Weirdly enough, he is my least favorite last boss out of all MH. A pushover, reskin of a swimming Lagiacrus. Happy with what I see tho, he REALLY needed an update.

Amatsu feels like Narwa the Allmother, but focuses on wind based attacks more instead of lightning. While still having a lightning strike and water bullet attacks.

The TRUE serpent dragon. Narwa? Ibushi? PALE IMMITATIONS!

It's funny that in Kamura Village, the Amatsu is considered an even greater threat then even the Twin Serpents Wind Serpent Ibushi and Thunder Serpent Narwa/Narwa the Allmother themselves.

​​​@@nosakayuuma8409 Have seen the statement itself from both Fugen and Hamon. At face value, it does implies that Amatsu is a threat greater than Ibushi & Narwa combined. Is Amatsu stronger than Wind Serpent Ibushi? Definitely, but I don't think so when it comes to Thunder Serpent Narwa, let alone, her Allmother form. If Apex Zinogre actually has a chance like this to injure Amatsu with its Golden lightning attacks, which is still effective against Amatsu despite the dragon also controls and use some lightning based attacks himself. Then this implies that Golden lightning is a way stronger kind of electricity than Amatsu can handle off. (We get to ride Apex Zinogre after its Turf War animation with Amatsu, in order to deliver some nasty damage towards the dragon via Apex Zinogre's Golden lightning attacks) Then an arguably stronger wielder of Golden lightning attacks in the game which are Thunder Serpent Narwa & Narwa the Allmother does have a chance to square up against Amatsu, and Tie against each other in a Turf War situation instead of losing to Amatsu. Also Lore-wise, Narwa's hide material is stated to be very well insulated with electricity, to the point of lightning strikes would feel like a mere bug bites for her. So undoubtedly speaking, Narwa can actually tanks Amatsu's lightning based attacks. She's only have to worry about Amatsu's wind based attacks and some water based attacks. While in return, she could capable of Injuring Amatsu with her various ways of using Golden lightning attacks. I do think Amatsu is more aggressive than Narwa and Ibushi in general though, since it has the track records of destroying villages and towns everytime it passes by, add to the fact that Amatsu is very territorial to its own airspace. Hence it does make sense for in-universe people to consider Amatsu to be a greater threat than Narwa & Ibushi combined. Since the track records of the Serpent implies they only becomes active and destructive during the time of their mating season. And that we basically have zero information regarding Narwa & Ibushi's activity outside the mating season.

@@meremsolomon4744 Amatsu is definitely stronger than the two combined, its the closest monster to black dragon level outside of maybe dala/zorah with how its the very last unlock before black dragons in GU, and in 3rd gen is one of the three final bosses of the gen, with the other 2 both being black dragons. It practically is a first class dangerous monster in all but name.

She got the fatalis treatment, I hope her armor will be nasty one since it’s final update (if you don’t count the bonus update) Gave her 10 new movesets And probably 3 super moves Seriously what da hell is that zonewide all hunters going airborne move Her super tornado suction And her signature 3 water beam attack

Actually, no. Bonus update is bigger then you might realize. We can tell from the image and roar it's Malzeno, which means that that is the conclusion to the anomaly plotline. Malzeno variant gonna be crazy

Need that to compensate for the lack of black dragon level threat in this game. Its the first game to lsck one and the first game to bring stuffs from Frontier

if mh6 is an anniversary title alot of monsters are going to be in it

would be happy if mh6 will be such a game with hundreds of monsters and new moves like in mhgu. but the chance is low, since mhgu isnt that old we will have to wait a year and see..

prob not that easy because the monsters in sunbreak still are lower fidelity in models and also in a different engine then world. Ofc its not impossible but it would require a lot of model updates and wouldnt be nearly as easy to make as the roster in GU was

Hard agree. The high-level decorations are gorgeous but the grind to get them is exhausting the way it's set up now.

I mean hey the long we wait the bigger the reveals will be for MH6

mh6 wont be announced or teased that fast, since its not releasing before 2024 probably reveal at this one japanese or capcom or whatever show at the end of the year. dont know exactly which show it is

Same because the Switch version is garbage and playing it feels awful. Meanwhile PC, Xbox, and PlayStation all have great versions that run at 60fps or higher. Means while the switch version literally becomes WORSE frame rate and loading times each update.

@cartoonvideos5 it's more of my fault I hate Rise. I challenged my self to play without using wirebugs (in combat), which means no silkbind attacks or wirefall. It was fun up until mid g rank, where I noticed massive HP bloat, no matter how aggressive I played fights took 35-45 minutes. Then you also have some monster with attacks you must wirefall out of to avoid (like kushala, magnamalo, and garangolm) which is super annoying. And I don't want to start using wirebugs and stuff because I've already beaten to post Gaismagorm without wirebugs, why should I start now? This game was not meant to be played this way but I'm too stubborn to change so I'd rather quit and not bother grinding MR. Overall though I haven't noticed any technical issues on the switch. For me Rise feels more like Devil May Cry than the monster hunter I know and love. Hope 6th gen slows down combat a bit. Biggest wish is for the healing flex to return when using potions

@@thefraser5131 Well that’s definitely a you problem, not using wirebugs when it’s a main part of the game will cause you to have a bad time, that’s just logic. It would be like not using the verticality or mounting in 4U. What I’m complaining about makes a lot more sense, because Capcom could have released the game ok all platforms but instead had to trick everyone into buying garbage Switch version. The Switch version is awful, sub 30fps drops, pixelated muddied graphics, long loading times…

@cartoonvideos5 yeah, I wish I wasn't so stubborn, whenever I try to use wirebugs again my brain is like "ThAT'S ChEaTIng" and I abandon quest lol. Wish I never started doing that to begin with. For other criticisms against rise that aren't so personal, is that it is too "fast". What I'm basically saying there is that for me, a major part of MH is how deliberate your actions are, how you have to know when to heal, when to run away, etc. If you try to attack or heal recklessly you'd face failure, you had to find good opportunities to hit weak spots, heal, set traps, etc. But the Rise has made it so you can counter nearly everything (multiple weapons have a "parry" now), you can heal practically whenever with no consequence, and it's easier to outmanuever monsters so you are constantly attacking their weakest spots. Also spiribirds suck, I want my Max HP bar, why cant I just use max potions instead of collecting birds for the first 5 minutes of a hunt? I honestly feel like 3U and 4U perfected the combat speed of monster hunter, with Generations and World being a bit too fast, and Rise being WAY too fast, and with FU being too slow with monsters being easy and predictable (only being hard due to the crazy amount of damage FU monsters did, a single mistake was massive). As for FPS, I don't really notice 60FPS vs 30FPS, when I got a new PC and monitor, my friends said I would totally notice the difference, but messing around with FPS in multiple games, I haven't noticed any real difference. I'm practically a troglodyte in that regard lol. One final thing, load screens on switch are kinda bad I agree there, can't say for PC/other console ports. And finally I wish the instant quest join function would die. The Hubs in the older games were always more personal and I had tons of unique interactions with other people in hubs. They exist in Rise too thankfully, but people don't talk as much and are not used by as many people. Actually, instead of removing the SOS quest joining, they could create an incentive to do hubs, like extra HR points, or bonus rewards for hunting in a hub. Removing it entirely is a bad idea, I take that idea back, the increased incentive for doing hubs is a much better stance to take.

@@thefraser5131 I agree with most of your statements here. Spiribirds suck and having to “farm” during a quest is nonsense. I don’t like all the counter and parry gameplay. 4U was definitely the perfect game to me in terms of combat. I do miss the hubs from older games but it does help clear up toxicity. I noticed the fps once I got a PlayStation 5.

Played portable 3rd and he wasn't that good of a fight even if they didn't add him no one would be missing much
