And again, I'd be remiss if I didn't say something about your (Andrew's?) video editing skills which are incredible and totally add to the enjoyment of the song. That's a good call, Edward as the sound quality on the early ones ain't that great. Hearing (and seeing them) played in crisp digital sound would be something of a revelation and I'm sure give fans of the sounds of the era a new appreciation for how they were actually created by the musicians.

Hey Ably House! I'm a huge fan of your work and I coincidentally commented on a recent video of yours to do this song! Phenomenal cover! We used an Anologman Beano Treble Boost pedal and a 1964 Vox AC30. Usually we spend about 30-45 minutes dialing in the tone and microphone settings. This one went pretty quick and was a lot of fun!

Are you guys gonna do In My Life at some point? Very interested in hearing the guitar parts clearly on that one. Both John and George play their stratocasters, and I haven't really seen anyone do John's guitar part. You can really only hear it in the riff sections and on the A/G chord in the verses.

This all sounds great! Only thing is I’d say the drums need to be hit a bit harder than that for this song - Ringo was by no means a light drummer, and lightly striking the tom isn’t going to deliver the same energy as you can hear on the recording :)

Did you by chance tune and then deliberately de-tune "John's guitar" as per Jack Douglas' great anecdote from the Double Fantasy sessions - about John saying he always de-tunes one string so his "Aunt Mimi could tell which guitar was his" on the radio. I've been haunted by that anecdote ever since - listening to John's tuning on all their history. Sort of sounds like it a bit at 0:24.

Correct. George Martin actually recorded 4 piano overdubs - between July & October 1963!! The second one was not used. The other 3 were used in the stereo mix.

Everything perfect apart from the drumming: guys Ringo was quite heavy on his set while here you’re playing extremely soft so you completely lose the raw feeling of the song 🤷🏻‍♂️
