My husband and I took my mother-n-law, our daughter, our granddaughter, my husband's two Aunt's on his mother's side of the family to Graceland today. It is sad to see them struggle in old age. We love them and they loved Elvis. I was 12 when Elvis died. It was a very sad day for us and America. He was truely loved and respected by many men and women. He was so nice and kind. He was very charitable. He loved our LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. He loved to sing gospel songs. He grew up poor and never forgot what poverty is and how it feels. He did not perceive himself as a king. He often said, there is only one king and that is JESUS CHRIST. We had a wonderful day and made good memories with our family. I am glad you took your Mom. I know she was so thankful to have such a loving son and grandson.

It is always wonderful to see Elvis fans visit for the first time, especially those who have waited a lifetime. There is nothing 'insane' about the tributes fans pay him on the Wall,...it is just another way of reaching out to the King, a beautiful human being we all miss so much. The fans are the ones who keep his memory alive and he will live forever.

I love your Mum and I love Elvis. I am so lucky to have a son, who took me to Graceland last year and is taking me again next year. He took me not only to fulfil my dream to go to Graceland but taking me again to make me happy which is very important . My son enjoyed every moment watching my excitement at Graceland and was happy in my happiness without one word of complaint. Doing cool things are a lot of fun but it is only fulfilling when you have support and love with those who are dear to you. ❤️🕺🏻

The most impressive thing is that you took your mom to Graceland even though she was moving slowly and you helped her enjoy it! I went there in the 80s and I want to go again but I have health issues too. Maybe I can get my son to take me, I will send him this link. Lol 😂 thanks for sharing your trip.😊🙋🏼‍♀️

I’ve never quite understood the obsession America has for Elvis. But after seen some live performances of him on RU-vid, I totally get it.
@brandycarter558
@brandycarter558 4 года назад
It's definitely not only an American obsession, but many throughout the entire world continue to share with the obsession. His unique voice, perfect pitch, magnificent dance skill, great looks and abilities to please all races, genders and colors, whilst bringing his religious beliefs through song, right along side his incredible blues, rock & roll etc. This truly offered "everyone" not only a sense of his talent, but his intelligence as well. Making such an unusual brilliant man very well liked and loved by so many then, and many more even today. His unique and "ageless" style made fans out of both parents and their kids, sharing amazing and positive common interests between them. I never met an individual who genuinely disliked Elvis or who couldn't find at least one song where they found total enjoyable appreciation. He managed to sing a little something for everyone; regardless of who they were or where they were from.

Devoted, protective Elvis fans are fierce and will protect Elvis with a fury!!!!! Many on here have identified this guy as an as****e. He should be ashamed to even want to share this with Elvis fans cuz it is disgraceful!!!! I have noted his page, his name, screens-shotted of his pictures and I will continue to boycott his channel and WILL TELL MANY OTHERS TO DO THE SAME.His personality on here, it is probably most likely like this at home, oh and his partner must be so excited to be his partner!!!! NOT!!!!! AND YOU K. Matt, you certainly don’t know what you are talking about!!!! I do have a right to TELL others if I want, don’t you dare tell me I can’t. Telling!!!!!! On our street we had a died hard Elvis fan, and they day Elvis died...He was a mess, walking all day with a transistor radio listening to the news! We respected his mourning and just sat back and said we are here brother....I love Elvis, and hope to visit Graceland....

My brother and I were 15 when Elvis died. We had our first jobs delivering newspapers. He got promoted to marking up and I got his round. There was no breakfast TV in the UK and we had to be really quiet getting up at 5am - so no radio. We learned that Elvis had died when cutting open the bundles of newspapers. We were all in shock - we just couldn't believe it! Everyone stood in silence and read every front page. Elvis is the King of Rock and always will be. If only everyone had his talent, good looks and work ethic. You did a great thing taking your mum to Graceland. I will get there one day. I am so sorry to hear that Lisa Marie has passed, and my thoughts and prayers are with Priscilla and the family of Lisa Marie. Elvis Presley made this world a better place.

"IF" Elvis had been a democrat and visited Pres Carter.... maybe some interest??? If they could have piled up the effect the Beatles had into one place and/or one person, you would have the same results. Elvis by himself created a following like no other except the Beatles. So, yeah, for those who loved him,..it still isnt enough. Ask your mom. Fantastic gift for your mom....if only your dad would have stopped!!!!

I have loved Elvis since I was like 2, no one I was around liked Elvis including my grandparents so I have no idea how I got around to him at two, I remember singing his songs and on tv when they would announce that it had been a certain amount of years since his death I knew exactly who he was and I would always say I remember that day, even though I was only 2 seeing that. I’m 18 now. Although I wasn’t lucky enough to be alive at the same time as him or see him, I was lucky enough to visit Graceland/ Memphis for a few days this past spring and it’s been my favorite trip ever. Glad you got to take your mom to see Graceland before she passed I’m from Tennessee and was living in central Tennessee the year Elvis died I was 12 years old and I was having a rough year I had lost my father just months earlier in 1976 and lost two more family members as well my Great Aunt and Uncle so when I heard of Elvis’s death I not only felt hurt for myself but my first thought was of Lisa Marie because she just few years younger than me and I just knew the loss she had to felt due to my own terrible grief. I didn’t go to Graceland until 1985 I just felt I couldn’t enter his only place of solace but when I went I felt great joy there and will always cherish my time there It’s been lot of years so I can only imagine all the new additions that the Presley estate had added for the fans but for me I just saw the home and the Lisa Marie Jet that was what was open at the time . It will always be a memory that I will cherish as I’m sure your mother’s memory will be a blessing

I wish I had swung through Memphis on a summer road trip in the early 1990s. Graceland is the secular equivalent of Mecca---somewhere you need to visit at least one time in life. Your mom is going to remember this day like the day you boys were born and her wedding day. It's THAT important and memorable an experience, from what I gather.

I’ve watched a lot of Elvis videos but this one was certainly pretty special. It showed how beautiful Graceland is, how wonderfully they have respected and kept his memory, and how poignant to see your mother get to experience this after 44 yrs, - and you made this happen for her. In doing so you really shared something brilliant with us too. I had no idea Graceland was this kind of experience and wish I could have done this for my parents if I had. Thank you for sharing this with us, who couldn’t do this for our loved ones. It’s a wonderful replacement. Thanks.

Fantastic! Bought back many memories of my visits to Graceland. I first visited in 1972 (then went onto see Elvis live in Vegas) my last visit was 2015. So pleased that you fulfilled your mums wish. Only just discovered your channel, really enjoyed the filming locations for Shane and High Noon - two of my favourite westerns of all time.

What a special day that must have been for your. Mom! I'm so glad that you had the opportunity to make those memories for her. I enjoyed hearing her talk about Elvis. I always loved Elvis's rendition of "You Were Always On My Mind". I remember where I was the day he died. Ironically. I was visiting an Aunt and there was Elvis music playing on her kitchen radio. I don't think you ever forget where you were the day someone significant died. His contribution to the music world can not be overstated. Also, the family plot is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your Graceland trip with me.💕

Very sweet of you to say what you said. I had edited this video because I expressed what you are saying and the Elvis fans sharpened their knives, so I cut out some of what I said. I did it for mom and because I hadn't been to Tennessee since I was a kid in 1975. Sadly, my mom passed away on Oct. 31, 2020, making the timing of a trip even more precious. I did a video to pay tribute to her. It's in my video list.

History Hunter's; You literally did an incredible job with your "Graceland" cover piece. Adding your beautiful mom to the story sincerely made this view a superb work of art. You've definitely created some priceless memories for yourself, son and mother. I thank you and appreciate your sharing your family...you're family is beyond blessed to still have your mom within arm's reach; only but a hug away. BTW; I most positively without doubt, found your visit to Graceland to be the most entertaining of the MANY views I've seen thus far. I literally believe I've (so far) seen them all. Thanks to your visit there and the awesome camera work, I had the pleasure to revisit a few of my own memories of, Graceland. 🎼❤🎄 "Happy Holidays to you and yours."

That was a really Wonderful thing to do for your Mither, Mom. I'm sure she got a warm and fuzzy feeling while there at Graceland and seeing her favorite singer and performer Elvis Aaron Presley. I love Elvis and grew up watching his movies and listening to his music as I had a babysitter back then in 1975-77 and she was a huge fan of his. btw I got to fulfill my Mither's 1st wish to see Neil Diamond live in concert as she had always wanted to see him. So one Christmas (early 90's) he came to San Jose,CA at the Shark tank and it was the Best Christmas gift I could have ever given my Mither. She was excited beyond words. R.I.P Mom ps. My friend Tony's Dad here in Oregon is a 1st or 2nd Cousin to EAP.. His last name ... you guessed it, Presley. How Ironic is that.. Great Work and Awesome video.

I love all of your in-depth historical videos. This one has an extra dimension of sentiment seeing that you made your precious Mom’s dream come true by bringing her to Graceland. I’m a slight fan myself. I’m 2 months and a day younger than Lisa was. We were both 9 years old when he tragically passed away far too early. Although there’s no comparison between her unimaginable grief in losing her Father at such a young age, I’ll never forget where I was on that hot August Tuesday afternoon down south when my Mom shared the news with me. I was too young to truly comprehend the gravity of what it meant. Still, I recollect the sense of deep sadness that overwhelmed me. 4 years later, in August of 1981, I was had an accident and spent much of the next two years in and out of Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston for surgeries and in a hospital bed at home in and out and in again full body casts until I finally recovered at the age of 15. It was an extremely painful and difficult time in my young life being flat on my back unable to move anything except for my arms. My Mom’s best friend was a huge Elvis fan and she had a massive collection of Elvis albums in her collection. She knew that I really liked Elvis so she brought them over to the house, thinking that might encourage me. My parents bought me a small stereo and set it up right next to my bed where I could at least reach over and control it somewhat. Over the next couple of years I would listen to those albums over and over again and I learned just how vast and versatile his talent truly was. His music definitely helped me get through some of the most difficult moments of that painful season of life and I went from being a kid who liked Elvis to a full fledged Elvis fanatic. My parents said I would grow out of it, but I’m now 55 and I’ve still got the Elvis bug. I’ve been to Graceland 36 times now with my most recent trip being last September. I’m grateful that your sweet Mom was finally able to experience it as well. Keep up the great work in your historical work and in being an awesome son. TCB

Jeff, as soon as I completed posting my above comment, the video tribute to your beautiful Mom came up and my heart sank. I watched it, taking in every word, photo and video clip and I was moved to tears at the close. And I agree wholeheartedly in the belief that the lockdowns of 2020, caused so many to lose hope, causing them to spiral far sooner than they likely would have otherwise. Sadly, many who are still with us have never recovered from their sense of despair and hope is but a distant memory for them. Nevertheless, I am so terribly sorry for your tremendous loss. What a beautiful tribute that you made to her. You are a living testament to the amazing values and principles that your parents passed on. Again, I may be 3 years late in seeing this and responding, but irrespective, I’m so sorry and my earnest prayers will go forth for you and your family. May God keep and bless you all. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

My name is Bonnie Foerster and 76 years Young I live in Salt Lake City Utah just videos absolutely fantastic your mom is so lucky that she got the opportunity to go back and see Graceland with you and your son, I have been an Elvis fan since I'm 13 years old and I have never had the opportunity to see him when he was alive and I have never had the opportunity to go back to Graceland there's a few things you need to know about me before I tell you how I feel about this video. I'm legally blind and I had to use a magnifier to watch most most of it and I am a double amputee above the knees but my dream is to go back to Graceland I am also very sick and I don't know how much longer I have on this Earth but this is the one dream I want to come true I want to visit the home of the man that walks so proudly on Earth a home he built the love are his parents family and his friends. He was such a proud man that walked upon this Earth so proudly when I was a kid I fell in love with him first for his looks and then his music and then his acting abilities but as I grew up and he grew up I fell in love with him for them and that he was behind all this he did so much all he was looking for was love he was so lost after his mom left he was so heartbroken after her passing he was so broke from that that I really believe he got lost in this world. God created erasers so nobody should judge anyone I've never heard anything negative about him and I never will stop admiring him for the man he was change the history of rock and roll he invented it he did so much for this world. I hope to go back someday and see what he built out of love he left us a legacy and I do believe it will go on your mom is so lucky that she got that opportunity in her life I'm hoping I get the same opportunity your video was absolutely amazing I felt like I was right there ceiling what she felt and all the emotions please keep your mom and son my love I hope that they had a wonderful time I know that when I go there if that day happens I will not have a dry eye I cried watching this to my phone with a magnifier so I can't imagine what will happen if I ever get to go there in person I will need a case of tissues just seeing what he built just me shivers so thank you my friend this is truly an amazing experience I felt like I was right with you the only thing I won't be able to do the stairs I don't know where I will be as far as my walking ability hopefully I will be able to walk up the stairs but if not somebody can take pictures for me I truly enjoy this video more than I can even put into words I do enjoy what you put out and I watch each and everything but this is one thing you will get 10 stars for❤🎶🤩💋

We had the same story. We drove across country in 1976 when I was six years old but did not stop because he was still living there! I think we might have gone past the gates. (Same thing when we were in TX, we parked at the end of the drive and saw a very old Lady Bird Johnson wandering around in her garden.) Things sure change. What a fun trip. You guys were very good sons!

On this same trip we visited Nashville and the Country Hall of Fame. Very well done and extremely informative. My wife signed us up for a separate tour of RCA's famous Studio B where so many incredible songs were recorded, including many many Elvis songs. It's a surprisingly small room. Our tour guide pointed out many things including a small Baldwin piano heard on many songs. She said it was Elvis' favorite. He recorded many of his songs on Sundays. Many other stars used Studio B to record music. I believe many many famous and popular songs were recorded in that small studio. The studio remains just as it was in it's heyday. The tour guide played many hit songs that were recorded there. It was surreal. Well worth the time and effort.....

Elvis loved his daughter, family and Priscilla like nobody’s business. Keeping Graceland like this shows how much they loved him back. Lisa Marie is older now than he ever got to be. Yes, she has made mistakes like we all do. But Graceland is certainly not one of them and she can forevermore to be proud of that. What they have done here is an achievement for the history books.
