She is singing about keep fighting even in the worst moments. And that's why this song and Monika are so important. She was literally building bridges on the stage!

Apex Actually only our goverement supports Ukraine. We dont support UPA and OUN nationalists that murdered children from the order of Stephan Bandera. 2/3 of Ukraine still thinks that he was a national hero, even Poroschenko signed a honorable act which glorifies UPA and OUN. Its shocking for us Poles. Wolyn was a unthinkable massacre. Oh and back in 99 we did not bombard Belgrad. It was the allied nato force, but we did not drop a single bomb. We only took part in the humanitarian task.

Monika has a strong Eurovision message - “to build the bridge of tolerance in the name of love”. After a tragic car accident in 2006, Monika remained partially paralysed and to this day she moves in a wheelchair. She couldn’t continue her career as singer, but didn’t give up her dream to perform on stage again. She didn't submit to despair and helpless passivity. After a number of years focused only on intensive rehabilitation, she returned to active life but above all she has returned to her passion - singing! Her song In The Name Of Love is all about love, romance, and positive energy, and the stage setting well depicts that. She will not only sing, she also wrote the lyrics of the song herself, while her husband Kuba Raczyński composed the Polish entry. So it definitely is one of the most personal and heart-felt pieces of music in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. Володимир Харченко Nowegia miala najlepszy wystep w 2 pol finale. Zaskoczylo mnie ze przeszlismy do finalu. Nie oczekiwalem tego, ale ciesze ze sie wkoncu Polska przechodzi do finalu,a to pewnie wszystko przez naszych rodakow za granica.
Ile ludzi tyle opinii. Moim zdaniem najlepszy był Azerbejdżan, ale Norwegia też całkiem niezła. W tym roku Eurowizja wyjątkowo zaskakuje. Islandia moim zdaniem też była świetna a jednak nie przeszła (o ile dobrze pamiętam) no i Irlandia, która naprawdę zasługiwała na finał, a mimo to nie została doceniona. Co do Moniki mimo wszystko wypadła świetnie i była jedną z tych lepszych.

Tomasz Walter Oj daj se spokój. Doda! Może jeszcze Weekend zaproponuj. Sory ale poza wyjątkami, polskie piosenki to nuuuuda, powyższa to jeden z przykładów. Monika ma ładny głos, ale piosenka jest za słodka i strasznie nijaka. Nic dziwnego, że mało kto na nią głosował. Eurowizja to show, a tu showu nie było.

Those who sing professionally, know how hard it is to sing while sitted, when the diaphrgm is squeezed. It needs a different technique to hit the notes properly. The fact that Monika could sing so powerfully, clearly and with such a range only proves how talented she is. Well done, girl!
Tbh though I love her and admire her story and the meaning behind the lyrics, I feel that she got through due to sympathy and despite my happiness for her I also feel somehow. Anyways good luck Poland!
I don't think so. It was actually one of the best songs in the second semi final. I am happy that she gone through. She proven that a wheelchair is not a border to make your dreams come true.

Okay I truly respect Monika and I'm glad that she managed to find the strength to continue performing after her tragic accident. But honestly I don't think this song deserved qualification. It has nothing special and it's quite forgettable. Also it's a little weak vocally. But what really pissed me off during her performance was the way they took advantage of her disability just to win votes. I'm not saying that people with disabilities don't have the right to participate in Eurovision, congrats to both Poland and Finland for their entries, but just as they should participate like the others, they should also get judged like the others. To be fair, this song didn't deserve to qualify... Just my opinion, congrats to Poland and Monika anyway, see you in the final!! 😙😙 Ps. Oh and I'm sorry if I sounded mean or hateful, believe me it's just an opinion so no hard feelings ☺
Kellouka2 Well, I don't agree with everything, but I understand your reasons :) I'm really proud of Monika and I like the song- it's not perfect, but it's nice, calm ballad. I agree that some parts of her performance wasn't the best vocally, but I still like her more than that girl from Slovenia (I can't stand her voice, I don't understand why she's in the final). I hope that people didn't vote for Monika just because she's on the wheelchair- I'm sure she would be sad if it was the truth. But we all know that eurovision is not just about music for a long time (for example Lordi, Conchita). And I'm glad that my country is in the final, although I think we won't reach a high position. But anything can happen, a lot of Poles lives in the other countries :) Greetings from Poland!
