!! Have a great day!!
I'll answer your comment in a separate comment, because it helps the algorithm. Your videos are great. I'm (at least) 10 years older than you, but coming from a similar sized beef farm, I learn a lot about dairy from you. Always worth the watch.
Not a real huge fan of watch poop getting scraped but for some reason I can't wait to see these robots in action. And the nosy cows still crack me up :D.
Eric, you are a smart, hard working young man and I know your dad must be thankful and proud. Keep the videos coming when you can and thank you for sharing with us! Planting season is right around the corner!
Once again another great video and the constant changes and up grades to the farm are amazing. You and your dad work great together and it's always a joy to see that. Never stop making the videos not are they enjoyable but for those of us who are not farmers it's very educational and it's the day to day of a great farming.
Love watching your videos. You and your dad seems to have a great working relationship. That’s something you’ll always treasure and keep with you. Thanks for sharing!
Well you know AT LEAST one of those cows will figure out they have more room so they can stick their heads under those gates and lift them off the hinges right? 😆That would be my luck anyway. Thanks for sharing a slice of your daily operations.
Best farming videos on RU-vid!! Keep up the great work. Be cool if you had the time of the day on the corner of the video as you go through out the day.
I always enjoy your videos. I have tremendous respect for you and your dad. You are hard workers, and your farm is a reflection of your strong work ethic.
Idea for the "removable boards" at the often used doors: put a piece of 2x4 on top of the screwed down one and the plank. Then just screw it down on the small piece. Thtat way it will stay put and you can slide it in and out basically.
Always enjoy the videos. I think if those boards don't work out, you could make a little "snaggletooth" to clamp on the bots' sensor bar out of some u-bolts or something similar: if the sensor is too high, just make it lower. :>
Interesting info you give us. Not a lot of people wanting to work, especially farm work these days. Great to see that there a few like yourself. Thanks...
Great video! We run one of these scrapers for almost 10 years in our barn. Best tip we ever got, is to put 2 scraper blades behind each other, so you get a thicker rubber. This extends their live more than twice. Because the single will bend/flip back when it gets older. With 2 this doesn't happen.
Eric, your videos are a great way to educate myself in all the work necessary to bring dairy products to my table. Thanks to you and your Dad for your hard work. P.S. thank the cows for me 😄
Great team work Eric & Dad. I like how your dad lets you run with things Eric. You’re developing good all round skills which are crucial on a farm. Good job.
Eric have you ever noticed how the milk ladies are always so interested in what you and your dad are doing to improve their homes? I have always liked cows. They are a lot smarter than most people realize. Y'alls herd is such a healthy looking bunch. You two are some of the hardest working men i have ever seen. You have to be to be a farmer. Especially if you have livestock.
Awesome watch! Question, don't mean it in any way though, but how come you didn't weld a piece of that 1/8th to the front bumper of the robots, that way you wouldn't have to adjust the height of each curb. Unless that messes with the sensors or something, just some food for thought!
Good job on those gates, a lot more to it than some may think, you make it look easy. I appreciate you sharing your videos, hope everyone has a great week, stay safe.
Have F&T locate the charger as far from the gate hinge as possible to allow adequate room for machine to “wall follow” straight into the charger. All wire and plumbing to and wiring run in conduit. Cows love chewing them!! And great job on the videos!
I actually found you from watching other RU-vid farmers. Several mentioned that they started their channels from watching you. You’re the OytF “original RU-vid farmer” 😜
You’re my favorite dairyman to watch on RU-vid! Excellent videos! It fills my need and desire of going and being on farms. Thank you for supplying America with dairy products!
This vid was great! If I didn’t enjoy it I would be honest so please know I always enjoy your channel. Some I like better than others, but I ❤️ ‘em all!! So enjoy your quiet, hardworking father as well. Such a great man!
I owe you $20 for the scraper robot purchase. I said when you were talking about getting one I would contribute $20 for it. I know…it’s a drop in a bucket, but hey it’s still a drop. Please add your PO Box in your next video so I can keep my word. Thanks. Linda
Definitely enjoying the videos. Everytime I see the manure scrapers in the video I think "Ooooh, is today the day?!!" I don't know why I am so excited to see a poop scraper work, but here I AM!!
A word of caution: Welding galvanised steel (zinc coated) is hazardous for you. The fumes can give you an illness similar to influenza - welders lung. If welding it, grind to remove the zinc where the weld is to be. Finally, spray with a zinc spray afterwards for good protection of the metal. That spray can be found at welding consumables suppliers. Great work though. Your welding is getting better. Gates are difficult to work on. Those small inverter welding units are awesome!
Hey Eric, great video as always 👍🏼 I would like to give the advice to add a second board of rubber for the scraping, so that you won‘t have to have too much work for the maintenance of the robots. Greetings from Western Germany ✌🏼
