Mojave EXB 2nd run - DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU 

Thanks mate. Yeah I’ve learnt my lesson on new RTR. It’s not just Arrma, my mates new Traxxas XRT had a drop of oil in the front and rear diffs out the box. Topped them up before it’s first run. Thanks for the input bud, appreciate it.

Sorry to hear that bro. Yeah Arrma are known for this fault and most people open the diffs up before their first run but we shouldn’t have to. Both companies have their good and bad points it’s just a personal preference. Cheers man. 😎👊🏼👍🏼

Oh man so many people say the same. Such a shame. My Kraton and Infraction have been fine so I took it for granted that my 3rd Arrma would be fine but it wasn’t. Cheers brother. 👊🏼😎

@@WestOzRC pay to check the centre diff too. Probably wouldn't hurt to add some thicker oil. Almost melted my centre diff on my kraton due to low level and thin oil.

@@Warby1 that’s exactly what I’m doing. Once the Vitavon cups come she’ll have 3 new diffs. I might keep the 100k in the center due to the fact that it will have the max affect setting on the plates making it almost a locked diff especially with the 100k.

Nice move man. Yeah did that all in my K6 but I didn’t think to do it with the Mojo EXB especially being an “Extreme Bash” truck 🤣. You’d think they would have made some effort in setting up the diffs hey. 😎🤙🏼

Thanks bro. I ended up buying Vitavon cups but had to custom shim them as they are slightly different to the stock cups. I’ve got videos up on the rebuild and shimming. Thanks for the support brother. 😎👊🏼🤙🏼👍🏼💪🏼

Lol yeah man but the only way to drift is flat out 🤣. It has been absolutely awesome since I shimmed the 3 of them and they are totally different. Arrma diffs are usually ok but most of the time you have to check to see if there is oil inside and even shim them better. 😎🤙🏼👊🏼

Cheers mate it arrived today , I herd you should check for oil every 9 batteries or so but don't know if that's true

Mate congrats. You’re gonna love it but as you saw in my second run video what happened. I would 100% check all 3 diffs as I did not and my rear diff had almost zero oil. Just be careful when opening them as the LSD plates will move and if you need help with how they go back together, this video should help mate. I’ll have an updated diff video up tomorrow about shimming them nice and tightly. 😎🤙🏼

@@gozzyboy1989 mate just take your time, follow the instructions and go buy a bottle of 10k & 100k oil just in case you have to top them up. I also suggest you get yourself a flexible drive like this one I have [AU$27.40 19% OFF]1/4 Inch Hex Shank 105 Degree Right Angle Extension Driver With 300mm Flexible Shaft Tool Accessories from Tools on banggood banggood.onelink.me/zMT7/i12363o4 And get a set of 1.5, 2, 2.5 & 3 Allen key 1/4” sockets. It will make disassembly and reassembly so much easier especially when removing the 2 long screws that hold the bumper to the shock towers. Good luck brother and I hope it all goes well. 😎👍🏼👊🏼💪🏽
