I had the stinky foot kid in the back seat of the car, winter boots all full of slush and goo, her feet were cold so she takes off the boots and warms her feet in the heater air under the front seat. Carried her barefoot into the house, wet boots in the other hand thinking all is fine now and taken care of. Then Springtime comes, nice hot sunny day the car is gloriously warm and I'm running dad errands when I realize my eyes are getting very itchy, nose running, difficulty breathing. It's too early for pollen season what the hell is going on? In and out of the car a few times, the offending agent is definitely in the car so I start looking around. Stinky feet kid had left her slushy wet stinky socks on the rear floor and they were morphing into some kind of mushroom plant growth, the sock material all falling apart and super gross. More funk than I could handle.

@@Skinnamarink. he is playing a right handed bass upside down. u can tell because the thickest strings are on the bottom instead of the top. there is no rules that declared this. its just thats the way those instruments are
right. Also, it’s a right handed bass because the cutaway on the neck is higher up where you’re supposed to put your hand. He doesn’t care though. Great playing.
This might be my favorite clip of him playing. Those hands move damnnn fast but holy shit, his *feel* during those parts where the bassline trudges along. Just fits perfectly into that tempo.

Do it. My first student was a man who got his first lesson as a present from his wife for his 50th birthday. Just go into a music store and ask the nice people there to plug it into an amp. Then pluck the string and sense how it feels.

Honestly doesn't seem that bad because the lower you go the lower the note. I could see it being fine especially on bass. Guitar not so much because some of the chords would be impractical to try to play

Damn that mononeon art manifesto at the end is gold for me. I am surrounded by musicians who got trained since their childhood but they don't create music, they only repeat classic or really good stuff... I am addicted to music my whole life, but never had the chance to learn it. On top of that I wasnt able to hear until I was five and I am not sure if I can properly hear now with nearly 30.. But nevertheless I create my own music with my synthesizers and drum pads since two years. Sometimes I struggle hard with the fact that I will not reach the level of musically and the people around me say I can't learn rhythm and the musical feeling in my age.. But fuck that.. Reject the worldly idea of becoming a great musician.. JUST LIVE MUSIC! Thank you for that.
This age thing is simply not true. While it is usually way easier for children to pick up music, there actually are people who first learn to play an instrument in their 30s and do great. I recently saw a pianist playing Debussy pieces really well after 3 years of picking up piano at 34. Also, there are many musicians with hearing impairments or even deaf ones (even some that have been born deaf). So no reason to let yourself be held back :)
Anyone can learn how to play, how to write and compose, like any others before did, you only need time and some dedication But to create, something new, from scratch or from any other inspiration, that cant be teached, that cant be practized, and dosnt matter how much a virtuoso would say it otherwise, history proves, that to create you need passion and to copy just you need time, take care hope your music its doing awesomeness
I think it's even beyond what most people think- Not only is he playing left on a righty bass flipped upside down (making strings reversed)- but I've also heard that Mono is actually right handed- he uses his right/strong hand on the neck. So appreciative for everything that makes Mono... Mono.
