Had a few free minutes when recording my album at the Inchindown oil Tanks, the site of the world's longest reverb, so I decided to do a quick a cappella cover of No Provenance. Please excuse the flubs, we only had time for one take!
I love your work. I discovered you yesterday listening to sawdust and diamonds. It spoke right into my mind. I don't like this reverb cave😅. It sounds like someone playing the piano without changing the sustain pedal. I wonder if it would sound good somehow if the reverb notes were harmonised with.
❤️ This is amazing! Thank you…. Your voice and this song echo through the tunnels beneath that preschool (metaphorically speaking)… “And, pretty Johnny Appleseed Via satellite feed Tell us, who was it That you then loved the most? Pretty Johnny Appleseed Leave a trail that leads Straight back down to the farm Lay me down safe and warm In your arms In your arms”
One of the coolest moments I've had was at a Joanna Newsom concert walking down the back sidewalk towards the venue and seeing her and Neal the drummer eating spaghetti on the back steps of the concert hall and I yelled out, "No Provenance, please!" Neal and one of the violinists looked over me and nodded but Joanna didn't look over. I felt dumb but it was my favorite song on the new album (at the time.) And hours later, during the show - her 8th song on the set list was... No Provenance. ❤ This video is the second coolest!
@@acdeeiprrt Been obsessed with this place since way before the Tom Scott video actually. Originally found out about it when it was featured in a BBC documentary in 2016!
