Risen Chammy was the highlight of TU 2, I am incredibly excited for Risen Teo and Kush. Risen Elders as a whole are fun and challenging fights, with enough extra flair to disrupt your familiarity with a Monster's move set. I've never fought Chaotic Gore before, but the fight here looks wild. Very excited for this update, and the following ones next year! Though I expected maybe a couple more monsters to compensate for this being the final update of the year, but I'm fine with what we're getting, it's a little extra content to give me a reason to go back, having already got all the Awards.

Risen Chameleos definitely wasn't the highlight for me at all, didn't feel too different from normal Chameleos whatsoever besides inflated damage. Only one of his new moves increased his difficulty and the rest were pretty useless/seldom seen, both Violet and Flaming were much more memorable thrills.

With the follower system I finally feel encouraged to play rise again, after I finished the OG final boss story. rarely being able to find players to play with(on PC), in non-story related quests felt kinda boring/lonely, I played monster hunter solo since the first one, but I think world's multiplayer spoiled me, the region lock thing on rise's PC port is really annoying, it cuts a lot of potential players you could interact with, and not being able to choose the SOS quests, having to choose random quests until you choose one that someone activated SOS, was the most frustrating part and what made me stop playing.

Chaotic Gore literally only have half side of its body that's as powerful as Shagaru though, against a fully molted Shagaru Magala, Chaotic Gore won't last long, especially since the thing is slowly dying from Shagaru's stronger frenzy virus infection in the first place. It's like one side of your body is around the age of 30 years old while the other side is still around 16 years old.

It seems with Chaotic Gore, does this mean sunbreak is possibly going to start transitioning into adding new monsters along with risen variants? Such as either ones from Frontiers Roster or returning monsters from previous titles, the next title update just says "Elder Dragon" which I hope they bring an Elder Dragon from Frontiers roster or bring Amatsumagatsuchi back.

Looking at the datamines... It will probably be either Amatsu (although it's more likely that it will be the superboss of the final update) or an Iceborne Elder dragon, most likely Velkhana.

I'd like an option to remove the song list from the ui while playing hunting horn, without also removing the note ledger and circle that tells me when the infernal melody is ready. I'd like to have a cleaner UI in hunts, as playing hunting horn then shaping over to something like the Lance makes it pretty clear that the song list takes up quite a bit of screen space. This would be an especially helpful option on the switch when we play in handheld mode.

I know right paid layered armor and weapons just hit me the wrong way, like I was ok with pendants and furniture in world but the main gear should always be earnable in game. Even the dev used to say that they disagree with microtransactions because it dilutes the sense of earning something through a fight, so much for those words huh.

Good job on the added follower quests. Glad that chaotic is back. Better event quest rewards this update. More paid layered weapons? I'm getting strong frontier vibes from these new "risen" monsters where you add some colored spikes to a monster and call it "new". Why have Fiyorayne do the announcement? Don't get me wrong, Fiyorayne is awesome and I will hunt with my waifu until the sun burns out. But when I saw that she was hosting I thought you'd be doing something like "hey! Here's dalamadur reworked for rise!". I'm glad chaotic is back, but he's essentially another re-skin recolor of an existing monster. Honestly the only this saving this update is the fact that I don't have to farm anomaly quests solo anymore. So thanks.

If you look at the wiki all it says is that the gore magala experienced some kind of trauma, nothing specific though iirc.

Shagaru Magala release pheromones in their frenzy which prevent all gore magalas in the area from reaching adulthood, I'd assume chaotic was affected by these pheromones during its molting process and got cut short half way through

Whenever a Shagaru is in the same area as a Gore, it produces pheromones or some kind of chemical that halts any and all Gores that were beginning to molt into Shagaru. This is to thin out as much competition as possible. Curiously though, Gore that are too young are not affected by the pheromones or chemicals a Shagaru emanates, giving them ample time to flee the area and allow themselves their own strand of potential Shagaru territory. Meaning future Shagaru on Shagaru violence.

@@trynaka1421 Yeah, It really sucks. But if the events are actually worth more than just titles and stickers and are also fun, it might just outweigh the negatives of paid layered weapons.

Excited about Chaotic Gore and more challenges with Risen elders but this paid dlc when we barely get stuff in events in lame. I am fine with paid dlc but we now have 2 sets of paid layered weapons. We at least need a set you can earn in game.

As someone who hunted him so much in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, i think you will enjoy the hell out of it. He feels far more "chaotic" and savage compared to normal Gore and Shagaru Magala, and from all the variants of the franchise he has my favorite ost, the mix between the Gore and Shagaru themes is really fucking good.
