The music that played during the Ash Ketchum fight made me remember how Frontier had separate locale themes for the different ranks. Something like this is what I'd imagine the ancestral steppe's G-Rank theme would sound like. I really hope that's something they implement in MHRise or the rumoured MH_Eternal

I really hope they bring the old Mount mechanic into Monster Hunter rise when you can actually see the meter bar and know when the monster is almost down and also allow you to move around freely would be nice if they combined it.

You can tell in World. There’s a white, glowing circle around the mini map while your mounting. The smaller it gets the closer you are to completing the mount. I can get why you wouldn’t know this though since it’s in no way obvious, or told to you in any way.

Really tempted to start fresh and beat G rank for the first time. I just finished beating every monster in iceborne solo and have done everything in the game I wanted to do. So now I gotta move on to another MH game until Rise gets the expansion

You better start crafting some G-Rank sets now because once you start getting in G2 and G3 quests, most of the monsters at that point can literally kill you in 1 or 2 hits if your gear is not up to par.. Don't even let me mention Gogmazios and the G3 Elder Dragons.

You know, I really miss starting in random areas in Sunbreak. What happened to the Locales being too dangerous to get you to the Base Camp safely? That big "Oh shoot" moment when you are right in front of the Monster.

@@enigma7129 3H was pretty good I agree. When it comes to Fates, I prefer Conquest specifically. While the story wasn't the best, gameplay-wise it was fantastic. The replay value is very good in that game and lunatic offers a tough but fair challenge (for the most part). For me, Conquest is the FE I've enjoyed the most out of those I played (Fates, 3H, Echoes, Awakenings, Shadow Dragon, Sacred Stones).

Does anybody remember going into the Gathering hubs and having people asking you to post chameleous quest because if you posted the quest they could join it but they can't post a quest because they're ranked it's not high enough?

Never encountered it myself, but I recognized it was technically possible (I remember trying to farm G-rank Shagaru through Guild Quests because I couldn't find the proper G-rank quest yet)

No issues whatsoever :). Download any latest citra build and either download the 4u decrypted version for free or "dump" your game from your 3ds onto citra if you wanna continue with your save. Then connect your controller and map the buttons. Should be good to go :)

Ah, Tidal Najarala is one of my least favourite monsters in this game. There's nothing worse than suddenly getting sniped by a ball off water that has been bounced around 5 corners just so it can hit you from off-screen.

I hate fighting Tidal Najarala too. For sanity's sake, if you find yourself fighting it, prefer using an impact phial Charge Blade.
