@@boneman-calciumenjoyer8290 me too, I’m pleasantly surprised he was so chill and nice compared to Varre. You’d expect him to be just as bloodthirsty but he seems quite in control of himself
@@Ankylosaurus_mangiventris I'm not even sure how to think about Varre anymore, since we know that most of Moghs followers had been charmed by the time we first enter the lands between.
@@boneman-calciumenjoyer8290 maybe the bloody fingers used to be pretty chill before Mogh got entranced and took Miquella and Ansbach was from that era of cool nice-guy inavders. I mean he doesn't wear anything resembling the surgeon set so maybe it was different in his time
So it turns out that the Super Omen Brothers, outwardly the most evil-looking demigods, turned out to be the most morally good ones. Morgott wanted to just stick to the status quo and protect the order he was born in even if it rejected his omen origins, while Mohg just wanted to chill in hell with his blood God cult (and judging from ansbach they were all homies) before he got miquellested.
@@BrandonKGAnd? Just being "evil" is not really unique among the demigods. Ranni is a murderer, Radahn is a warlord, Rykard is all kinds of fucked up, Miquella is a manipulator, Malenia literally nuked Calied and Messmer is a genocider. You can pretty much just make the case that only Godfrey's children were mostly "OK".
I cant help but be cynical and think that they changed the lore to make Mogh the victim while originally he was a disgusting pervert. Maybe for a cheap plot twist or for some other implications.
@@SIGNOR-G why would you think that? It was well established that Miquella had this power. The whole "Mogh was manipulated into it" point was a very popular lore theory before the dlc dropped, just because there were so many pieces of lore hinting at it. It was a pretty obvious plot twist tho.
@@boneman-calciumenjoyer8290 yes and no. It wasnt completely proved at that point. Anyway a really cool moment would have been if he resurrected Godwyn (unless he will return in the future but i doubt it).
@@SIGNOR-G oh no, we were certainly 99% there. The game just didn't specificly spell it out (like it did now). And yes, a Godwyn fight would've been lit, it shouldn't have been akin to this one tho, imagine him coming back incomplete, because his soul is gone, so you just have the absolutely massive husk of him as a "consort". That would've been so cool and would've shown Miquellas delusion even better.
@@undeadcenturion402 Is it just me or does this game have a lot of sa in it? Miquella sa'ing Mohg and Radahn at the same time, seluvis, Fia's lore implying it, dungeater, and a few more I'm probably missing
Fr, some ppl say that Miquella moghlesting and body snatching Mogh is fine bc he's evil, but he was incarcerated since childhood and was exposed to the Formless Mother's influence in his young and traumatised state, meaning that is all he knows. You cannot enforce morality in the absence of autonomy.
I absolutely love how the script was flipped. The “Mohglester” meme is no more, as people now realize HE was the victim. Meanwhile the sweet and kind Miquella was actually a cold and calculating monster.
I remember how heated the comments would be because when someone brought up the charm ability, others would bring up victim blaming 😅. Now we are firmly reminded that demigods are not helpless damsels
I never once believed Miquella, not for a second. Everyone was so busy stroking his ego, that there must be something wrong here: that he somehow manipulated Mohg
@@KonradCurz3 Nah, she might have been a victim of the greater will and the hornset, but the genocides, world conquest, slavery, baby killing and discrimination were all her own actions and orders.
The guy who founded a death cult of vampire assassins still came out looking better then Golden Boy. Mohg: "Oh, you're a villain alright, just not a super one." Miquella: "Yeah? What's the difference?" Mohg: **GROWS WINGS AND BLEEDING FIRE** "PRESENTATION!"
So in the end, Morgott was right only for all his brothers. (Maybe less in Mogh). Postscript: Miquella took the Soul of Radahn and put it in the dead body of Mogh, in addition to controlling the latter with her power, so in the end, Morgott and Mogh are the VICTIMS of that entire family. As Morgott said: Traitors engulfed in the flames of ambition.
If we think about it, Mogh and Miquella are similar, their plans are the same and their objectives the same, but the difference is that Mogh knows what it is to live in misery and it also affects us and the fact that Radahn did not have the "proud death" he deserved, he was also used like Mogh.
@@axemiprozam6977except mohg served an outer god because he didn't like how the golden order treated him. Miquella wanted to become a god because he wanted to force people to have peace through forced love.
@@miriamemanueleforneris3701 True and by extent we do not know this about any of the Demigods that interacted with Miquella. Or even Marika... but I like to think that Mogh was at least a little devious himself, haha.
@@TheAbysswalker to ne honest, with the way he was treated by the Golden Order alongside his brother, it would be understandable why chose the Formless Mother.
@@Jakov-or7fp despite acknowledging some sides of Mohg before the dlc was announced, especially about his background, and the possibility that he might have craved for the formless mother as a replacement to Marika. I never thought that way, that he might be an angel that blesses his followers. the golden order is just so good at prejudicing condemning everything for the sake of it. Mohg is just the saddest character in the entire story, I might need to look for another favourite character because all of this abuse gets even harder and more unbearable tbh. like out of all demigods he had it the worst, worse than Godwyn.
More like A fallen Angel who had finally come to their senses and starts siding with God once again vs Satan and his demon puppet. Remember Satan was an angel too you know and there's no doubt that he can take the form of an extremely beautiful angel of light just to trick you.
Imagining you tell your twin sister to kill your half brother and you makes another half brother to falling for you so you can use his body for his soul so can make your half brother your husband.
@@brandinicole1372 I'd say that Malenia still holds at least partial responsibility there. she unleashed the rot and didn't even succeed at her actual job of killing Radahn. like if she'd at least succeeded and finished her mission then sure, I could blame Miquella fully as the one that ordered her, but as things are it ended up looking like a fairly pointless desperation move that didn't even properly work. an act of Malenia's incompetence more than Miquella's orders.
Mogh: i could have been the hero! I could have built a dinasty that could embrace everyone! But no! You controlled my mind and body so i could be the Monster that everyone would hate and you could have your puppet of meat! Well sorry to disappoint, but im yours no more! My redemption will start and end with your defeat and the freedom of radhan soul from you !
I really love this!! I can see mogh screaming this while doing the tres, dos, unus spell process, and the end being a ragefull NIHIL!!! Justice for mogh he really deserves the good ending but now is imposible
I wish we saw Mohg before all that went down. Bet he was a chill person. Ansbach is certainly a solid guy and he seems to have loved him. Edit:I guess you can judge a king by his subjects. If Varre is post Miquellested Mohg Then Ansbach is pre Miquellested Mohg. And that is a huge difference.
@@e-money9251 nah but then people from the moghwyn dynasty seem to be doing fine. Maybe formless mother was the real one after all and maybe Mogh truly was just a really chill dude
A reminder that sometimes Mogh is referred to as "Luminary Mogh", even in the base game, which is an interesting contrast to his usual title as "Lord of Blood". If Luminary was his pre-Miquellestation title, then that would mean that he used to be a dude who uplifted others which when considering Ansbach's existence and loyalty, he probably earned that title.
@@joshuakim5240 Did not know that. Now we need another dlc lol. Elden Ring before Miquella caused all that trouble. Honestly Elden Ring has such deep lore that lore wise it would be easy to justify another dlc. Plenty of story to go through.
"I trusted YOU, love YOU, dedicating myself while everyone else thought I just using you as a tool! YET here i was the one the being used. A foul thinking someone would accept ME, make me fall from charm app and false promises. The charm is done, for I MOHG will end you!!!
The reason behind aeonian war is simpe, we thought malenia said "the first one whom died is gayyyy" but actually she said "u gotta be gayy... To be my brother miquella's daddy" Obviously Radhan straight af
@@boneman-calciumenjoyer8290 I find him abit of a tragic figure anyway. He felt to really want to change things for the better but he went too far and failed his dream without noticing. And it happened the moment he got rid of the love in his heart, leaving it behind alongside the Trina.
@@chillax319 somewhat valid interpretation. I myself don't see him that way, he manipulated too many people to have good intentions. "The end justifies the means" never quite sat well with me.
@@spencerfoote6977 I mean, the guy still tortured Albinaurics and turned them into horrific stuff, plus his messed up palace with the lake of blood and giant mutated crows tells me he's not exactly a good guy either
@@florianchabaud8548 in fairness the man was thrown into the sewer when he was a baby because he had horns growing out of his body so him not being a good guy is kinda understandable
This actually does a great job showing that Radahn is actually Mohgs body. They are the exact same size- it’s a shame fromsoft just made it a small Radahn instead of a terrifying Radahn Mohn chimera!
@@elviraweekes3906 And? Tarnished are the descendants of Godfrey trying to either mantain the golden order or create a New one. We and many others killed a lot a people tryng to create a New age. Mogh was doing the same, but he was literarly the underdog the whole time. Abandoned by his family and hated for beeing a Omen, forced to live underground in fear. Tried to create a New age with the formeless mother that embraces outcasts like him. He did not tried to kidnnap him, he was brainwashed, used then killed and then had his body used like a Meatpuppet after his death. He is not even close to beeing a monster. Miquela is walking reference to Griffit, he looks good and kind but that is only the outside.
Let's be fair here, he was still the founder of essentially a Mass Murderer cult, granted Ansbach is our only glimpse in how it was before the Miquella situation and he seems pretty chill compared to Varre but still
And just imagine if Okina joined in the fight? Radhan would die in a matter of seconds. Prime Okina was the only one that came close to freeing Mogh after slashing him with his katana. In that split moment of clarity is when Mogh and Okina became friends. But ofcourse the madness would return and Okina would go on to try to halt the giants demise and burning of the Erd tree so that Miquella can have enough time. God damn Miquel moving like a snake.
