Monks Building a Meditation Hall in the Forest
This video lets you peer into the intricate process of building a beautiful bamboo meditation hall on a river in the mountains of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Follow along the entire journey from the point that the Thai villagers collect local materials to seeing monks meditate in the completed structure. This activity gives you an opportunity to see the relationship between the locals, lay supporters, and Buddhist monks. This beautiful off grid River Hall was constructed to give retreat participants and the Sangha community a space to meditate out in the middle of the forest by the river. #monks #monk #meditation
