Thank you for these tips. But your Screen Shot tip doesn't work on my Montage.

For Montage: Put a USB flash stick into the USB slot, press and hold down the A/D Input On/OFF switch, then press the lower [SOLO] key and you will get a PNG on the USB drive with a name like "DSNAP_0.png".

Tip #6, go into Utility Settings and turn Flash to Off. This will make the Superknob solid, so it doesn't have that incredibly annoying throbbing.

The MODX is a really well thought out synth with a huge amount to things to tweak, Yamaha have made a very impressive synth. The first change I made to my MODX was Tip 1, get rid of that blur screen. The colour display is actually very good, clear, accurate, good font choice and good colours. Another adjustment I did was to re-calibrate the touch screen to suit my finger tips.Another was to calm down the flashing Super Knob light, just way too distracting, turn it down.

Great and useful tutorial...can you make a tutorial on how to create a full song track using MODX and DAW. Your tutorials are crystal clear and am sure you'll make a very good tutorial on using MODX to create a full song track...cheers

Thanks for a great tutorial! One of the things I’ve noticed is that the knobs and Super Knob are quite ‘stepped’ when they’re tweaked; you can hear quite a pronounced stepping rather than a nice smooth change of the parameter. Is this just something we have to accept ( because there are only 127 values from one extreme to the other ) or can there be a more natural, analog, smooth increase or decrease of the effect on the parameter you’re changing?

Great question, and yes this can be controlled: these knob assignments are made in Mod/Control->Control Assign, simply decrease the "Ratio" of the curve or use a different curve type, or even create your own user curve to your liking. there r 4 sliders in the modx, i was wondering if those can be used as volume part /instrument controls, like say: slider1 for piano; slider2 for strings; slider3 for epiano; and slider4 for organ. thank u for answering 😊 God bless sir.

..I bought modx6 2 weeks ago and im so happy with it...i have melas tools too and i tried to make a performance with a drum loop(slices) it works great but sometimes the arpeggios are not in sync... is there a option to sync them?any global sync or else..??? regards

Ubr too good brother , very talented, this board is a waste , I have a Yamaha MODX 7 and a Yamaha psr SX 900, SX 900 is far far better , this MODX is complicated, and tiring and not at all good may be I like arranger boards thank u
