Hey Ruri, nice sets! Just thought I'd throw out a suggestion for anyone interested. I've been experimenting with various options for the level 4 deco slots, since it often seems to be underutilized with our current decos available. One that I've been using and having a lot of fun with is using the level 4 evade window. I've found that if you're using evade extender already, 2 levels of evade window make evading through attacks a breeze. Better to not get hit at all than take less damage when you do get hit and so on. Cheers!
Ruri, just fyi, the professor is for male chars. If a person makes a female char, like me, it’s the chanti armor. Keep up the good work. I want to see your top lances you like. Maybe in the future.
Great video! I've been doing a lot of build experimentation and love to see how similar ideas cross over. Sidenote for that last build: for those of us willing to trade away Divine Blessing, the Scholarly Strongarm gloves have 3 built in Recovery Ups and a Free Meal, all for the same amount of slots! Shout-out to mhrise wiki's Armorset Search feature for helping point out armor pieces that can help your build.
Ruri this video was incredible! I've been trying to learn gunlance styles besides full burst spam for so long and could never understand it, and it turns out it was a build problem the whole time. Very exciting! I've been having a blast ever since seeing this vid right after you uploaded. Wanted to say - I think the immortal corn build at the end is even more effective at never dying with the arakna normal lance, the full burst POP feels like a much better heal than the sustained blasts with the corn. But that might be me still using the wide shell wrong, to be fair.
So far I've just been rolling with full Bazel and it has worked out pretty well getting thru the story. Looking forward to upgrading to a more effective mixed set though so this video will be super helpful. Thanks Ruri!
@Rurikhan Justo be sure, did you include non-wide elemental gunlances in your elemental tests? The Giga Volt Gunlance has more than double the thunder damage of the Dragon Gunlance, and access to a Rampage 2 slot (+5% damage!). Between that and the +20% extra affinity it may make up the damage loss in shelling/raw, while getting better elemental damage (and sharpness).
So I did some digging on how elemental weapons work, and purple sharpness is one of the biggest boosts for elemental damage (+10%). Daora's Tempest with his purple sharpness may be a stronger option for Ice than the Lagombalanche.
I was new to Gunlance like 2 days ago and so far the Heavy Knight set is extremely comfortable since it’s specifically created with Gunlance in mind. That quick sheath skill was something I underestimated since all I hear people say is that it’s a must for Longsword (which I barely used). It also happened to have Offensive Guard which surprised me since I also underestimated how generous of a window is required for it to proc. I always thought it would feel something like the when dodging through a monster attack. Yea so far normal shelling has been a blast on my part
Nice builds, and while is extremely disappointing to not have a ton of level 8 Gunlances (I this get fixed in the title updates) is cool you've found ways to use the level 7 ones
OMG ! Gunlance is insane ! I have zero experience with Gunlance, but despite that I was able to take down A4★ anomaly monster in less than 10 minutes. (it usually takes me 10-15 minutes) I'm starting to become a believer.
Gunlance flows very well with Dereliction+Bloodlust. 2 BBs clears frenzy which heals all red health and gives you coalescence. Pair that with offensive guard and resentment from constant dereliction = more power.
WoW Nice Guide On Gun lance ... Keep Up the good work mate, I'm new t =o the game. My only downside for me is not being part of a hunting/farming group. I can't find anyone to play with on the Switch, I do have it for PS5 and PC but I can't take my PS5 or PC to work :)
Haven't had a chance to check out all of the videos lately, been playing rise too much. How do you feel about the three blessing sets; kushala, teostra, and chameleos? Been messing around with level 3 kushala blessing for that old Vaal Hazak super recovery on lance and wondering if it's worth it.
thank you for the cool video! about the last wide healing build: is there a specific reason why you went for razor sharp considering that shelling isnt affected by sharpness? couldnt you use other skills there? 🤔
A lot of the armor pieces that come with sharpness managing skills seem to have some ranged skills as well, so they can be used by blademasters or gunners.
Hey Ruri, nice builds. Might have a suggestion to try for on the tank build. Since its so defensive and you'll be taking a lot of chip damage from bullet barrage tanks, but also have PB3, what about trying for Blood Rite 1? Would have to shift some gear around and maybe make sacrifice or two, but it'd let you heal back some of the damage from tanking hits while hitting the broken parts. And with Bullet hitting everything regardless of hitzone, its good for breaking parts.
Shelling gets less healing than regular attacks from bloodrite. That’s why the last build uses bloodrite 3 and recovery up and still needs divine blessing to really go ungabunga. I’ve tested BR1 on Bullet barrage and barely felt the effect.
@@rurikhan Alright, I havent fully tested it out with the bullet barrage, I did take a look at your wide shelling blood rite build and found that it was fairly nice for the healing, good for the afflicted hunts. For my other sets, Ive got additional attack skills such as attack, crit boost, wex.. etc, to mix in the full burst combos between barrages
Hey ruri really enjoyed that video but when trying to recreate that normal shelling build with the pyre rakna gunlance I noticed that you overdid wirebug whisperer by one lvl because one lvl in the waist and 3 in your Talisman. Maybe for once I can help you with a build after you helped me with hundreds since world. Thanks for your hard work my man :)
Damn, I just started playing Rise: Sunbreak and I can't play anywhere as efficient as you do. I still have a hard time understanding the Wirebug gameplay. Still so used to Clutch Claw from World.
how are you doing this switch skill and do automaticlie the jumping back or on side to not getting hit :( im tying it everytime and have lv2 on it but it doesnt do anything it worked only one time and then not any more
As a native french speaker, I respect your choice to not even try to say the Shagaru lance's name hahaha. Awesome builds btw! Will definitely have to try once I switch to gunlance.
I have guard up 1 on all my my GL builds. Most of us won’t be able to predict every single move or redirect every attack, for those occasions we have guard 3 and guard up 1. It’s a fallback.
hi i just want to ask... if i swap part breaker for WEX would it be better at damaging and also does shells crit? and would crit boost also add extra damage for shells...
So I'm running a long build of Canyne/Hoplite/Pyre/Bazel/Bazel/Vespoid with a Razor 2 (1-1-1) talisman. With this build I can have the GL essentials plus Destroyer 3, Stun res 3 and Divine 3.
I never was a fan of wide gunlance, but for whatever reason I find it to be insanely fun in sunbreak (not so much in base rise). While bullet barrage is cool to see, I also don't really like the switchup compared to the classic full burst playstyle. It's a lot less high tempo and more trying to get that bullet barrage going, which is not that fun imo.
Could you do any mixed sets that do not contain the charm you have. As you say in videos "no-one will have the charm I do" so having a set that contains most of the comfy skills for each type of gunlance would we appreciated
@@nekromax7 oh that's a great option too. For me personally I'd just slap on whatever was the strongest option for my build and then layer over still lol. I bet we get Bazel level 8 when seething releases
