SHR being lightyears ahead of the competition in this race was immediately brought to my mind when the team was announced to be shutting down. You will be missed...
Fell asleep during this race. What happened to when we were on the edge of our seat every time at Talladega!?!? I hope today's race is NOTHING like this.
So people were complaining that these races are wreckfests and don't enjoy it, but now that it wasn't a wreck fest, people didn't like it? This was the best restrictor plate race at talledaga I've seen so far. So many strategies, battles mid pack, and a team now knowing how to dominate and have everyone be good on points for the playoffs. This is why I love SHR behind Hendrick Motorsports, because they always think of the big picture for all of their drivers and make them work together. If you didn't enjoy this race because there wasn't "enough" wrecks, then I don't know what to say
@@flamingguy21 You have to admit though, the only reason why HAAS pulled away is because they fully working together unlike other teams who are trying to get by each other. Which I enjoyed because it was a part of strategy
Nerfgunner 360 the so called fans that complain all the time have no idea want they want. This race was entertaining, and real fans like you and I realized that. The most boring talladega race was the fall 2002 race, yet because it was 2002 the complaining fans will never say that.
So NASCAR didn't throw a yellow when cars are wrecking on the track at the end, but didn't hesitate when a single tire was sitting in the grass in the infield, way off of the track.
Menard in the 21, 5th fastest car but straight pinecone at the wheel lol only side drafting was his teammates. Settles the debate of if a mediocre driver gets a good car
Good for Eric man... and to think I used to run in a higher class than that kid out at Dirt Devil's in Lakeland about 15 years ago lol Glad to see him doin well!
Thanks for uploading these whole race videos, the channel that I used to watch this on has stop being operational. From a UK Ricky Stenhouse JR /NASCAR fan #17 ftw.
I wonder if it's stage racing that made this race somewhat uneventful (aside from the aero pack). Think about stages 1 and 2. In plate races there are two main goals in a stage. 1) Stay on the track and don't wreck. 2) Stay on the lead lap. It's also good to get some stage points if you can. But otherwise, there is not really much you need to do, especially if you're running in the top ten, when you know that at a certain point a caution will be thrown. If there was uncertainty (i.e. no preset cautions or stages) the teams would need to make things happen even in the beginning of the race, as there is no preset point in which the race is neutralized. Of course the race would still be mostly about survival, but now there's no point in doing anything outrageous in stage 1 when you know that at the end of the stage it might not matter. Btw, congrats Aric for a great win!
For those of you who may have missed the race Sunday and come here to watch it........ Don't waste 4 hours of your life, go outside and enjoy the fresh air, go do that thing you've been putting off for weeks, go spend time with family........ Or better yet go to the closest railroad crossing and just watch a single file freight train go by, because it'll be exactly what this race was except it will only last 10 minutes!
Yeah, DC Comics Racing, I thought this race was boring too. No big ones, no pack racing, just 4 drivers that are teammates racing single file, like a train. This isn't good racing. Nascar should dust themselves off.
@@davids.852 Its a little miracle! As i am going to watch this as my first full Nascar race as well. So was just cheking the comments whether i should spend my time watching the entire race. I have the idea that Nascar is good for side by side racing and overtaking.
For once, I'm sorry I missed a restrictor plate race. Very spread-out packs. Just need to get these cars to need to slow down in the corners to spread the pack out even more.
That was about the best display of teamwork I think I have ever seen in a NASCAR race. Stewart-Haas won the pole and then their 4 cars ran together the entire race to ensure one of them would win...
I've just got to point out when William Byron was leading and they went to break Rick Allen said the guy from Charlotte leading at Charlotte. Aren't they racing at Talladega?
Crashing is not racing. Overtaking and passing is racing. People who want crashes or the big wrecks are not actual race fans. They are just random people who likes to see cars crashing in spectacular fashion. So, they should leave NASCAR and go watch those seconds to disaster videos on Discovery or RU-vid. Its better for them and for real race fans as well.
But still, disaster videos on discovery and youtube ≠ bunch of car crashing at speed of 200 miles per hour. That's why "fake fans" watch nascar for crash i guess.
@@박대찬-e4x No, i have seen many racing car crash videos on those seconds to disaster type shows on Discovery. They show cars barrel rolling spectacularly or multi car crashes.
This is the definitive Worst Talladega Fall Race of the Gen 6 Era. Barely 3 wide action, barely anyone racing each other, might as well call this the SHR-Dominating-Things-For-Apparent-Reason 500. I'm glad that Almirola got his first win the 10 Car in 2018 and his first Playoff Victory, proving once again that Danica Patrick is an awful NASCAR driver, but it still doesn't help that this race was very disappointing and dull. If 2020 was a wreckfest of Fall Talladega Race, this is definitely a snoozefest in that category.
For all the crap this race has gotten, I thoroughly enjoyed this race, because it brought to me a different sense of excitement. The different strategies being played by multiple teams, Stewart Haas' dominance and break aways reminding me of 90's style plate racing when a group of cars get single file and drive away from the pack that's side by side. Especially the end, when they were trying to gang up on the 4 SHR cars had me on my feet going "CMON, GO GET THEM" hoping that it'd work and getting pissed when someone being stupid and not going on the offense. (I'm not gonna call out names) This race brought me so many emotions I've never experienced all at once while watching a plate race.
I still think that this is global parody. The LS engines from Chevrolet are the number one engines in the world. They still sell 100 engines for every 1 that Ford sells. It sucks to be you (Ford).
If this is Talladega with all that space and still no passing then I CANT WAIT TILL THE DAYTONA 500 💩 #GodAwfulRacing Bring back the 2001 package already
@@despacitosuarez and as i said do your research as to why Dale Sr died and dont blame it on the 2001 or any rules package. And fyi i fucking hate the big one. Also if i want someone to die ill come right out and say it to their face. You wanna talk racing then fine. But accusing someone of wanting someone to die? Well you better say that to evey nascar fan today who wants the 2001 package back. Try sayin something that stupid to their face though. Im sure eventually someone will break your face for accusing them of something so fucking stupid. Damn grow the fuck up and take the panties off. Your a man. Fucking act like it.
Need to get rid of the damn restrictor plates make the handling better and lettm eat It would be so much more interesting again .no more timing lights just put a speedo that is calibrate d to pit road speed only when you on pit road gave it on a switch or button it'll come on and it only goes up to 60 mph that way they can do pit road speed and there would be no excuses for speeding.ir a push to pass like in f1 cars . Have a button that throws 75 hp but then u use more gas but you get a spot or first place then u might have to put for fuel I think it would make Nascar very interesting again
When is NASCAR going to put the full race videos up 'Live' in a pay-per-view format? Based upon the aggressive nature by which NASCAR goes after youTube channels who attempt to re-broadcast these events, we know a demand exists for PPV and a fan base would certainly develop here. Perhaps their fractured contracts with cable TV prevents PPV, but there is a compelling argument to do so; to wit: FANS!
With the NBC and Fox stream apps being free with your cable or satellite info, the amount of people that would PPV a race from RU-vid are astronomically low in my opinion. I wouldn't do it unless I could cut cable and save a lot of money
@@Broncos18man: Sure its "free" with your cable package. Many of us no longer spend over $1000/year to get cable and indeed, have cut it off entirely. It is entirely up to you if you want to pay for cable, or not. Just like it would be up to others to decide if they want to pay a small premium to see it live. NASCAR already posts it for free viewing, after the event, just like this video.
@@WhatAboutTheBee I agree with people should have the choice. I don't think NASCAR would do it unless it had some way to be rather expensive. The TV deal is so big they wouldn't take a chance on thousands cutting cable and NASCAR 'The Business ' losing money worse than they are
@@Broncos18man: Its really the wave of the future. More and more households have cut cable. My friends did it. We did years ago, when we realized just how much we were spending to only see some of NASCAR's events. We weren't that enamored of the remainder of Cable TV's offerings to make it even look palatable. Haven't looked back and I haven't missed anything except some live NASCAR racing! I can still see the event, without commercials, just a few days later, but by then I know the result. Many sporting events have gone the PPV route and it has worked out well for them. Boxing, MMA are two stellar examples. I am just attempting to put a small bee in NASCAR's future bonnet. Otherwise, as fans 'cut the cord' and drift away from Cable TV in general and NASCAR in particular, who is left holding the bag?
57:55 people might be talking about the race, but this song is so fire that it has managed to stick with me for almost 5 years since this race, anyone know what this song is called? edit: Nevermind, I found it, it's called Body Check by Chuck Kentis
