Thanks for taking us along. What a great scenic trip/ride. I've been to MV but need to explore more now. Joy, your 900XR looks like it did ok on the gravel:)
Thanks Roger. Yes, my 900XR does very well on gravel. My salesman told me when I bought it that all it needed for off roads was different tires. I first drove on gravel this summer with the original tires and hated it. I was white knuckled the whole section we rode and the bike was slipping and sliding. I immediately ordered some Michelin Anakee Adventure Tires. They are a 80/20 tire and it was a night and day difference with just that. I LOVE them. These are the exact tires that came on Larry's 1250GS. They did very well on the Shafer Road Trail in Moab which was a very challenging and difficult road.
Great video. We’ll shot, edited, commentary and music soundtrack. We drove down Moki in 2012 in our tour of SW USA, and your video brought it all back. Would love to do it again, but ??. Age 80, living in Edinburgh, but we do have a Motor trike. Entirely with you on the pleasures of motorcycling, though ours is in the Scottish Borders.
Thanks for the compliments John. Glad you enjoyed it and it brought back great memories for you! Wow, we are jealous. We would like to be visiting and exploring Scotland. It's on the bucket list.
@@LivinLifeLoud OK, You'd love riding here. Awe inspiring scenery - in a totally different way to SW USA! If you're looking to hire bikes try Saltire Motorcycles, Gorgie Road Edinburgh, but guess they don't have BMWs Get in touch when you come!
A favorite part of the country to tour a motorcycle. Try the swinging steak when you’re in Mexican Hat. We ride a Spyder RTL. Try the ride from Bryce Canyon on Hwy 12 to Capital Reef …. Great video..
Nice video those places are on my bucket list. I am from Canada.....at 61 degrees it is summer riding... Jacket and a T shirt is all I need. You guys must be from a warmer climate
Just happened along your channel. Loving it, especially during tour of Utah. In this video, you mention need of Four Wheel Drive. Why? Agreed, some trails off the main gravel road need special equipment, but not seeing it where you traveled.
There was a sign stating 4 wheel drive recommended at the start of the road. Mainly for clearance issues. Most of the road was fine but there was a section that could cause problems for low clearance vehicles. Thanks for watching!
Love your channel I just found it yesterday. A big question I'm 66 now retired, and a short guy 5'2", because my height can a 750 do or go to some of the places you've been, drive safe
Hi Ron Ron! The engine size doesn’t really matter. We have seen 250cc’s out there on the trails. What matters is that you feel comfortable on your bike and can handle it well. Ride on!
Hello Margie. It depends on the weather. In this video I am wearing compression shirt from Target made by Champion. I also have UnderAmour which I love as well. I often wear the heavier ones with the fleece lining in their line.
LOL, yes. We actually are cutting back on sugar now so we just use half and half. This is something new so in the Yellowstone video we were using creamer. Thanks for watching.
