Turning away from evil is good in itself? Good then can be defined as the absence of evil in that respect. There are clear acts of good, and turning away from evil to conversely commit an act of good is self-evident in its virtue, but if an act of evil involves direct action whereas turning therefrom involves inaction, then that would too be good, would it not? By that logic, good is not necessarily stronger than evil but greater in number. Applying Set Theory to this, let us assume a line of humanity with a beginning and indefinite end. All humans possess the capacity for evil, therefore the potential evil is infinite, but if the absence of evil is good, then there is an uncountable infinite set of good. However none of this implies any form of strength. The idea though that an effect cannot be stronger than its cause is a fallacy dependent on frame of reference. For example, is a child incapable of having a greater effect on the world than his parents? In the case of love and hatred, can hatred not surpass love in strength due to evil e.g. betrayal? And this hatred can beget further evil still.
Aren't paragraphs two and three in contradiction? Paragraph two seems to imply that souls move from love into hatred, wheras Paragrpah three seems to imply souls move from hatred into love. How do we know which is the cause and which is the effect?
Really cool art, seriously, but please get a therapist instead of a religion. If there's something I can do to help others digitally then it's speak from experience. Truly believing in these things will make you feel like it's getting better, but it's an illusion. There are true things out there and divine intervention is not one of them. However you take this, I hope you have a life of experiencing love from others.
I am mentally sound and do not need therapy or medication at the moment… but thank you. I’m not really relying on religion for my mental health. I also love science and have an astrophysics degree. I am skeptical and faithful at the same time. Thanks for understanding. Goodbye.
the two things aren't mutually exclusive and aren't interchangable. One is a belief and the other is a treatment. Some nutjobs want to monopolize by making theirs exclude all others, though.
