Roll cage would make the car no-longer street legal. Also, many states have laws against harnesses. I got my insurance revoked after being pulled over because I had racing seats. GEICO said race cars don't belong on the road, even tho I was only making about 250hp.
I want to to do this so bad in my GSX lol it's "only" 550hp so the effect might not be as terrifying for her but I think it's more than enough to scare a mama. She was scared of my stock GST years back haha And to those ripping on him because it's a civic... Either way they respect that power to weight ratio whether they like it or not ... prob a boosted k series.... when built rite hondas hold their weight in the racing game ... never know what to expect ... its like having a racing engine in a go cart
those FUCKING shifts though, so much respect... A true racer, those were butter smooth.. I've just recently got my new civic and still getting used to the clutch!!!
Wide open , no traffic shifts are a cake walk. More difficult in bumper traffic in actually populated areas. I'd only buy a manual car if it was brand new because of people red lining it in every gear. Automatics will shift smooth every time and yiu can still manually shift as well.

Chad Newcomer You will never spin 3rd in any stock Accord from the speed he was already going. You wouldn't even spin 3rd in any stock reasonable RWD car either from the speed he was going. A RWD car would spin with less power, but you'd still have to be pushing more than 400.

HelpMezz94 That's not Vtech.. that's the Turbo hit.. Vtech gives you a 10 ft/lbs of TQ bump. The Turbo here is probably giving him a 200 ft/ pounds or more @ full spool . You don't need Vtech when ya have a turbo lol.
I dig his car. I've ridden in a car with similar horsepower. It's unreal! I drive an import myself. I still like the sound of a V8 better, or a turbo V8 for that matter, but props to this guy. It's cool to see his moms reaction . Good Vid!

Yes, it is actually a sound investment. It's a HOBBY, people spend money on their HOBBY, it brings many many hours of fun to their lives. Everyone has something they like to do, and this is what he likes to do, just like going to a theme park, it's adrenaline. He just likes to get his adrenaline from a car that he personally built, also i'm sure he has raced this Civic some, which gives him bragging rights, or even winning cash, also this YT video will earn heaps. :)
boxy pandora Roll bar / 4 point cage yes, if he put a full cage in the car and he crashes he will hit his head off a roll bar and kill himself. Roll cages require helmets, roll bars don't. Unless he tracks his car there isn't a real need for a cage.

I'm not a fan of hopped up Civics, but this video is really funny. The kid and his mom seem to have a great relationship and her reaction is priceless. If a Civic is what this kid loves to drive, I'm sure not going to pick on him for it.
Yea it will differ mainly on what engine your starting out with. Some engines can make 400 on stock motor with a turbo and be very reliable, and some will have to be build. Just depends on where your starting point is
I agree I am not really a fan of Honda just my personal preference, but you have to respect this car and what he has done to it because that car is fucking nuts!
and what also is amazing about a k20a, is that you can just slap on a turbo with everything stock. just dont set it to high psi level or you'll blow your engine.
a k20a stock can cost you around 6k to 9k, and if you add bolt-ons thats another id say 1k or less depends on what you get, and then your turbo system not really sure about that that but ive seen some online that are pretty good for 2 to 3k with everything included ready for installation. so id say for everything plus a tune 15k or less, and if your lucky you can get a good 400hp civic for 10k. A stock k20a already comes with around 220 to 230 hp so its the best recommended engine and reliable.
