If the 007 series ended with this hypothetical movie, this song would be one of the greatest 007 themes ever written. Lines like "Keep your diamonds and your gold" and "Farewell to arms, it was never in the cards" literally can't be topped. The theme brings back elements from almost every 007 theme before it and turns it into a masterpiece. Sadly, few people will ever know what could have been and what _should_ have been.
I feel a big inspiration from Jesper Kyd particularly in the threat of the beat and general rhythm. It's very new, bringing a hitman note to James Bond. Feels ruthless and cold in the right way...
It has been revealed that Shatterhand is the new name of the next Bond adventure. You don't need to be a genius to work out that this is going to be the new James Bond theme! :D I love it!! :)

"Shatterhand" comes from "Old Shatterhand" who is a very popular fictitious character by German author Karl May. Ian Fleming took that name from an old Coffee House which he saw in Hamburg/Germany in 1959. And this Coffee House was named after Karl May's hero "Old Shatterhand". :)
Always thought that the last Craig appearence as Bond would feature a theme song more like "You Know My Name?" from "Casino Royale" so the loop would be closed. I mean don't get me wrong, I adore this song but I think it doesn't fit with the Daniel Craig era.
Excepting You Know My Name, the title tracks for Daniel Craig's Bond films have been excellent examples of missing the point. I contend the songs are good, however, who's kidding who here? Those for James Bond? The latest entry--Billie Eilish's No Time To Die--is a cringefest. Not because the song is bad; it's quite good, reaching to stellar. Not because Ms. Eilish is a poor singer; she's quite excellent. But that song, sung that way, for James Bond?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?! Sheesh, might as well Johnny Cash's Thunderball, that's at least got some verve to it!
Nope, nope, nope. With the exception of Goldeneye and Skyfall, all the title songs have been lacking since the Living Daylights. And "Writing on the Wall" from Spectre? Blech.
