i’m greek, i’ve eaten vasilopita all my life. dimitria i made this yesterday, and my family and i just had it. this is an absolutely delicious batter, great ratio of sweetness and spices and perfect texture! wow. i added walnuts instead of slivered almonds, so awesome🎉 happy new years

Going to be making this for the first time for church. Think pairing this with a liquor like an amaretto, brandy, or spiced rum and adding a little bit of almond paste would be great with the orange and warm spices.

Hi! Can you please share the metric measurements of the ingredients? I made this cake twice and twice it came not so good. The smell and the taste are incredible, no doubts, but I wasn’t pleased with the texture: first undercook after 1:20 in the Owen, second way to much butter
The recipe is good however i found that the whisk supplied with the Kenwood Chef is different than the one shown in the video; your video shows a beater. The beater of my Chef was unable to do justice to mixing; next time I will use the whisk, which is called the K whisk to mix the cake from start to finish.
Thank you for this video! I am gluten free as so many other in our church. So to be safe, I need to use a recipe that is gluten free. Can I use gluten free flour to substitute for all purpose flour? Also, instead of using flour and almond flour, can I use only almond flour? Thank you!

The texture will change completely. King Arthur has a very good gluten free flour mix. That will be much better than the almond flour :) I believe they call it measure-for measure
