Thanks for your clear video which enabled me to get my system working again with no tools, no parts and no call out fee! Nice one.

Thanks for this great video! We bought a house with a Paramount system and are now getting low pressure. This very thorough video is just what I needed to help troubleshoot and determine what parts might need to be replaced.

thank you so much. My system is 11 years old, and I just ordered a new set for the two housings. I appreciate you making this video,.

Thank you very much for this excellent video, Jim. My system was stuck in one zone. I did exactly what you said to do and it now is working great!

Many Thanks. It was comforting to hear useful advice on the Paramount distributor After the video, I check on the valves and I saw that that our Vision 2 cartridge is self-destructing and little round balls were propping the valves open on the Paramount distributor. The distributor works fine now.

To Paramount, I spent time to study the valve today, and figured out the water valve is actually very easy to rebuild. But we need Paramount to make the rubber gasket/seal available. Please help to protect our earth. do not force us to buy the whole water valve. and be friendly to our wallet.

Excellent video, Thanks for sharing. My system appears to be damp and pressure gauge is not working. I'm going to open it up to check for leaks and clean the valves up since all nozzles are in the popped up position.

Thea Paramount pool cleaning system is a very good unit. However I find is that intsructional videos are very vague , they only hit the top of the issues they could be frustrating to the the pool owner .My advice is to actually study the units 6 ports, that is what I have done so. I have studied the way the . water valve is made how to actually install it and rebuild it. and to make sure that there are no cracked parts or valves sticking open after years of use. You can still use it by making sure your valves don't stick by getting the rust out of the valve stem. You can use a light derusting product and make sure that these stems are free from rust by using a good lubricant .I would recommend a liggt marine lube on the valve shaft Also make sure that your gears are evenly aligned and put a light coating on the gears of a marine light greas ,make sure you use a light coating only,as not to impede rotation of the gears. The main issue in dealing with the in floor pool cleaning system is to educate yourself have knowledge of the structure of the unit& to maintain clean parts and to make sure the seals are tight and flush. Nothing is easy on a complex unit like this. You must educate yourself,and if you don't know how to service these units,then seek professional help. tWith owning a pool comes an obligation to maintain it to the highest integrity and have good knowledge and patience and seek advice when needed. have patience and most of all have fun . Thanks David.

Trust me when they say to use original Paramount parts. Yes they are expensive but they will last 5+ years. I bought a generic port module off eBay for about a hundred bucks and it did not even last one year. so unless you don't mind replacing it once a year go ahead and find an OEM for a few hundred and forget about it for many years.

Thanks - this is really helpful and would have been more helpful if I knew it existed yesterday before I removed the module. When I removed the module I found a white plastic propeller inside that had broken away from its mounting and was loose inside the module. My local supplier told me it cannot be repaired and I must buy an entire new module for AUD$400+ as well as another $100 or so for labour to install it. Is that true?

A couple of questions first; Why were you trying to remove the module to begin with? And, are you the original homeowner/pool owner and how old is this module - if you happen to know?
@michaeleckert5877

ParamountHowTo I take the module out because the pool cleaning company that installs it or put the pool in does never correctly put the seal back in with the proper pool seal the lubricant that goes on the Rubber seal and I know how to do this because I studied the engineering on this and I was put several pools in myself I have been the owner of this pool for seven years I have watched them put this pull in and crack the bottom with you in pool cleaning Jets using rigid PVC I have been appalled at what I have seen with the pool industry so I do have good knowledge of how this system works and I took the Macho out because it doesn't work efficiently when somebody puts it in and they don't put it in with the clean gasket so as you know the unit should have a clean gas could I'd write seal and to let you also know it was leaking so I paid $285 to have the pool open and this is what I come up on every year every single year for the last six years the pool company tells me that they basically don't have time to address it so I have only bought the part I have disassemble the unit I have put it back together works perfectly I am the type of person that can fix about anything if I put my mind to it and I thought today was a good day to let people know that they need to stop complaining and try to do things and if they can't they need to seek professional help is to maybe call your company thank you for your interest in my response

Great video. I have the same module in the video with exact same part number. However my module has three plungers instead of six. Three holes have a plunger and the other three are empty. Is this normal? Guessing it has three wall jets that are always on and the three with plungers operate the three jets on the floor one at a time.

The white gaskets (I think sometimes called spider gaskets) on the bottom side of my 4-port and 6-port pcc2000 modules are breaking apart with large sections missing. Do you sell or can Paramount send my replacement gaskets? Will performance suffer without these gaskets? I would hate to have to spend in the range of $400 for two new modules for $5 parts. Thanks,Rich

Hello and thanks for this channel. I have a 6 port paramount valve I am troubleshooting. Does anyone know if rotating the gears manually should open and close the individual valves or are they opened up by water pressure? Thanks in advnace.

Can you post a video on why Paramount has such shitty quality and why I have to pay $250 every time this thing fails instead of being able to fix the single faulty valve?
@saileagleswings

My 6 port valve does not switch valves. When I rotate the gears by hand, i find a spot for which a little more force is required to continue rotating the gears. Is this normal? The 6 port valve is only about 1 yr old.

Many thanks, for the idiots out there (myself), why does my module not come out easily? I pull straight up, but it feels like there is a suction lock.. I've opened up my filter to relieve the pressure, but no dice.. does it mean I may have a blockage?

I replaced my 6 port module twice! It keeps getting stuck on one zone. Each zone is 12 on the pressure gauge, its stays on that zone for about a min and moves to the next... The zone it gets stuck on the pressure is 22. Much higher for some reason. It gets stuck here. Any clue why I get so much pressure on only one zone? or why its keeps getting stuck? I returned the last module for a new one thinking it was the module.. I put the new module in and it did the same exact thing. Anyone have any advice on this issue?

This video is lacking a lot of information unless you want to sit in the store and play with a brand new unit. Us in the real world have to deal with real systems, real problems. Couple this video with other videos which show how to remove a REAL unit from the ground and you will have the complete story. For one thing you have sucktion and you need to get a small screwdriver and gently pry the lid from the unit. Second the mechanism may come up with the lid and not stay in the base. There is a way to get the unit out of the lid without busting it, but hey, what do I know.

The bottom of my 6 port has heads sticking up but the bottom does not look anything like this video. Mine has white plastic things. If this video is old you should remove it. Not helpful at all!

If enough people use social media to get the word out to boycott Paramount products they will quickly do something about the poorly made modules! Their are other products out there.

Why are these valves junk? They last 2-3 years and home owner has to replacement them paying hundreds of dollars. Talk about screwing the home owner over with cheap china junk!
@jeffchen1473
@jeffchen1473 3 года назад
exactly, why do not they sell the parts to repair the valve? Today, I spent time play with a failed water valve. it turns out the water valve is very easy to rebuild. just do not know where to get the rubber gasket. the company sells the water valve should really sell the parts.
