Watch the spoiler-free full competition of Monster Energy Men’s Skateboard Park at X Games California 2023!
How medal event is judged:
Semifinal:
1 heats of 12 athletes in an 18-minute jam session. If an athlete falls, the clock buzzer will sound and their run is over. Best run counts (:40 seconds max.), ranked 1-12. Judges will score competitors throughout the contest. Top 3 athletes from each heat advance to the final.
Final:
1 heat of 6 athletes in an 18-minute jam session. If an athlete falls, the clock buzzer will sound and their run is over. Best run counts (:40 seconds max.), ranked 1-6. Judges will score competitors throughout the contest.

the only reason I’m watching the whole thing. I switched to the Japan half pipe vid and was like “No Tony? Nah…” Ellis is just like icing on the cake and I mean really, what is cake without icing?

Actually the guy calling the park contest with Tony is Corbin Harris. Jason is doing commentary at x but is not calling events for the broadcast.

That kinda makes sense as much as X-Games x Skateboarding makes sense. Polar opposites of ppl, both unique in their own way. The world is so weird that yr comment makes sense. AND now Etnies are stocked in Walmart... strange times brothers. Good in so many ways, yet, if yr old enough its mental gymnastics.

Whoever judged this contest needs a medal! Like its such a hard job and u dont wanna screw anyone, plus u gotta know everybodys bag! I used to hate when they wld say Ozky wasnt doing a planned run, like he wld do the same tricks in diffrent orders, Tony put a end to that early on with like 2 sentences! I was a little worried when Corey landed the fs flip that he was gonna get a 90+ but they were spot on even with Jaggers slower run and kegans super run! Every run fell right where I think it shld on the leaderboard! Hatz off to the judges!

Best part of X Games in Ventura. Everyone was absolutely killing it here. Jagger Eaton's second run was a thing of beauty! Truly inspiring to see such dedication in a person. Thank you for hosting this event, ESPN, XGames, rad skateboarding as always. Awesome course. I kinda wish the guys had more time to skate it before hand because I’m thinking someone would have boardslid that big wooden chair hanger between the bowls. That would have been rad. Sorgente probably would’ve got that tail stall on the roof’s edge too. These guys are very awesome skateboarders.

Hey man y'all wanna keep the cameras waist up when Ellis wears those shorts? Ya know...for the kids. I don't want my son to ever ask me again "why is that guy grabbing his Pedro on tv dad? I thought you told me I could only do that in my room?" I made the mistake of watching varsity blues with him about 6 months ago. He now refuses to call male genitalia anything but Pedro. You wouldn't think it would come up that often would you? Obviously, you either don't have children or we're lucky enough to have girls. I have 3 boys. 11, 9, and 7. Guess what happened 6 years 10 months ago?? Yup. Snip snip.
