Lesson 2 Listening tours
Having difficult conversations in the workplace is necessary to build an inclusive work environment where multiple voices are heard and honored. I will share with you some tangible strategies for engaging in those difficult conversations and personal traits that believe a facilitator needs to lead a difficult yet productive conversation. As a heads up you will need a partner for the activity later on in this lesson.
Collecting quantifiable data is essential. It's a pretty clear and straightforward way to understand your stakeholders. But it can be a bit distant, lack context, and be void of human touch. A method of getting precise qualitative data is by talking directly to people through listening sessions.
