Monkees - Steppin' Stone (edit) cereal box record 

The pitch is a smidge higher, but still sounds good considering it was on a cereal box. That's a definite keeper!

It's amazing any of these survived. I think mine lasted about an hour.

I don't remember the cereal box ones but I do remember finding these inside magazines like National Geographic. They didn't have the cardboard backing, it was just a thin layer of plastic with the record grooves on it. Usually the plastic was square but the record was round.

I vaguely remember these. Sounds pretty good.

They should bring these back

I remember playing these on my Close-N-Play when I was a kid.

The late 60's, the early 70's was plenty of cereal box music.

I still have dozens of those records.

I remember a record from Nat Geo Magazine of sounds of whales. Sound travels through water quite efficiently.. 🐋

Presumably the cereals that had Monkees singles were the ones that were advertised on their show.

Wow, they should make cereal boxes today with cd’s, uh, flash drives, uh....internet access!

Cut mine out personally in 1970 off the back of a box Honeycomb.
