It sucks that the Steelers squandered the second half of his career. 2011-2022 was filled with so much misery and heartbreak. I felt Ben could've won at least one if not two more Super Bowls. He had his share of bad playoff games during that stretch but some those games were still winnable but playcalling and other Steeler players/stars coming up short contributed to those playoff losses.
@@porksoda1062 it wasn’t the Steelers fault. Their super bowl run in 2016 was kind ruined when Ryan Shazier got injured. Most of the potential runs they could’ve had were ruined by Tom Brady
This man got us the one for the thumb, the reason for SIXBURGH. I'VE BEEN watching the Steelers since the 70s. Gonna miss you big guy, thank you for all the great memories.
I was 5 years old when Ben was drafted he is the entire reason I became and love the Pittsburgh Steelers with all of my 23 year old heart still today ill never ever forget what he gave to our team and I will genuinely cry when Big Ben gets his gold jacket in Canton Ohio 🖤💛
I watched him in college and knew he was gonna be a great pro qb. Thank you God for Big Ben being A TRUE STEELER, through n through. This man was the epitome of what a Pittsburgh Steeler plays like!!!! Thank you Big Ben!!!
I think one of a very long list of things I love about Ben's play. Was his competitive nature. He just wouldn't give up. You could make a few hour long vid on just how many clutch last minute drives that won the game he's done in 18 years. And he's played with, let's see. Broken: fingers, and thumb, Foot, ribs jaw, nose, and quite a FEW other injuries. and kept on ticking.
First ballot HOFer all day long and a top ten quarterback all time! Was at the final home game and Heinz Field was absolutely electric like I've never seen! Thank You Ben! It was a privilege and honor to enjoy his entire career!
As a crazed Steelers fan, I'm just glad he won this one. This was the game that mattered the most this year. The Steelers weren't winning the Super Bowl. This was it. Perfect ending.
He is going to be gold again but this time it’s a gold jacket in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He has done a lot for the Steelers and I mean a lot and the fans of Pittsburgh have a lot to be thankful for he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame and it’s so well deserved!!
It was so fitting for him to have his final game at Hinez field to be against the Browns. Because the Browns have made so many bad business decisions their worse was to pass on Ben in the Draft but that ended up allowing the Steelers to get 18 years of greatness so God works in mysterious ways. When you look back at the draft Ben had a black suit with a gold tie. Was meant to be.
5 Guys that make that throw Big Ben 1st time ballot HOFer. I'm gonna Miss watching him on Sundays. When you talk about Erin Rodgers Tom Brady Peyton Manning Big Ben should be in the Conversation.
I never missed a game with BEN best QB ever There will never be another BEN I miss you so much!!! but you deserve your retirement enjoy your wife and kids and fur babies :)
right back at you i never missed a game either i even have a door knocker that says do not disturb by knocking or by phone Ben is on the field had it made special
First introduced to Big Ben in the final game of his freshman year when Miami, Ohio played Hawaii. The plays that he made/extended & the tackles that he managed to shake off! Told my friends, and myself..."This guy's going to the NFL!" FFWD, was almost doing backflips when I found out that he was taken by Pittsburgh!...Mahalo for the memories, Ben....Mucho Mahalo! Good luck in your future....#7/HOF
THE NFL TOTALLY OVERLOOKED BIG BEN HE IS THE GREATEST QB STEELERS EVER HAD WHEN HE WON GAMES HE WON THEM HONESTLY WHEN HE LOST HE LOST HONESTLY PROUD TO CALL HIM MY QB HAPPY RETIREMENT BEN AND CONGRATS FROM THE FIELD TO YOUR CHRISTIAN FAITH AND NOT BEING ASHAMES TO SHOW IT GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS
Ravens would play dirty with Suggs and Ra Lewis, and Ed Reed was always pn the back end... but Ben would always seemingly make a clutch play in the 4th Q and win the game.
BEYOND best Steelers QB of all time, hes the epitome and archtype of what Steelers Nation wanted and needed , Steelers Nation would take Big Ben over Peyton, and Brady forget that precision passer crap,WE NEED A BAD ASS ,DIE HARD ,TOUGH ,S.O.B.
To hear Ryan sit there and say how it was Ben who won the game for the Steelers and yet the NFL took another stab at Ben by not giving him the MVP of the superbowl. I'm sorry but it should have been Ben. Ben is one of the greatest QBs in history and yet he had been unappreciated in the NFL. I know God had Ben and I know he has a great life especially with him having a great family but it is sad to see how bad the NFL regards him.
Yes Ben deserves 2 go into HOF 1st ballot but I just worry the NFL might make him wait. All I know is I do not want Ben 2 go in the class as Brady because the year Brady goes in everyone else going in that year will be like in the background or shadows because it will all about Brady. I do not want that 4 Ben that would b like the final dagger the NFL can throw at Ben. I agree with u I would take Ben over Brady everyday of the week 2.
Had he not missed all of 2019 and Gave it 1 more year to match mannings year total, he would have finished 3rd all time. Shows how hard it is to play long in this league
Four Super Bowls to two Super Bowls Terry Bradshaw still the greatest. Ben Roethlisberger was still amazing to watch. In my lifetime I got to see two of the greatest quarterbacks here in Pittsburgh. Can’t ask for more
“The nfl took Ben Roethlisberger for granted.” No truer words have been spoken. I get the off the field stuff people harp on, but strictly on the field he was one of one. It’s criminal how he never got the credit he earned and deserved, always underrated and counted out, but when rubber met Road he found a way to win. I’ve said for years that he redefined what an NFL quarterback is. Before him you had either pocket passers like Brady or scramblers like Vick very few in between and none of his size and ability. Now you look at the last 10-15 drafts since what are scouts generally looking for in quarterbacks? Size, big arm mobility, and can extend plays when they break down. See Cam Newton in his prime, Josh Allen is basically Ben Roethlisberger if he could run a 4.4 instead of a 4.7. Big ups for Big Ben, pumped for KP8 in year 2. HereWeGo
