We're back! And this week we're trying two dishes from Chengdu that are very popular. Maocai, and BOBO Chicken! Usually, Maocai is spicy, but I accidentally purchased a mushroom/veg version that wasn't spicy at all. My bad! However, the spiciness of the BOBO Chicken more than made up for the mildness of the Maocai.
If you've never heard of BOBO Chicken, it's a cold dish where the meat and veg soaks in a spicy, oily liquid. Delicious and rather HOT (even though it's actually COLD). You know what I mean?
