The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season.
Keslynn and Jaiden have two daughters. They are young parents and Jaiden has been in college while working full time to support their family.
Keslynn has recently taken on a third job because their oldest daughter needs hearing aids. Keslynn is partially deaf and Kinsley has recently developed hearing loss as well. They have been working on signing but are also saving every possible penny to purchase hearing aids.
Secret Santa asked if we could find Keslynn and surprise them with a Christmas gift. Check out the video in the player above!

Living in the UK, I find it so sad that people struggle to get things like hearing aids. In this country, they would be provided free of charge. This makes me appreciate our health system so much more.

Best kind of crazy to be! 😁👍 _(trust me on that, there's psych ward paperwork in my past)_ Nate shows that he does have a heart for this and a heart for people. I'm guessing the entire EIN team does and that's why they are partnering with that, those, Secret Santa. May they all be blessed, givers, messengers, recipients. 🙏

Hearing aids are ridiculously expensive. My wife has needed them since she was 4 or 5 years old. The ones she needs with her type of hearing loss start at $7k. My insurance pays some, but they still cost $4-5k out of pocket. Her Medicare pays nothing for them. This is an incredible gift for this family.

Hearing aids and glasses should be covered by health insurance in the United States. It’s a disgrace that something that is an absolutely necessity is not covered by health insurance. Thank you to the secret Santa for doing all this for humanity.

This is near and dear to my ❤️! I got my first hearing aid at 18 months old. My hearing loss was progressive. In 2017 and 2018 at 50/51 yo I got cochlear implants and it’s a game changer!

I can hardly watch these secret Santa’s without crying. I have found myself in impossible situations with a husband and child with life threatening health problems and I have lupus. The costs are staggering and to work when your family needs you at home. Ugh! When I didn’t think I could go on-I would find $300 in my mail box. Or a large gift certificate for groceries. I don’t know what kind souls did this. But it saved us on multiple levels. The emotional and spiritual healing that takes place when someone touches you with kindness and blesses you-- lasts a lifetime.

Im in the UK, I have two hearing aids....I paid nothing through the NHS. This is an extraordinary gift, to be able to hear.....it's so sad that profit for major companies is put before peoples health needs. What a deserving family! My daughter has worn hearing aids since birth. They are insanely expensive but make a world of difference. Note: You need to see a licensed audiologist for a hearing test and hearing aid fitting. Retail stores do not employ licensed audiologists.

This will help one of their children so much! I am profoundly deaf and know the financial and emotional cost. Now have a cochlear implant in one ear and a fancy powerful aid in the other. Soon I hope to cochlearize my other ear. Hearing is critical for so much in life, school, work, hone life, the ability to make friends (can’t hear and communication stops) - including balance as it is where vestibular balance coordinates with the brain. Want to walk and not fall? Get hearing. . I hope the daughter is helped soon.

secret santa your an angel. hearing aids aren't cheap, and this is so important to them, and I'm so glad to see yall r learning to sign. one of my family members went deaf , and told me he didn't take it seriously, and woke up one day deaf. he only knew 5 signs, and he told me, because Im slowly going deaf myself, don't wait til last minute and don't have hearing. he went to deaf socials, silent studies, deaf theater, bought movies. i commend yall and your a good mom. I come from a family with many of us suffering hearing loss and having hearing aids. My mother has a cochlear implant. This is a wonderful gift for this family as it can be very expensive buying and maintaining hearing aids. Thank you Secret Santa. 🎅🏻
