I keep coming back. Sometimes it takes a while for me to find this gem, but damn it's always worth it. The composition, the intention and the minimalism of this sounds is incredibly satisfying. I guess what I am trying to say is.. Thank you. To you who is inspired, go for it. Whatever happens, it will be genuine.
I think this has become my favourite of the MOTR series of clips. I really like the sounds made, the compact set-up and neat tricks with the SQ1 sequencers and the ambience of the city view. I confess it was this clip and then watching Nick Batt with the Erebus on Sonicstate straight after it that made me go and buy an Erebus immediately :)
This video convinced me to get into synthesizers and start making music again. Seven years later I've never come to close to anything this fantastic, but I've had a lot of fun trying and made a surprising number of friends along the way.
As if YOU try to manage any contact with buildings of the city on the horizon...have they contacted YOU back, in the meantime? Beauty...and some form of abstract serenities. I think this is a really unique ways of looking at life...love it!
Nooooooooooooooooo - please not!!! Stay with a few boxes and focus on the music! Ok. maybe a decent reverb - BAM? Ummmm FILML4D4N wrote "dont need" and I missread "do need". Sorry but you got my point anyway. The Atlantis is a gem, had it and miss it now a little bit. Also teh erebus is fine, but I found it in the end too limited, never used the duo mode. But the dreadboxes have a really heavy sound that go on par with the moogs.
Amazing! Found this during one of my late night RU-vid explorations, listened to it until I fell asleep. First thing the morning I woke up, was playing this again. Amazing...
I'd love to Nick, but i have zero experience with modulars unfortunately! I am thinking about getting a system, but i'm afraid i will get lost in endless patching sessions... But it's so tempting! I love your work by the way, gives me a lot of inspiration!
Timecop1983 Likewise! Love your music. I think we have smiliar influences. If you're nearby and want to hang, i can show you my modular. i think it'd be a blast
Very clever set up, i'm not realy in to eurorack modules cause they are limitless, i like the limitation of a small system. Came at your channel cause i was looking for erebus videos. A tiny clever set up makes a great set up. Still got the SQ1 drivin my mutable shruti wich is a great combo for my own set up. . . . . . but this set up made me look in a other direction as well . . . . big thumb up
