Hi, the link to the Kickstarter page is not working to click from here/youtube (showing a 404) but I did a search there and did find your upcoming project- (at the exact same URL :)) so who knows?- maybe kickstarter just makes it accessible on your launch date or something. Anyways- Congrats! Just discovered you, and love 💛 your beautiful, intricate, amazing work. Thank you🙏, also for your tutorials which I'm going to go check out next : )
Lots of congratulations Peter. I am so excited for this book. The pop up art that you do is extremely inspiring to the children I teach in Uganda. Can't wait to get my hands on this book!🤗
Thank you very much for your kind words, dear Alison! Yes, I am excited too. Thank you for showing my pop up sculptures to your students in school. I really appreciate it. Best wishes from Germany to Uganda! 🫶
If you order it through the upcoming campaign on Kickstarter, starting on 3rd September 2024 (www.kickstarter.com/projects/poposition/peter-dahmens-pop-up-sculptures), the books will be shipped worldwide (which includes China). When the kickstarter campaign is over, the books will be available through the publisher Poposition Press, who also ships worldwide. But I don't think that the books will be available in book shops in China. I hope that I could help you with my answer!
ALL BOOKS should be popup books, especially school & university text books - imagine how much fun & interactive learning could be. Good luck with your project.
Thank you very much for your kind words - and your good wishes! 🫶 🙏 Yes, I totally agree. At least for educational purposes, pop-up books could be of great help! However, it would be somewhat cumbersome for some types of books, for example legal texts or medical reference works ... 😄

Dear Gabriellopez592, I am happy that you like my design. Unfortunately, this is a misunderstanding. I created this box design exclusively for my client. My client decided not to create additional boxes - so this is just a single, piece that was used for advertising. Since my client has purchased the exclusive rights of use, I am not allowed to create additional boxes (even though I am the designer). I am very sorry, but this box will have to remain a single, unique piece.
@Peter.Dahmen.Papierdesign oh that's nice. So how should we make a request like that and how much would you charge for something like this but a different design.
Dear @govi6921, Developing a similar design (but with enough differences to avoid any rights violations) and creating one or more boxes would certainly cost a low to mid four-figure amount in euros. The exact price depends on the complexity of the design and the number of boxes produced. I ask for your understanding that I don't conduct business in the comments here on RU-vid. To provide you with a quote, please send me an email. You can find my email address in the info section on my channel page: www.youtube.com/@Peter.Dahmen.Papierdesign Please remember to include your complete contact details, including your address, as I cannot create a valid offer without them. Thanks! All the best, Peter
Thank you for your great interest in my work. I created this pop-up sculpture from scratch in the year 1989, while I was studying communications design. (I recorded the video 20 years later and published it in early 2010). I did not use a template, but invented the pop-up sculpture entirely on my own. I made it all by hand, using analogue tools (e.g. a penil, a ruler, a cutting knife, a pair of scissors etc…). At that time, I did not even have a computer. It doesn't have a title. I didn't give it a name. I don't think, that this kind of pop-up structure has an official name.
Thank you, Christine! Did you notice that I also created a free template for this model? You can find it on my website: peterdahmen.de/en/2010/07/29/magic-floating-cube/ if you are in general interested in tutorials, please visit my page with free tutorials: peterdahmen.de/en/category/tutorials/ and also this: peterdahmen.de/en/2018/04/03/useful-tips-and-links/
Please read the text box below the video. There you will find detailed information about this project. Please note, that I created this design exclusively for my client, so I can't share any templates for this pop-up sculpture. If you are in general looking for free tutorials for pop-up cards, please visit my website. There you will find many links which lead to hundreds of free templates: peterdahmen.de/en/category/tutorials/ and peterdahmen.de/en/2018/04/03/useful-tips-and-links/
Dear Nazmul Hossain, I used uncoated paper from teh brand "Fedrigoni Splendorgel Extra White" in a weight of 230 g/m² for most of the pop-up sculptures in this video. For the backing sheets, I used strong cardboard (grey board). However, if you want to create similar pop-ups, you may use any other sort of sturdy paper/thin cardboard. There are even BETTER qualities available than the paper that I used. It also depends on the size of the objects, which paper is best suitable. If you are looking for more free tips (including links to free tutorials), please visit my webiste: peterdahmen.de/en/2018/04/03/useful-tips-and-links/ There you will find more information. All the best, Peter
