This video has been created for those who are learning Japanese language.
In this video, almost all of kanji in the Japanese subtitles are given furigana.
So it's perfect for people who are not good at kanji.
You can also learn Japanese that are actually used.
Let's listen to real Japanese that is not in ordinary Japanese textbooks.

I love this format. Having the japanese and english script on a separate file is a huge help especially since it's too easy for me to "cheat" and read the english subs if it is on the video. Thank you as always for the video Yusuke san!

Ah I love those walking videos. They still remain my favourit way to practise listening to conversation i think :) I did struggle today with undrestanding but it was not so much that the translation was missing but that there were a lot of words I did not yet know. It happens. That being said about the translation being in a separate file it is a bit hard to say. I admit you are much less tempted to peek at the translation if it's in a separate file which is good. On the other hand if you do need the translation you have to pause and go to another tap and thus kinda get "torn out of the conversation" if that makes sense. I think I tend to seperate document anyway. For one, I imagine it's less work for you and for another, I often paused the vids with translations too so the difference is not massive. Btw as to the topic, not quite the same but a similar problem that I have come across in Japanese very often is words that have the same translation but different meanings. I find myself googling things like "what's the difference between uru, morau, kureru" stuff like that. Some words have grammar revolving around them so you learn them in class, but many don't. I agree with you that this is something for which teachers are a big help. Of course it's always a line to walk on, you don't want to demotivate the student by constantly correcting either and so I've noticed that often times teachers will correct and then not correct the second mistake for example. I think that's ok. After all, staying motivated and "daring" to talk are big hurdles. Anyhow, as always, thank you for yoru wonderful videos :D

I understand the reason not to put the english directly in the video, but it would be so useful if it's in the CC! That way a learner can try to learn with the Japanese subtitles only and then compare with the english subtitles! Hope that makes sense and thank you!

違和感や不自然な言い方を使うことを指摘してくれる人はありがたいです。最近レストランで二人前のものを「ふたりまえ」で注文したが、隣に待っているお客さんが「ふたりまえではなく、ににんまえの方が自然です」と言ってくれました。普通の会話では相手がそのようなことを言わないので言い方を直した方がいいと気づきません。

Hi Yusuke-san, I give you my personal opinion: my Japanese level it is not good enough to understand these kinds of monologs, I know the grammar you use, but I lack on vocabulary, I don't know the meaning of many words you use. So now I'm focusing on learning new words. I think for an advanced student, this videos without English subtitles are ok or maybe even better, because people are not distracted from the English subtitles and thay can focus on listening. I hope it helps, bye!.

Unfortunately, the English RU-vid CC subtitles cover up your Japanese subtitles. I like to read both at the same time. I would be fine with the RU-vid CC subtitles if they didn't cover up your subtitles. But this is just my preference, of course.
