[0:34] I’m sure that painting can be attributed to Hieronymus Bosch, a 15th century flemish painter known for his dark ambiences, leading to a not-so-subtle reference to the “Danse Macabre” typology of paintings. Based on the pixels, and the colours’s palette, I assume the painting is the one names “Loss”, in which a man is seen grieving his spouse, while bird-skull headed daemons swirl around the extinguishing body of the young girl (affected by the bubonic plague).

@@ObliviousMe3 they’re referencing the line from one of 096’s stories where the guy describes how a photographer triggered 096 by seeing it in a photograph that he took of a mountain. It took about a year for him to look at the part with 096, and because it was so far away, it only took up “four fucking pixels” on the photo. But that was enough to trigger 096
