Nah, he never cared about it to begin with. It was just a means to an end, sure it was powerful, but no more than any other lightsaber. It's status would be wasted on him since mandalorians would never follow him, so yes, he cared nothing for the darksaber and was perfectly ok with destroying it
@@B1izzardHawk Yeah, i think it is also not practical for a mandolarian to use. Without force sabers are useless and crude weapons. And why they made a huge deal about darksaber to begin with. It is just another macguffin and I hope the hilt serves the purpose.
@@lactobacillusacidophilus Though it would be interesting if they recovered the crystal, and maybe later on Sabine and Grogru lead a Jedi Mandolarian sect. Training any Mandolarians with potential. Previously the Republic wasn't allowed to recruit from Mandolore so there could have been many force sensitive Mandolarians in the past
Because it can cut through best car or something like that from what I’ve heard. Something that a light saber is not capable of.@@lactobacillusacidophilus
@@B1izzardHawk I mean in a fight it’s not really stronger than a basic light saber when It comes to a dual. but they said it could cut through anything, which would include things possibly like their armor, which is basically indestructible to almost anything and even the basic light saber
If Moff Gideon some how survives this, then I think his true death will come at the hands of Admiral Thrawn. Thrawn always respected the history and artifacts of cultures and species. If Thrawn learns of the dark sabers destruction, not only from a tactical standpoint, Thrawn would understand how terrible of a choice that was to make. Thrawn would absolutely execute him worse than Vader could.
I feel like the appropriate course of action for the new canon Thrawn would be to come back and say, "The Empire is gone? Good. My obligation to that old man was getting tiresome and interfering with my ability to handle matters that I care much more about." At which point, he can just kill off the remaining Empire leaders.
You say Thrawn always respected the history and artefacts of cultures and species; how do you know. This will be Disney Thrawn meaning the fans should be grateful if they make him blue
Can we take a moment to appreciate Katee's acting? The way she screams in anger as she charges at Moff Gideon. You can just hear her pain from going through everything she did after she was forced to surrender and helplessly watched her planet destroyed by him. Now she's not going to make that same mistake again, she's determined to *end* things now. Terrific acting from Katee.
Grogu is 53 and knowing Yoda was training Jedi by his 100th year, Grogu will be mature within a few decades! This is counts as training and he's already proving to be a good Mandalorian!
@@hydroshock1853 indeed, he actually hold his own pretty well considering his lack of combat skill. Funny thing I see myself fight like that once I hold a lightsaber lol
Very likely not. The entire area where the crystal was being held and all that got destroyed. The crystal was unstable enough already, so it’s most likely shattered and unable to be remade
@@errorreaper6483 even if the crystal could be healed, it's a technique no current Jedi knows. Rey only knew it from the ancient texts. And only a Jedi can make the hilt, which is beyond Grogu's current capabilities.
1:19 even though it was grogu that saved Din and Bo. This scene shows how much the both of them went into parent mode and shielded Grogu from the fire.
That was a Gideon BOT you can twll how he crushed the dark saber with eas (robo hand) and the his movement after that suggest droid behavior, Gideon is NOT dead. Those clones show he has a contingency plan for every situation.
Ok the after all this time, after everything the dark saber has been through. Being made of beskar I remind you. It is crushed by simple cybernetic enhancement?
It was power armor. The scenes with Gideon even had the sound effect for servos working in some cuts. Taking him out was a collective effort and that was a good thing.
"Mandalorians are weak once they lose their trinkets." Says the guy who would have been killed at least 4 times over before getting the upper hand had it not been for that beskar armor.
Choreography was actually really good in my opinion, and it at least makes sense why it’s so clumsy and comfort some compared to the other fights, they’re literally wearing full armor that is most likely heavier than most metals in real life, not to mention the dark saber’s weight is dependent on how the person is feeling so it makes sense for it to require big swings as it takes a lot of effort to pick up, Making those big swings will cause the weight of the blade to swing down extremely hard, and they’re wearing armor, so it’s fine to make these big swings that expose your body to openings.
If the crystal is still intact, yes. If not, goodluck finding another dark crystal considering not only its rare but also that Ilum is already built to be the Starkiller base
You know what really ticked me off about this fight? It wasn’t the fact that Moff Gideon looked like he was gonna target Grogu at the end (although that did make my blood boil a bit). The main thing was that he broke the Darksaber. THAT THING WAS KRIFFING GORGEOUS!!! AND YOU TELL ME IT GETS *CRUSHED* BY THE DUDE’S *BARE HAND!?* ABSOLUTELY NOT! That thing deserved a better demise.
People saying that Moff Gideon was a clone cuz he "haD nO MusTacHE", as if it's a foreign concept to shave in the star wars universe. But i also feel this is the perfect ending for Gideon. This fool belived himself to be great, and in his meglomania, he created clones of himself to be force sensitive cuz he believed himself to be perfect already, so giving himself force powers would make him even more perfect. He was ambitious, openly questioning Thrawn's orders and fashioned himself in Darth Vader's image. So it's the perfect ending for someone who believed himself to be the future of the empire to meet an undignified end, engulfed in flame as his aspirations are destroyed because his ambitions exceeded his worth.
Something was wrong with this fight Just after Moff Gideon said “hand over the dark sabre and I will give you a Warriors death” At 0.38 or 0.39 on this, Bo Katan did a sweep cut just above his shoulders and in-line with Moff’s helmet. That should of decapitated Moff. Yes he wore Beskar but there is a clear gap between his shoulders and the bottom of the helmet, the sabre would of slid along the shoulder part and then slice underneath the helmet. The angel of the sabre strike would be a clear head cut and it’s supposed to cut through anything except beskar armour, Moff Gideon head should of gone flying with that attack. Watch it a few times and it definitely looks like a decapitating strike. Does anyone else think this ??
The fact that they were stupid enough to destroyed off the coolest Lightsaber in all of Star Wars The Darksaber in that final episode is the only thing that actually pissed me off I was really hoping that The Mandalorian would win back the Darksaber considering the fact that The Darksaber was way more cooler with The Mandalorian then with Moff Gideon or Bo Katan.
anyone else noticed the slight musical similarities with Fallen Orders main theme throughout this episode, figured it was a nod due to Moff using a similar color scheme and weaponry as a purge trooper praying for a Cal cameo someday, any show, please. we're all desperate
I agree, and I also hope in the next mandalorian season grogu will have a mandalorian helmet, and yoda's green lightsaber to become a jedi when he grows up.
@@nilesclifford9704 I would like to see that a time jump older grogu wearing a mandalorian armor either sliver or brown to honor his clan clan mudhorn and using Yoda lightsaber with a mudhorn signet it would be sick . also members of clan mudhorn helmet has a horn middle of his helmet and a cape of mudhorn fur kinda like the Vikings use to wear fur back then
@@nilesclifford9704 I agreed brown color fits on the mandalorian armor with mudhorn fur and bones mix with custom weapons it would be cool im gonna be sad if the time jump we see din dijarn as an old man he can still fight alongside with gorgu and his rest of his house of clan mudhorn members.
the only thing good about this fight was infact that their armors was actually able to withstand blaster fire/ saber cuts, something they missed in the main starwars triology and the 3 that came after that
