weapon user is not the same as weapon main, in case you didn't know the concept. And Fio is a sns main even if she tries out hammer. Having said that I enjoy hammer much more than sns in sunbreak ^^

Thanks to Kagero's story, I think it's going to be Amatzu. On the other side, if the leaks are true, then it's probably going to be either Namielle or Velkhana.

@@randomblackgaming4609 I'm honestly not sure about Amatsu since Amatsu fits Rise's vibes more than Sunbreak's (and Sunbreak kind of disregards all of Rise's aesthetics and artistic directions). It would still be great to see though, I love Amatsu's fight so much

@@randomblackgaming4609 the leaks also straight up confirm Amatsu. So it's very likely going to be Amatsu. The leaks also don't quite confirm an iceborne monster. It could very well be a brand new elder, as well. Which is what I expect we'll get in the final update

@@WhiteRaito Most of worlds event quest rewards were crossover and weapons from player competition weapons (eg: ignition "impact" and "black eagle" charge blade or what have you) i think this is more of a consequence of the crossovers from world being better than the crossovers from rise because A team gets a bigger budget, Sad that they couldn't get the level of crossover they had from GU back , but then again that's an extremely high bar imo. ( looked it up , most world and GU event quest rewards are crossover) I do agree that jokey fun weapons/ armour should be event quests (like the buff armour) but im not losing sleep over it.

@@Paradox1012 i am not losing sleep too because of it at all because i stopped playing it after TU 1. but when i see these DLC trailers again it reminds me of how we do not have any layered DLC weapon outside of the main game yet they sell... Iirc we got the UFO and Meat Hammer and fish DB , Tuna GS and Royal Order (?) or Royal Guild ? i forgot the name and there should be a couple more too. Like I said the problem for me is the worry of they gonna push more on the next iteration which probably not a day 1 anymore for me ( i used to day 1 MH) but i will see like 2-3 months if they push harder on the main line then i guess i might drop the series altogether.

I don't think one character pronouncing a monster's name really confirms how it's pronounced, just look at arceus from pokemon and how the pokemon company pronounced that over the years

Navirou says it the same way in Stories 2, and I feel like they must have said it in World or Iceborne at some point.

@@glavenus1447 I agree, very predictable monster, but heavy hitting. As long as you're able to dodge/counter his moves he's cake. The dual threat quests can be tough, like the furious rajang one...I basically had one rajang help me take out the other and once it was by itself it was game over lol seems to be the best strat for me😂

@@minuano9304 Resuscitate works a bit different tho, it’s not necessary debuff but statuses also trigger resus, like with elemental blights and bubbly dance. Another thing, it does not stack. Im talking about a skill that stacks with every debuffs and only debuffs.

@@deesix3504 kinda just sounds like worse resuscitate then because you have to be negatively effected by a condition and you won't really have more than 1 debuff unless you happen to be bad at fighting espinas, and even then you can't fight back while paralyzed and fire blight disappears after rolling

@@minuano9304 well with new monsters to come and whatever Chaotic Magala armor effect will be there are odds, and how many atk point it would give play a role too. I use Resuscitate tho, I like its idea.

It's still Gore Magala so it should be capturable. It's not classed as an Elder Dragon as far as the game is concerned. At least in previous games.

I hope that Elder Dragon in FTU 4 is either Blackveil Val Hazak, Velkhana, Namielle, or Amatsu.

Um, I could've sworn that CapCom, awhile back before the title updates started, stated that the "new" monsters will only be VARIANTS of existing monsters. Did I hear that incorrectly, then?

@@stripedrajang3571 Capcom is not the best in naming stuff especially in naming Monster Types so for your own sake just take the content for what it is..

It will most likely be in late January or mid February 2023. I thought they meant next year's Christmas at first but it says winter not Christmas so it will be very early in the year that we get it

@@Elyrium42 its just a joke but i would not exclude it 100 percent. Like may be 5 percent chance it would happen. If anything i believe what likely gonna happen is... they gonna deliberately worsening weapon and armor design to something as bad as world base game and sell their layered so people buy it. Which is gonna be a no buy for both the game and dlc for me. They already take the goodwill from me in sunbreak. After all of 4u gu world they have been on my good dev book list. But rn they are out from it. So i will not trust em until i see proof. Like may be 3-6 months after mh6 release and check how many dlc they sold compared to what is in game or even world.

It's likely going to be a while until we see Alatreon or Fatalis again, and unless Safi/Kulve are remade from the ground up, we likely won't see them again for ages. Plus, if we get Fatalis again, I'd much rather it be Crimson or White Fatalis instead of base Fatalis.

I dont think server based sieges will be a thing in this game considering we dont have those crazy big lobbies from World. Thats for the best if you ask me. I got into World very late and had to struggle slaying Safi Jiiva with no one to help me online. I would love to see a revamped Safi Jiiva that can be played solo, but my money is on Amatsu for the next elder dragon release. Risen Valstrax is a pretty safe bet for the powered up monster. As for the Fatalis level monster... like I said, redone Safi would be cool, but I would love to see Oltura being taken from Stories 2 and worked into an actual monster battle.

There is a data-mine - so not a leak, a much more grounded assessment - that points to the next new Elder Dragon having to be an Iceborne one - so not Fatalis, Alatreon, Kulve, or even Safi (since Safi in the I.D. listing is a variation of Xeno, making it in the World slots) - so it's most likely either Namielle, Velkhana, or Shara Ishvalda. And that same data-mine also points to Amatsu, that is correct. As well as either some new version of Malzeno or a completely new monster to Sunbreak. It also seems to imply that there will be both a Risen Shagaru and a Risen Crimson Glow - seeing as M.H. doesn't live on the Three-D.S. anymore, the long name should be of zero issue, and having Frenzy and Blood-Blight is a non-issue seeing as we got Afflicted Gore last update - the lore even states that they're actually pretty similar, given the things Tadori says about it all. As for it being "a bit much to deal with," well, Sunbreak hunters are already O.P., and we'll be getting even more insane power creep after this update with the new Risen sets, better Qurious Crafting, and possibly what Chaotic might bring to the table, so it probably won't be too much, thing would have to get absolutely Frontier levels of insane to be all that hard in Sunbreak given our current options as players.

next elder im betting my money on is Amatsu

My predictions: Dalmadur or Gogmazios for the Elder Dragon (the one that it's not will be in TU5) and risen Malzeno for the powered up monster ('oh but malzeno can control the qurio yaddah yaddah', not if the qurio got powerful enough to overtake it and then we get risen malzeno)

It isn't. They just worded it wierd. They should have said early 2023 and not winter 2023 even though that is technically correct.

Because winter (v.14) encompasses December, January and February. Spring (v.15) comes after that.

We would've gotten them as event quest rewards in past entries. The event quest lineup has been ABYSMAL lately, this wave looks better, but once again they've put all their time and effort into something they can charge us more for.

They seemed to manage to create tons of great quests and rewards back when monster hunter was a niche series that didn't pull anywhere near the amount of sales. I see the writing on the wall. If we don't push back when it's "just cosmetics" then we'll be getting paid monster bundles in the next entry or two you mark my words. And their defenders excuses when that happens? Time and effort aren't free.

@@theskynetguy2627 yea no. variants have 1-2 different attacks and a different color scheme, essentially they are the same but with some gimmicks. 90% of the experience and gameplay is the same

Monster hunter is selling better than ever and yet we keep having content stripped away and sold back to us. Some things I'm fine with, charging to run around as Fiyorayne is fine because her armor is already in the game, classic mucic tracks? I'd prefer you add them free as a loveletter to your loyal fans of decades, but fine. But layered armor and weapons? No. It's not even like it's some crazy colab that cost them alot to get in the game and so the need to make their money back, these are BASIC items we've gotten in times past. I honestly REALLY love risebreak, it has some of the best additions to monster hunter I've seen in years. But if we don't push back against this now, while it's just cosmetic, we'll be getting paid monster bundles in an entry or two you mark my words. "They'd never charge for that" I hear you say. If you had told me I'd have to pay to wear the cat head I did an event quest for in 4u I wouldn't have believed you.

@@alitabattlebot013 As long as it remains cosmetics, I just don't care. The second it offers an in game advantage, I'm against it, til then I don't mind what they sell. People seem to think that if it wasn't for the e-shop we would be getting these items in game, when its more like we wouldn't be getting them at all.

@@functionatthejunction personally, one of my main motivators to keep playing is to fashion hunt. Long after I've completed every quest I still grind away for the perfect corpse dress. As I said, I'm fine with certain cosmetics being paid, heck, if the quest rewards were better I probably wouldn't mind them charging for these layered weapons. And regarding your last point, as far back as mhFU on the PSP we were able to download event quests, monsters, and rewards cosmetic and otherwise. (MhFu is the oldest title I've played so I can't speak for earlier entries). So I don't feel they have a leg to stand on with regards to the quality of their quest rewards. It's all speculation anyway, as they haven't stated why there seems to be this dip in quality, they don't address it as if it's not there. So we're left to speculate. Some attitude it to Rising costs, some to the quality of current games. I attribute it to greed.

@@salamanderpreston2044 It makes complete sense in this context. Of everything shown, the only thing of interest for this update video is Chaotic Gore Magala and whatever the Elder dragon might be in a future update. Everything else, not interesting.
