I pray for this mother. I lost a stepson to street violence. Although I took him in and tried to help him be a better man. My son was shot 3 times a few years earlier but survived. I still play that scene over & over in my head because he was always a good kid. Never in any trouble, high school grad, attended college but he was shot in an attempted robbery. I pray for this woman's physical and mental health❤
That’s so sad sorry for your loss. Communities should form armed militias kind of like ben Franklin set up when the French where sending thugs to terrorize them. There’s models in history for fighting back against these monsters but it’s a hard thing to do. You just wish something could protect folks like your kid… these scumbags always take the better ones. I don’t believe it was an accident at all. He probably saw she was going to attend college and want better perhaps meet a better man and deleted her. I was single mom and I started my business and left the hood. You can avoid danger but living in those environments take a toll on you. It’s not good when your children normalize crime and poverty. We’re in the suburbs. I still own real estate in the hood but my kids have been exposed to a nicer quality of living. They don’t want to go back
What family. Women and children without men in the household are not functional families. If this family had a father/husband it would not need god's blessing.
Living in these neighborhood's and around negative people never ends well. Also, why would you allow your 18 year old daughter have her boyfriend live with them in her house. You just don't do things like that, it's very ungodly. Two children dead from gun violence, because of people they should have never been around. We have to Pray to God to help us all raise our children the right way!
This breaks my heart! Nobody should bury their child. I lost my son two years ago. My son past away in his sleep. Losing your child this way is a million times worse.
I'm shocked she let the boyfriend move in because this is NOT our Black Southern Tradition...but she said she did it so her daughter would not be in the boys house so it seems the daughter thought this boy was good and someone worth loving and wanted to be with him even if her mother said no, so it seems she was trying to work with the daughter so she would not be at this boys house and she really wouldn't know what's happening. I CAN SEE HER MOTHER REALLY LOVED HER DAUGHTER AND THOUGHT SHE WAS DOING WHAT WAS BEST AND NEVER KNEW HOW BAD THIS BOY WAS OR SHE WOULDN'T HAVE LET HIM MOVE IN. BUT STILL THIS IS NOT OUR BLACK AMERICAN SOUTHERN TRADITION. VIGINITY UNTIL MARRIAGE WAS TAUGHT AND BOYS WERE TAUGHT THAT THEY COULD NOT DEFILE OR "RUIN" OR PLAY OVER A YOUNG BLACK WOMAN. THE YOUNG BLACK MEN WERE TAUGHT TO COME CORRECT AFTER HIS EDUCATION AND WHEN HE WAS ABLE TO BE MORALLY AND FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE AND HONOR THE YOUNG WOMAN WITH MARRIAGE💯
Its unfortunate for the untimely deaths of both children whose life ended in tragedy. I hope and pray their mother family loved ones and friends are comforted and strengthen during this time of reflection grief grief and pain. No parents should have to experience burying their children...is hard for anyone to comprehend.

She lost those kids because she refuses to leave a neighbor where people who look like her, shoot people who look like them everyday, and it largely gets ignored by everyone.

I read her daughter's obituary .Their father passed away ...This was a loving and caring family ..Everyone cant just pick up and move away ..Its not that simple ....Her mother did a great job of raising her . She was accepted into the Nursing Program at some of the top schools ..That tells you she had a good upbringing and a large family support system ...She was going to get her family out of there one day...I do believe letting the boyfriend move in was a huge mistake .But she thought it would be safer for her being at home instead of out all hours of the night or even staying away for days at a time..We can't judge her..She thought she was protecting her child ...But her son definitely didn't need to be going back to the old neighborhood where they came from..Sometimes people just don't think things like that will happen to them..He was just hanging out and never should have been there at all. God please bless this mom and the rest of their family .Give them peace and protect them from the evilness around them and bless them with the resources to be able to get out.🙏🏽🙏🏽

Poor mom. She seems like such a sweet lady. That boy didn't have to do that to her baby. They accepted him into their home and this is what he does....bastard.
Honey first off my condolences to her and her family. But honestly in my opinion instead of moving that boy into her house she should have first prayed and asked GOD if that’s even the guys who should be in her daughter’s life. My oldest is 16 and I done prayed alway 3 no good boys out of her life. It’s to the point now where she says momma you must be hating off me I said no it’s love ❤️. I said you should be happy that you have a mother who goes into her prayer closet and intercedes for her children. I don’t go say oh LORD remove these ppl out of anger or anything i simply say Father is this person or that person don’t belong in anyone of my children lives then I want YOU to have them removed in JESUS name amen 🙏🏾 and I leave the rest to GOD. Parents, family members, love ones, some one needs to be interceding/praying over your family. Especially when there are generational curses etc.

I felt her pain. I've lost an exceptional child, reaching for the stars and his life cut down mid flight. I know what it feels like, and only Jesus Christ can comfort this level of pain. I'm praying for her. 🙏🕊🌹

We need to STOP the cycle of black children without fathers!! The children are constantly suffering, becoming violent, and have father figure to guide them in life. Until this can get solved, things are not going to get better. My co-worker from a low-income part of Jamaica even told me out of everyone in his high school, only 4 people (including himself and his brother) even knew their father.
