Both games have a big player base and cool competitive games. I played aoe2 for a while but not competitive, I like the campaigns and the fact that there are many civs., the map editor is awesome and it has a retro feel to it. AoE4 is great, still requires thinking and planning, but it misses on some things and is more simplistic. I'd choose aoe4 over aoe2, though.
@@h1ghpower He's just trying to be polite to AoE2 players, but it's AoE4 by a looooooooooooooong shot. Can't go back to AoE2 now, and I actually tried. AoE4 is just much better, more modern, more pleasant to play. Very unique and interesting civs with many ways to take advantage of their perks.
