Many thanks for being a fan! I am sorry, that I had no time to create a new tutorial for such a long time. As a designer, I have to work for my clients to make my living - and I had so much work to do during the last months, that I simply did not have enough time to create a tutorial. The creation of a new pop-up design that is suitable for a tutorial and the filming and editing usually keeps me busy for about two weeks. I ask for your understanding, that I am no "full time RU-vidr", so I need to have some hoildays befoe I am able to create a new tutorial. No, I am not using any software for the design process. I always develop my first models by hand - in the same way, like I did it more than 30 years ago - without using a computer. When I am happy with my hand made model, I divide it into its individual parts. I scan each element with a scanner. Only now my computer is used. I draw the outlines of the pop up elements according to the scans with a vector graphics software (Adobe Illustrator). Now I optimize the vector data on my computer. Dear Rajveer Singh, I designed the pop-up cards in this video exclusively for the MoMA Design store. Only they have the rights to produce these cards. I am not allowed to share the plans or to create tutorials for these design. Furthermore, it would not make sense, to sell a design to a client and then share the plans online. @@RajveerSingh-vf7pr Well, in general the answer ist yes. Designing pop-up cards is my profession. I am doing this to earn a living. Usually I create my designs for larger companies (such as the Museum of Modern Art store in the USA), because the effort of creating a new pop-up card is really high - so the price for my services is relatively high as well. I am working at least 2 weeks on a new original pop-up card design. For personal use it is usually too costly to order my services. Please visit my website - there you can see many projects that I did for clients. This might help you to understand what kind of projects actually where produced. None of these projects where made for private/personal use. It usually only makes sense to hire me, if you want to produce a large number of copies (several thousand cards) or if your budget is high, e.g. if you are promoting luxury goods. If you are just want to produce some hundred cards, it usually makes no sense to hire me. I hope that I could help you with this information.
