WOW, I’m speechless. This is my favorite Joanna Newsom song and this is by far the most inspired cover I’ve ever heard of it. It mesmerized me completely and actually made me cry. Holy hell. And as if the song wasn’t complex enough already, you started singing in beautiful canon - I’m floored. I will be listening to this MANY more times. Thank you for sharing your talents and I will be checking out more of your music!
Holy shit this is incredible in so many ways. One of the handful of Joanna covers I can honestly say is just as enjoyable as the original and maybe the only I can say also creates a different mood than the original, making it worthwhile in its own right. I'll be listening to this many more times.

Really amazing cover. I've already heard this like 10 times. Joanna's music is out of this world, and this entire Album (Ys) is a testament to her ability to paint vivid and beautifully tragic stories with her lyrics, which you put front and center in this rendition. I must say that you also understand JN's singing voice very well, your voice (and your sister's) seems to comfortably sit in place of her's, without actually imitating her. The canon part was especially beautiful. Truly on the best versions (if not the best) of any JN's song I've ever heard.
Guys !! Better than the original ! I’ve always thought that a good cover of one of her songs will launch someone into mega stardom. Her songs have it all but just need to be made a bit more accessible like this.

Ugh, me too :( This was for a uni project and the deadline was looming so we had to make some compromises. It was originally gonna be a big full-band arrangement to be played on stage but then, y'know, the world ended.
