4 mondstadt characters are the reason i'm looking forwards to unreleased areas. no other characters in different regions made me anticipate the future in the same way
I highly expect Mihoyo are gonna make use of the age-old trope of having the starting area become the final battleground - after whatever happens in Shneznaya, we return home and then shit really hits the fan...
It's the most suspicious place and the one with a lot of lore spreading outwards Venti's connection with some Time god Kaeya and Khaenriah Diluc and his adventures and what that did Klee's Mom Alice Albedo and Gold Mona and her master Lisa and her views on the visions Amber and her grandfather Razor and Varka A lot of them have hidden lore that spreads out unlike the other places
Everything about Mondstadt has a lurking "we will meet again" feeling since every other region seems concluded after the main quest end, but Mondstadt has those endgame vibes all around many characters
Another interesting thing about Kaeya that is actually in Mona's voicelines, she says: "Kaeya Alberich? He's a Pavo Ocellus. Destined for greatness and grandeur... and to hide ugly realities behind a layer of charm and elegance. He believes he has made a clean break with his past, but one day fate will catch up with him. When it does, he will have a major decision to make." People often say that they don't know which side Kaeya is on, Khaenri'ah or Mondstat, but Mona says, "He believes he has made a clean break with his past", so that indicates that he has already decided to refuse whatever mission his father gave him and has chosen to live peacefully in Mondstat. But Mona also says, "but one day fate will catch up with him. When it does, he will have a major decision to make." it shows that eventually he will have a confrontation with Khaenri'ah/the Abyss, likely involving said party to do something to Mondstat for the salvation of Khaenri'ah. And it will be for Kaeya to decide if he will try to stop them, or let it happen. I do not know if Kaeya will choose Mondstat or Khaenri'ah when that time comes, just because he chose Mondstat doesn't necessarily mean he will not change his mind, but I feel like he will choose Mondstat because he has already chosen them, making the probability he will chose Mondstat higher, his relationship with Diluc will give him more incentive to not betray Mondstat, and the mere fact that he's playable
Another possible fact about Kaeya and Lisa: - Kaeya's work does not line up with the duties and responsibilities of a Cavarly Captain, and rather matches up with a Spymaster. - Thus it is Theorized that Cavarly Captain is a Title to hide his actual activities from the general public and the Snezhnayan diplomats all over the city. - Given the point above, Lisa's title as "Librarian of the Nights of Favonius" and "Witch of Purple Roses" also come into question, especially after taking into account that in Mondstadean culture, roses symbolise important secrets that shouldn't be revealed to anyone, and that Lisa's Design has Roses all over it. - Thus She might actually be the Secretary of the Knights of Favonius, not in the boring modern sense of the word of course, but the original cooler "Keeper of Confidential Secrets" sense. - Also: 1) With what we found out about Irminsul rewriting History, but over looking texts that are more fictional in nature. 2) What we learn about how Lisa goes around doing her Job. 3) That Lisa holds a number of books that the Abyss Order is after in her Library. Lisa might be secretly collecting Fictional books which she suspects contain hidden truths about the actual History of the Continent. - Lastly, since the Colour purple is associated with the lightning of Inazuma, whose Ideal is Eternity, Lisa's witchcraft title changes from: "Witch of Purple Roses" to *Witch of Eternal Secrets*
Something interesting that light be just translation hijinks is Diona during the TCG tutorial refers to Kaeya as Guard Captain rather than Cavalry Catain.
1. Diluc was cavalry captain in Knights 2. Previously Kaeya was quartermaster... and already acted as spymaster. Essentially his current position is to signify him being second in command after Jean, him being spymaster is not noted by official position - as it should be with spymaster. PS. And no, Diluc learned to lurk and spy only after leaving Order.
Regarding Lisa: You gotta wonder who are the authors and writers of those books in the first place to have them sought after those pesky customers from the Abyss down under! Addendum: Her proper witch title, is quite sick for a mellow character that she is!
I love the backstory for Venti forging Morax's signature in the slave contract. It does so many things in one story. It shows just how corrupt the old noble families were. It shows just how important the idea of freedom might be to Monstadt considering their history. It also shows that although Venti believes in freedom, he's willing to manipulate the people towards freedom
Another secret about Lisa: she seems to be aware of the Aranara and have tried to build a device that can view them. Remember Venti's story quest that began with a special device that lets you see people's childhood imaginary friends that adults generally dont have anymore? It was made by Lisa, and she traveled back to Sumeru to get the materials she needs. And even crazier: there are devices called seed mirrors at various places in the Sumeru rainforest that allow you to detect mischievous Aranara in hiding. How do you operate it? Apply Electro.
It's crazy how Lisa and Venti story quest is still relevent and more to reveal after this like: Lisa: Abyss Mage steal gory fairytale book (it hinted to be erased knowledge as of 3.4 Scara story), Mondstadt library or forbidden section is very sus. I don't even be supprise if it contain some sort of abyssal secret or propercy. The fairytale in the library suspected to be true event/ propercy (ex: fox of Dandelion sea is a time loop/ time travel) Venti: The concept of dream, time, soul show that Anemo connect all of it. It's weird that Hans being acting as Stanley for so long, no one know his true name but Barbatos know him and call out/ imitiate real Stanley to free Hans. Also, Mare Jivari still a mystery
Eula's vengeance is literally "I will remember this", as in "I will remember your kindness and I will pay you back". She acknowledges that her family line has brought harm to Mondstadt so she herself embodies all the sins of her bloodline and convert them all into kindness. She doesn't care if others see her as a sinner or a weird person, as long as she protects and brings positivity to the people, that's all that matters, she will erase the stigma of her bloodline by ending all the sins that associates with her family.
@@chickensky1121 To put someone behind bars you need evidence, which if you played her story you know that that's what she did. She has been investigating her own family and catching them with her own hands, not everyone has the resolve to exact justice on their own family members.
I just started using the german word in place on vengeance/revenge "revangieren", which can have a positive and negative connotation. It can mean revenge but also to show appreciation. It basically means to repay a good or bad action done to you.
In Germany the rose was used as a sybole of silence and secrecy during the medieval times. A picture of a rose could be found for example near the confessional. I visited Eltz castle a few months ago and there was this one conference room. The first thing you saw was a jester mask, a symbol to speek freely in this room and on the only exit door was a carving of a Rose, a reminder that nothing should be repeated outside of the room. That little detail about Noelle was realy cool.
Interestingly, the rose thing has origins in our world as well. the term "Subrosa" means to keep things secret, and literally translates to "under the Rose".
That’s correct - this idea came from the romans who would hang roses from the ceiling in dining rooms where conversations must remain in absolute confidence and the events should be kept strictly to themselves.
For any theory relating to Venti, u need a video 30mins and contain every knowledge about everything For any theory outside Mond, we just remember the rule of lore “i feel ehe somewhere”
Sucrose is the most mysterious and sus to me. She doesn't show up often (fix that Mihoyo) but when she does a little more about her... interests are revealed. She definitely feels like the type of scientist to do whatever it takes for her experiments. I do hope for a hangout story with her soon.
@@Silverouss now that you've mentioned him, I can't help but think of Sucrose and Dottore as the opposite sides of the same: "anything for the research" coin.
Venti doesn't fake his stories, remember that nahida said histories and memories that are hidden well in songs or poems can't get erased by irminsul, and that's what venti's doing, he's preserving them. Well that's my theory anyway
Character story of venti actively says he does. Some of his stories of Barbatos are simply fabrications he made when intoxicated. "Only Venti knows the truth behind his song lyrics, and it is a truth he hides behind an enigmatic smile. Reason being, yes - Venti's tall tales of Barbatos's unorthodox exploits are entirely fabricated. Hey, Venti finds that a few drinks really gets his muse going. Can you really blame him?"
Whenever I encounter secrets in a Hoyoverse game I think back to Elysia in Honkai. Long story short a lot of players thought she was really suspicious. We were suspicious for nothing, it actually made some of us feel bad cause she was one the nicest and most forward characters, and people just distrusted her for no reason. Her little secret could hardly be called a secret, she was actually that forward with it.
Elysia is the embodiment of being so nice and perfect it's literally unbelievable and yet she exists, is relatable and we can only bask in her brilliance and thank her for it. She is the greatest goddess character ever written.
Wasn't it actually revealed that the reason why elysia was sus was because she wasn't even elysia but the Herscherr of corruption deleting Elysia's data and replacing her?
Barbara is like Elizabeth from Kuroshitsuji with that sword thing. Will we get an epic moment of Barbara slaying enemies like Elizabeth did? Would be epic
@@секутордекаданса Don't tell people to touch grass. Using that joke seriously is pretty annoying ngl. Also, this is the only comment I replied to mentioning Barbara, but I can go reply to more if you wish.
another fact about kaeya is how he enjoys putting other people in difficult situations ( activating a ruin guard to cut his opponent off which put all of them in danger ) maybe as unintentional way on releasing his frustration on his kaenriah-mondstadt dilemma
What I find interesting was that Mona and Ningguang were actually the first hint to us towards what happens to Visions when their masters die or give them up. Since Mona's was an old Vision and Ningguang's was explicitly stated to have been put on the market after some old lady died, (Ning wasn't exactly happy about it relighting either) Kazuha really just reinforced a point that had already been made in the game when he told us that tidbit.
rubedo - the reddening - is the last step of the magnum opus giving your creation blood, so it can start to live. citrinitas - goldening - is giving your creation morals and ethics. if rubedo comes first, then the creation might come to life without being an ethical being, which might be leading to destruction ("if one day, i destroy mondstadt ..."). so the incorrect order of the creation of life might be a fatal mistake by gold (funny how her name is gold and the "goldening" stage cames too late)
@@queenoforeos3057 nigredo is blackening, the original substance. Albedo is whitening, the purification of said substance into something that can be transmuted into something else. At least, that's what I've been able to gather anyway
Happy 2023!!! One of the biggest pieces of Mondstadt lore that intrigue me is the artifact lore. Being overly convoluted as it is, they definitely drive a lot of people away but the essay-long 5 star artifacts arent the prime focus here. The ones I’m focusing on are the lesser known 3 star and 4 star artifacts, which, surprise surprise, can be primary found only in Mondstadt and Liyue. Sets like Exile, Traveling Doctor, and Resolution of Sojourner have or will hint towards Mondstadt characters, based on existing theories on artifact lore! And don’t even get me started on the 3/4 star tiaras… even if they don’t directly correspond with Mondstadt or Liyue, they show hints towards Khenriah and Celestia. That alone should explain well enough how important these tiaras could be.
Bennets title is trial by fire but in stories, all trials start for a grand reason i always wonder what the reason for his trial is and if will it ever be revealed
2 interesting things I wish to mention is about Fischl and Klee. Amy’s Cosplay of Prinzessin Fischl might have 2 inaccuracies about it, in the cover of the book “Flowers for Princess Fischl” you can see that the character Fischl has white hair, and that you are unable to see the color of her free eye. Amy would’ve been unable to dye her hair and make a cosplay eye contact even if she knew Fischl’s Eye color. (Read the book “Legend of the Shattered Halberd” to learn something even more interesting) Now as for Klee, she is the complete epitome of “Happy Go Lucky” (while as for Itto, who is the epitome for Dumb Strong)
List of Mysterious or sussy Character in every region throughout lore: Mondstad: Albedo Kaeya Venti Varka Alice Lisa Liyue: Baizhu Inazuma: Maybe kokomi, with her dragon constellation theory and dark sea relation? (Can't find any mysterious side of inazuma character, since all of them seems just live their life without any hiden agenda.) Sumeru: Dottore Scarlet king? I wonder why Mondstad chara has the most unfinished story and mystery around them while other region just mind their own business. Ei and Nahida is not in the list since theirs story already done, and we know almost their back story. Zhongli story almost done too (The only mysterious things about him is his contract with tsaritsa and celestia)
You could have also talked about Razor's crude wooden box where he keeps items given by friends. We don't really know who gave which item, so it's fun to theorize :D great video!
are sucrose ears a consequence of one of her experiments or she is a desecndant to the kitsune tribe from the dandelion sea? like, some kitsune left dandelion sea and went to inazuma while a few stayed
I believe she’s actually a Kitsune since she tests her dna with Diona’s to see if they’re related. If they were from an experiment then she wouldn’t wonder where her ears are from.
That actually is something covered in her character stories! she and her parents have mixed ancestry of humans like Lisa etc, and some other species like gorou, tighnari, etc. But she and her parents don't know what said other species is one of her topics of research is trying to figure out what her ancestor was. Some of the player base has theorized that species might be whatever tighnari is, because he mentions his fur is actually a much darker green then is standard for his kind.
The only thing we know about her bloodline is that her ears are hereditary, so either one of her parents has beastfolk blood or it was a lost gene that made it's way back to Sucrose. And the possible kitsunes that traveled and stayed in Mondstadt, but other than that, her animal like heritage is still unknown.
People definitely over look the character stories. People on tiktok were arguing because they swore up and down that it isn’t confirmed that kaeya is from khaenri’ah
For me it's usually more that it was so long ago I read the character stories that I don't remember details like that. Especially for the early characters. But if the question comes up I do tend to at least briefly look through their stories before I make any specific claims.
A cute little tip bit I don’t think anyone has noticed, her in friendship info or ascending info (I forget which one) it states she is sucker for romance and she love to look out to window at windrise and dream and somebody being that relationship. But a lot of people don’t know that her favorite book is Vera Melancholy a romance book. AND there is a copy of it on Dilucs desk (you probably won’t see it if u haven’t already picked it up) which may be a tip but towards them have the same longing
Additional fun fact, Mona have decent salary, but she spends too much mora to purchase everything related to astrology that she ends up running out of budget for necessary stuff like food. GAA event revealed that. Also, Fischl's real name isn't really hidden. Even the trailer gave hint when her dad called her in real name which in turn she responds to it.
Well the problem with Fischl is that despite being an early character she doesnt have a hangout, story quest, or featured at all in an archon quest. New players will never see her having missed the limited events. Also her trailer is in mandarin, so might be easy to miss that for english players.
I like this, I hope we get videos like this for the other nations as well. personally, I do read all the character stories and voice lines I unlock, but that's just for the ones I unlock, so learning details about characters I haven't gotten high friendship on is great. and even for the ones I do know, it's just entertaining to hear in this format.
I'm pretty sure there's an archive of all the character stories in genshin somewhere. I know the hoyolab app does, and I believe you can find them on the genshin wiki too.
@@yourlocaltraumademon I know, but that's a lot to read through at once. reading one character story at a time as you unlock them is much more digestible.
One source says she helped Collei [Sumeru], I'd like that story.. And if there were any other "outriders" in the Knights, having only one is a hardship.
I like to think during the Archon quest most of the gods trying to grab power saw that Mondstadt had Venti, Andrius, and Dvalin there, so it would be best to steer clear.
Btw Fischl always do an investigation in a wrong way but ended up with right answer, in conclusion its she like invented her own math calculation and got the answer right this is during event in Mona, Fischl and Scaramouch first appearance
If barbara is a sword user she will be the first medium female sword user of mondstadt. For now we didn't have any mondstadter medium female sword user mondstadt:? (barbara if she learn to use sword) liyue: keqing inazuma: ayaka sumeru: nilou
@@randomguyblank1616 "We will gather resources for my research" "Oh you mean flow-" "Bones" "Eh?" "Particularly those under the effects of elements" "What" "I need you to burn the hilichurls to ashes"
happy new year! I feel like we need to learn more about Sucrose! She is one of the most secret and sus characters in the whole game in my opinion. We dont know much about her, but the things that we know are quite scary i'd say. She stalked Diona, she experiments on hillichurls and even has the same attack patterns then the anemo cube! Her goal is it to create a world for her friends. I really think she will be important later on! It feels like she knows something of Khaenriah but just doesnt wanna tell us. Hopefully we get to see her more often!!!!
I'm so slow on characters that I only noticed she had yae miko like ears recently(previously thought it was just hair bobbing when she runs). A huge part of why she stalks diona because she thinks their species are related.
@@EB_3693 I think she concluded that she was unrelated to Diona. But I'd really like to see her meeting Yae. At the very least it might tell us what her ears are actually supposed to be. They do be looking very foxy though.
just a quick thing!!! Albedo is *not* backwards in his stages of Alchemy,, his is derived from Ancient Egypt, the original creators of Alchemy itself~ the stages are Nigredo, Albedo, Citrinitas; the Dark, the Moonlight, the Sun; Soil, Chalk, Gold. Rubedo is the process in between, the Sunrise, the Change, the Refinement. the source everyone has been getting information from to say hes backwards comes from a guy (not too long ago) trying to explain the processes in relation to the stages of death, further adding to the misunderstanding of the *original* processes of Alchemy, by the Ancient Egyptians,, Ancient Egyptians started talking with Ancient Greeks, taught them Alchemy, they made advancements in both places, and then the Romans came and messed everything up, so alot of the actual original processes and meaning got taken over by greed and the literal "turning lead into gold" instead of 'purify something to its stability' and in game, its stated that people didnt think much of Alchemy... other than helping make a thing or help a little here and there. until Albedo came around and showed them what its capabilities are~
I just had a crazy thought about Mona , if Mona writes for the court of Fontaine, what if we saw her in Fontaine and if Sandrone is the main antagonist for the Fontaine archon quest ,what if sandrone controlled Mona like a puppet and Mona would be come like a boss fight. I’m mean sandrone’s code name is “ marionette”
Can't wait for secrets of the other regions, I love this so much! Also, I hope we get more in-depth lore about magic and the witch coven The Hexenzirkel. I feel they were glossed over too quick.
The part when Nahi showed us the fairy tale that she hide somewhere in Irminsul, many ppl just didnt regconise but the main idea of the part is “There is someway to evade Irminsul not to change or erased the information by hidden in songs, stories or poems”. Seems like Venti sus again in the lore of ọther nations
I feel like Diluc’s intelligence network includes high ranking people in the adventurers guild and even the Hexenzirkel. He probably knows (or at least has correspondence with) Dori, Beidou, Ningguang, and any other well-connected people who might be known internationally. He also hunted the Fatui harbingers for a while. It’s in the manga. He didn’t manage to kill any of them but he foiled Dottore’s plans in mondstadt. I really hope Diluc gets to kill Dottore. It would be revenge for Crepus. Either Diluc, or Collei since she suffered at his hands. Alternatively an Alhaitham and Kaveh teamup would be pretty cool since they represent the 2 sides of Deshret, rational and emotional. And though Deshret also did some questionable things, he ultimately did what he did with his people’s best interests at heart (including sacrificing himself to save them from his mistake) and he valued his friends more than anything else, which is the exact opposite of Dottore putting experimental results ahead of lives, loyalty, and ethics.
I think Mona's voice line for Venti is easily overlook, because before the wind thingy. Mona saw a scryglass while looking at Venti's constellation. Or it's just me?
Mona's vision doesn't actually glow when you use an ability. She just use it as a memento from his master. she can use hydro abilities because she is a mage like klee's mom and the coffin 🧍♂️
idk if this is translation weirdness or not and if someone can correct me on this please do, but everything that you can see about klees status in the knights of favonius, she is considered a full fledge knight without directly stating it
Well, I think there was some mention that she was supposed to go to the Chasm, as part of an official mission, to help with some demolition tasks but she got grounded and wasn't allowed to go.
I have not gotten a lot of character stories yet, but now I'm very much intrigued after learning Barbara can apparently use a sword and may be GOOD with it??????????? Also, love these smaller chill with minor lore videos. It's nice learning about the characters in some ways both light hearted and more serious of themselves.
To be honest Mondstadt's story feels unfinished in a sense. Like there's an expansion and/or timeskip incoming. The one I personally feel for the strongest is Noelle. I really think that she'll have a "you don't need to be a knight to express the values of one" moment, where, in spite of people fearing for her safety, she decides to help and completely turns the tides in a huge upcoming conflict.
Monds was never finished, its only 60% map expansion, also the place is full of mystery so it make sense that mhy left it until Fontaine (according to leak,we get mond expansion in Fontaine later update)
I feel like Mondstadt, the place we started, will be part of the end story to conclude everything. So we may have to wait awhile to conclude some of the story arcs, However, they've name dropped the Port town in the Mondstadt a few times, so it will likely be an expansion. Also there is the missing company of Knights on expedition, so another future opportunity from Mondstadt content. Varka, Nymph, and both of Jean/Barbara's parents are on it. And a second Venti Story quest. So it might be a long while for a conclusion, but we should have upcoming content.
you barely even touched upon Venti's fake stories For those who haven't read his 2nd story, Venti has a habit of portraying Lord Barbatos as a mischievous trickster god in his stories and poems, something highly unapproved of by the church of Favonius
Eh. I can't really see her as a scary person. She's as kind as Noelle and that maid had troubles with getting a claymore tough enough to withstand her power. Noelle's not scary.
Happy new year Aster! Thanks for deep diving in the lore and digging up such wonderful details, love the content and your personality in general! Keep up the great work and keep being awesome!
What bothers me, like, a lot, is the fact that Sucrose uses anemo hypostasis emulation as her elemental skill and burst. It has nothing to do with her bioalchemy infatuation; it's a completely different subject: elemental creatures aren't a part of a wildlife, according to Akademiya, at least. Her character is made of inconsistencies (she hates mushrooms because she hates death, but she also collects bones; she thinks her ears are an hereditory feature, but even her parents don't know the origin of them; she lived in Springvale, but never thought about observing Draff; her parents were the loving ones, but she's ashamed of her ears), and I honestly don't know if I like it or not.
SSR Barbara. But it's not surprising she was trained with a sword, she comes from a family of knights and her father was an adventurer. Would she just be like Jean though, a healing knight, her family seems to be more like Paladins.
monstadt of all nations feels like the most like you haven't seen the last of it, there's too much lying in wait, too much potential to be left as just the prologue chapter.
is Kaeya the only survivor of kaenri'ah? in the story it is said that the people of kaenri'ah get cursed and turned into hilichurl, so how did Kaeya survive it? and is he the only one who survive it? Albedo is not a human, so there's a chance the curse didn't befall him because of that...
Venti doesn't fake his stories, my theory is that he's preserving them from erased history. Remember that nahida said histories and memories that are hidden well in songs or poems can't get completely erased by irminsul, and that's what venti's doing.
@@ringo69420 I love this theory sm but in his character story it is stated that most of his stories are fabricated maybe some of his stories are like what nahida did, but the rest are most likely fake. I love the game it's lore and characters and I like reading books irl but for some reason I can't bring myself to read the character stories in games or the books and notes and stuff. Someday I'll go trough all of the characters stories and profiles but it's not gonna be soon.
Mondstaders:- normal modern names. Liyuens:- decent Chinese names. Inazumans:- short and simple japanese names. Meanwhile NPCs in sumeru:- archaic ancient Hindi names 😂 and incorrect gender names 😂
I feel like Sucrose being the first to introduce us into tcg while she herself doesn't know who sent her this gives me a feeling she's prolly related to someone really strong and important to story in later chaps, prolly also in the opposing side. Dottore is my guess but oh well
While some deeper meaning to it could be interesting it's also quite likely it's just some scientist who knows her but her lack of social skills prevents her from figuring out or remember who it is. Also, the person I'd like to see her being related to, even if distantly, would be Yae. They do have similar ears and Sucrose doesn't seem to know where she got them from, meaning her parents might not know either.

@@md_vandenberg What do you base that on? Her character stories and voice lines only mentions that she knows that her ears are hereditary, nothing more. I also don't remember any specific about her disliking talking about herself, just that she's unused to it. And the whole thing with her stalking Diona shows that she doesn't even know if she's got cat ears or some other kind of ears. At most there might be a line of some kind of animal ears in her family, but it all seems rather vague if there is something like that.

Wait, did the game ever confirm that Kaeya's from khaenriah? I thought it could only be called a theory atm despite the fact that it's plainly obvious that it's true
Haven't checked his story, so I assume no But in the manhua he admitted it tho I'm not sure being a spy for Khaenri'ah meant he's literally from there or he was just affiliated to it
It is confirmed that he is Khaenri'ahn. In his character Story 4, it's stated, "Kaeya’s father squeezed his son's lean shoulders as he spoke, seemingly looking right through Kaeya to some place far beyond. On the other side of the horizon sat their distant homeland of Khaenri'ah." His descriptions before later updates were also altered and so give hints: - His new attribute description says, "rumored to hail from beyond Mondstadt." - His passive talent before was called "Heart of the Abyss" it is now called "Glacial Heart" (a bit suspicious with that one) //Beyond are some facts if you're curious. Spoiler if you're not too far in the game// The only person in game who knows Kaeya’s true origins is Diluc due to Kaeya revealing the truth to him. Also in Diluc’s skin event, Hidden Strife, if you read all the letters, it is revealed that Kaeya’s family were the Regents of Khaenri'ah (meaning we can predict that the Alberich Clan was of a high status to be leaders). Also Kaeya has Khaenri'ahn features. His pupil is the same star shape as all the Khaenri'ahns we have met so far being Dainsleif and briefly Halfdan. We don't know the extent of all the star pupils but so far every Khaenri'ahn (except Albedo being created) has them. Kaeya also has linguistic abilities and can understand Abyssal monsters so to speak. This was proven as he has told the Traveler back in the ending of Mondstadt Archon quest that the Abyss is under the leadership of "The Princess" (or "Prince" if you play as Lumine). This is due to the result of the Cataclysm and the people in Khaenri'ah being turned into monsters (and yes the Abyss monsters we kill are in fact the citizens. Poor Kaeya-). Kaeya is also the only Knight in Favonius that doesn't use a Favonius fighting style listed in the talent screen. Instead his says, "Ceremonial bladework". This can be assumed to be a more Khaenri'ahn fighting style. As well as his moves in game showing him briefly teleporting (like and Abyss mage). His ultimate also surrounds him like a Cryo Abyss mage generating its shield. I'm so sorry for all this dumping. As you can see he is probably one of my favorites. This was by no means to be annoying but to answer your inquiry, yes it's confirmed. We just don't know anything beyond it being confirmed. He could have God like abilities for all we know- Lol
I think it was cause she was originally meant to be a 5 star, they changed it, but forgot to remove the animation... A similar case happened with Ningguang where the camera just automatically pans to her back when she uses her Burst, unlike other 4 stars, so maybe she was meant to be a 5 star too
