It's a bit plain, but it's one of the earliest console versions of the game to have "multimedia" additions - most of which it seems to borrow from the '95 Westwood version for Windows. A pretty cool title, and still very playable.
I loved this game as I kid. (I still have it, with my PS2) But I didn't know what to do, so I made overpriced trades, made unfair trades, begged at the AI's, and bankrupted myself immediately at the start of the game. I also, for the record, gave all 1500$ to an AI, then I wanted it back, but then he said no and I rolled. The next thing you know, I landed on income tax. XD
I found out that you can always win if you buy 1 street of every town by force and refuse all buy offers. Then collect money by running round and be the first with houses, since the others don't have a complete series.
I had this game from 1997 to 2002. I used to play this with my friends, half the time I won and the other half they won. Do they have a ps4 version? I thought the music was relaxing and soothing.
I was 11 when we got a ps1 and this game…it’s hard to explain the memories that come with this and the default music. Also, my name is Dana and I thought it was cool my name is in the game
NintendoComplete I do like the NES myself, but for me, I'm a N64 person, besides the versions of first ever version of Monopoly ever played aside from the actual board game.
I just don't understand why you can't counter an offer when you're prompted with one. Also, upon entering jail, it doesn't automatically take you out when you roll a third time. So when you roll a FOURTH time, you either have to pay $50 or use a card beforehand.
I played this game, and my aunt found out that the CPU will gladly trade you any property for half it's price. She proceeded to suck all the fun out of playing against her by making CPU players and being player 1, then proceeding to buy anything the computer players picked up.
Was gutted when I got this as at the time i was thinking the Genesis and NES versions where amazing this is gonna be even better but unfortunately it's a terrible version plain cards with no animation very little sound effects and no music in the auction etc just removed all the excitement it's sad that a console released in 1983 the NES has a more impressive version than a 1994 console.
