Every IT admin needs to know what is going on in their environment at all times. Having a dashboard in your office on a TV and active alerts to your phone is critical in our careers. You ideally want to know about the problem before end users start calling. That’s why SNMP is very important and being able to use it to your advantage will make your life easier.

Hey Howard, Is it possible to actually count the volume of traffic (IN/OUT) and to total it within a visualization? We've built the graph - THANKS for the guide - you're amazing - but I think that it would also be great if we could include some accounting, that is, Total Volume Traffic In / Total Volume Traffic Out - And then to use Grafana's filters for the last 2 Hours, Last 12 Hours, Last 24 Hours, Last 7 days, etc., etc. Let us know. Thanks!

Hi it's great this video, I would like to ask you and request your help to recommend what I need to implement GRAFANA for monitoring remote hosts (located in different cities), and if we can create an additional account or access to provide limited access to someone that want to monitoring specific devices, not all, only some of them?

Is influxdb your default datasource or is it something else? How many datasources do you have and which one is set as default?

Use something like Zabbix/Nagios and import the data into grafana. I have another video where i show how to get data from Zabbix into grafana. Its very easy.
